There were a few occasions when he first got back where he looked to have lost a yard, last night proved he hadn't. I think he just had to get some games in and forget the injury to fully accept the recovery.
All he needs now it to be a little more aware when he's offside , time his runs better because he has the beating of most CB's. With luck Twine can feed those runs he makes and he can really take off.
The pace and calmness were good, but to realise what could happen with the backpass was instinctive . Still on for 20 goals to push us to top 8

I hope the bit in bold happens as it generally isn't working with him isolated up top (West Ham aside) and he must be feeling a bit anxious that his own aspirations are being diminished.

His game has been about getting across defenders and on the end of crosses or cut backs and that has dried up.

Hopefully, with Twine involved, it may give us a bit more variety in attack.

Published yes, actual bums on seats (or safe standing!) no.

Dave Storr, the safety officer, did a talk at a Senior Reds lunch and said due to the number of no shows at the rugby, the Manchester City game holds the rebuilt stadium’s highest actual attendance!

I think thats a subjective view from Dave.

You could say that for any game, the only objective measurement is the number of tickets sold, rightly or wrongly.

To put it another way, the record number of tickets sold at AG (other than concerts) is held by the Bears.

    TV camera's take up space

I was surprised at the West Ham crowd 3,338 . It looked more than that as they didn't have the usual segregation

Any idea what is a total sell out?

I think the Bears have the record attendance at the "new" Ashton Gate 26,399.

Segregation for football means its unlikely we can surpass that, but we had just over 26k for the League cup quarter and semi finals so I would assume that would be the most we could cram in ?

The Atyeo did look quite full and I was surprised it was only 3,338 announced.

For a game that was supposedly a "sell out" a week ago before even hitting general sale i found it odd that so many tickets were popping up on the City website as available in the last few days, literally 100s, there were still tickets available up to 10 minutes before KO

Some who couldn't attend sold their tickets back to the club.

S18 is the Heineken Lounge seating so if that wasn't sold out, that would come up late as well.

Attendance was 25,616 so not a total sell out.

Didn’t think Zak or Max were particularly comfortable this evening.

Impressed with Tanner who stuck to his task well and thought TGH was superb.

Both Vyner and Max were a bit dodgy tonight and agree that Tanner was excellent.

MoM for me was Williams, closely followed by Tanner.

Just had a quick scan of their forum, jeez they're a salty bunch - apparently our boys are thugs especially Williams (Max got a few mentions for being dodgy), but its like we're not supposed to touch them. They were a soft bunch of prima donnas and didn't like it up 'em.

We simply fancied it more than them and I was quite surprised at just how ordinary they were, like another Championship team.

Great atmosphere, the fans were up for it as well, completely outsung the West Ham lot who seem to have a very limited repetoire cosisting of come on you irons and that dreadful bubbles dirge.

    Great night.

The reasons for negativity are obvious - posters are explaining why.  It’s not pathetic, it’s their view.

Surely it would be better if you highlighted what you think the positives are, than put down people’s opinions?

But its his view as well.

As you and others have said more than once, its a forum for views and opinions.

Not everyone is able to articulate their views as well as some others (not that I'm saying the person in question is unable to do that).

Can't stop with the patronising tone can you? Arrogant tosspot.

I even gave you a suggestion of a player to step in after Twine returns to Burnley (if, as looks likely) he does in the summer.

But continue to talk down to anyone who points out that you go out of your way to be negative with regards to Manning.

The ignore button is there for a reason.

Wish him all the best in the future. The players we’ve had come and go over the last 5/6 years I’ve questioned their loyalty to our club. But not Weimann, he wore our shirt with pride and always gave 100%.
End of a era good luck AW

    With bells on.

Leicester, Southampton, Middlesborough, Sunderland, Leeds, Coventry all better imo. At least another 5 that are on a par with ours. Certainly anything but miles ahead of most in the league.

I've not been to Leicesters ground, but the others, in terms of facilites, are nowhere near as good as Ashton Gate imo. Leeds facilities are disgraceful, like going back to the 70s and the ground is falling apart.

Boro located in an an industrial area, nothing there, Coventry in the middle of nowhere, nothing there.

    Anyway, wrong thread for this...........

    Mind The Gap!!

That last bullet point sums them up.

It should be saying "....as club look to move into League One", but no, its all to do about closing the gap on us (which they have no chance of doing).

The thing you have to remember is that players like Zak who show some loyalty miss out on the big lump sum paydays that the player that move get, especially when they run their contract down. Take s figure like £250/300k possibly more and spread that across his contract and it look less out of kilter with the others we have signed.

Its still not far short of £1m per year.
