  1. Experts ? https://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/fa-cup-third-round-replay-predictions-tips-best-bets-and-previews/206682
  2. Another chance for the team to get used to the four at the back. No other midweek games for a couple of weeks so go for it imo.
  3. I listened to a live report on Radio 5 last night - good exposure. The CEO said the barber was waiting for them in a City shirt and I had visions of him sharpening his cut throat razor as they came in... On this occasion, here goes, deep breath, Well done the Gas (never thought I'd say that) ! Over 35k raised, great effort. Hope he makes a full recovery soon.
  4. The Naismith selection seemed to be a shoe horn to me, but possibly a necessary one, although James is more than comfortable in that role and Williams was fit and ready. Scott and Weimann have been selected as WB to the detriment of the team imo, they are much more effective in their natural positions. I understand that they've played there out of necessitiy sometimes with no credible alternatives, but its a waste if that is his go to option. It just smacks of getting them into the team to me. NP needed to change the system to get them and others in their best positions and he has in the last two games. Hopefully, he carries on with it. Cundy up front ? Sounds like an Ian Gayism to me..
  5. Back on topic (theres a forum for politics isn't there) ? My first choice when LJ left but lost a bit of confidence in him when he persisted with round pegs in square holes and getting similar results. But second half Swansea and the Birmingham game has given me a bit of confidence back, albeit only one and a half games. I hope he sticks to selecting players in their strongest positions and doesn't revert back to things like King at centre back, Scott or Weimann at WB, etc.
  6. I agree re Sam Bell, I thought he needed a lower league loan to toughen up a bit. No comparison to Conway at this time imo, but he's got abit of time on his side, he looks to be an intelligent player. I've watched snippets of Edwards and remain unconvinced tbh. He'll probably have a career in pro football but it looks to me that his game awareness is lacking to get much higher than he is at, it may come in time, but City don't hang about to find out these days. Maybe Tinnion/NP see something to hang on to in both players, they obviously know more than me
  7. Peoples Club ! As ridiculous as that tinpot shower of shite in North Bristol.
  8. Another 8/10 performance by James yesterday (along with a few others).
  9. What about the Bouncers at Mothercare ?
  10. First game of the season in that position and he scores 2 goals. That'll do for me. Intelligent footballer, he must be to play so many different positions. His crossing may be a bit hit and miss (probably better than others in the squad, probably not as good as some), but his all round play is very good and given it was his first game in the position for us and he got 2 goals, I think he was an 8/10 yesterday - along with 3 or 4 others.
  11. They also mentioned at some point that they were going to have to cook pasta as "Kingy" was coming round for dinner His involvement doesn't seem stop at AG or the HPC.
  12. Its what happens when they're the peoples club of the city...
  13. Exactly. Plus a fit and raring to go Williams would give us a boost. Because he was getting a bit ratty in the game and still pissy when he went off. Good to see.
  14. Yep. I assume they played their kids today.
  15. ...full of first teamers, not the usual U21s.
  16. Deservedly top of the league TBF, normally its very good to watch. The inclusion of these "first teamers" hampered the young lads imo - they brought their first team play to the team and got beat by kids. Given Cardiff had a very young team out, including a 16 year old keeper, a 15 year old, and several U18s, it was an embarrassing watch and result. Well done to the Cardiff kids who had more about them than our "experienced" players. None of them (except possibly Williams) did their chances of getting a game saturday any good whatsoever, including a couple of the younger players like Sam Bell. Kadji was played out of position at the back and looked every inch a midfielder filling in at CB - not his fault and at least he looked accomplished on the ball. Knight-Lebel once again looked a class above, but thats it really imo. Embarrassing.
  17. He's playing well. But I don't think Sykes is doing his chances for Saturday any good based on the first half.
  18. They'll look like right w**k**s anyway. Tinpot, deluded, peurile, self entitled and sad, coupled with a complete lack of awareness. Not a good look.
  19. I would estimate an average of 37 hours per week over 6 days. (taking into account travelling if an away game)
  20. I thought Vyner and Scott (despite some misplaced passes) played well first half. They carried that on in the second with Pring also playing well. Thought James did ok first half tbh, but better in the second half - very reliable for us and rarely has a bad game imo, consistent 6 or 7.
  21. Agreed. The only very tenuous tiny excuse was that it was on his wrong foot and that he was caught in two minds where to pass. Lack of concentration which NP has pulled him up on before.
