5 hours on and I’m confident both fighters knew the result before they started. Never seen Fury high fiving an opponent mid fight before. Wonder why. Definitely fixed.

Couldn’t be that Fury took Ngannou lightly, along with plenty of others?

Naismith, Cornick, and Lansdown’s obsession with Luton, it has to Jones, doesn’t it? Stone me.

Would be madness getting rid of Pearson, but we could do a lot worse than Eustace if we’re going to change managers.

    Jones would be painful.

Personally I'd rather the club was financially stable, and not reliant on any outside investment. The steps made recently of bringing through academy players is great to see. Of course I'd like to see us go up, but we cannot mortgage the club to achieve that.

    • Play attacking football
    • Bring through academy players
    • Harvest a good club atmosphere
    • Might go down, might go up

Are there any clubs outside the Premier League that don’t rely on outside investment?

I definitely think we’ve played three good teams at home so far. The only points Preston have dropped so far were against us, Birmingham look like top-six material and Norwich should be there or thereabouts.

The problem I have is even before factoring in what we could spend, Scott’s sale has significantly weakened the midfield. It is patently obvious where we need to strengthen but SL isn’t willing to use any of the funds from the Scott sale. I don’t know what he’s thinking but he’s utterly deluded if he thinks we will be in the mix for the top six without strengthening in key positions.

Think we’ll struggle to finish in the top 10 without further investment in the squad, we lack too much quality in depth.

Not writing it off but something feels unnervingly stagnant with the club at the moment.

Don’t think that’s related to the manager.

I’m still not fully convinced by the football we’ve been playing but he’s earned the full season to make some progress in terms of the league table.

You appear in the minority & it looks very much a case of history repeating.

Strong successful manager is something SL finds threatening, he needs a brown noser or a mediocrity, that’s much more his style.

    Desperate stuff yet again.

We’re just waiting for Lansdown to sell now with the club on the market. It’s uninspiring as a fan but it feels to me like the clubs ticking over while we wait for new ownership. Playing it very safe with finances etc.

I loved the "Arsenal" shirt, I know some will question identify or whatever but it was something different. Bit of a collectors item in the future I reckon

I don't understand the Arsenal comparisons, it's a reproduction of a classic City shirt! Yes it has white sleeves but we've copied our own shirt not another club's.

Is finishing consistently higher than we have for 40 years not considered success?

When Lansdown took over we were mid table in the championship. Since then we have reached and lost a playoff final, been relegated, got back into the championship and are now back to being mid table in the championship. I personally don’t consider that a success, it’s continuity if you’re positive and stagnation if you’re cynical.

It’s not all doom and gloom of course, we’ve got a great academy, training ground and pitch. We also haven’t gone bust, despite trying our best at times, but that’s surely the minimum requirement of a football club/business owner.

I am sure  at home games you must enjoy attending the Gate? Who do you think was responsible and the driving force  for what has happened in BS3?
fact is SL has supported every manager he's had… get all foundations right rest will fall in place..

That’s been said for years now, still waiting.

Don’t think anyone can dispute Lansdown’s major improvements for the infrastructure of the club, unfortunately it doesn’t matter much if it’s not resulting in success on the pitch. Unfortunately we’re yet to see any bar a cup run and winning a league we shouldn’t have ever been in.

Bournemouth have zero potential and will be plummeting down the leagues in the next few years.

It worries me that city show even less ambition. Once again City and its players kick the fans in the teeth.

Based on what? Them being less successful than us in the past?

They seem to have some good money behind them now, think they’ll be there to stay for the foreseeable future unfortunately.
