  1. On the other hand, when naming the training ground, any name other than the" High Performance Centre" would be acceptable..
  2. Peterborough v Reading (if its not postponed) Reading will get dumped in the bottom three if they lose. Its not that Peterborough have gone on a good run themselves, just that Reading (with a decent squad) can't buy a win. They've gone on a dreadful run - last 10 games, 2 draws and 8 defeats, 7 losses on the spin, 28 conceded in that run.
  3. I don't think there are any limits per se, but "fair market value" comes into play. I suppose that means "is it commensurate with others of similar standing." If so, then the most sponsorship expected within FFP would be around 2m, but I don't think its been tested.
  4. If Bristol Sport sponsor the stadium, there would virtually be no limit to the amount of sponsorship. But what would be the point ? They'd get nothing out of it commercially, although maybe a one year sponsorship to get the club out of FFP issues is feasible ?
  5. I'm not sure naming rights would make a great deal of difference. I suppose it depends on the sponsor but a club in the championship would probably be somewhere between 200k and 1m I would think. Maybe 100k for the HPC. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/premier-league-stadium-naming-rights-values/
  6. Spot on imo. Baker is a huge loss, as is a career right back in Tanner. Losing Atkinson as well was a blow and necessitated bringing in Klose who, whilst being a very good quality defender, has made no difference to the goals conceded, thanks to individual errors. Midfield is light without James, King, and Williams who should be a shoe in if all were fit. Our attacking play is very good and very entertaining now that Semenyo is starting to achieve his potential and they are working their socks off to pressure the opposition, so no problems there as long as all stay fit. It aint rocket science to figure out why we have fallen apart defensively, there are individuals who are switching off at key moments and they are doing it game by game.
  7. 1. Leicester 2. Nottingham 3. Glasgow Based on number of restaurants per square mile. https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2006/feb/28/britishidentity.foodanddrink Someone mentioned the Vines in West Brom - well worth a visit, literally just off the motorway, free street parking (last time I visited), and a few minutes walk to the ground. Unique place.
  8. If Burnley are relegated I'd be surprised if Brownhill doesn't get another team in the Premier League.
  9. Brislington ? I remember also being impressed with Kelly very early on, but the player I knew would go on to much better things after about 20 minutes of watching his debut was Caulker. Didn't work out as well as expected with him though. Fair play to Abraham, tough to play in that league but he's smashing it and his personality seems to be shining through as well.
  10. More to do with what was said to the Swansea players I would think.
  11. Swansea can piss around with the ball all game if they want. Great finish by Weimann.
  12. Same team that started the Reading game isn't it ? Who would you bring in/drop ?
  13. Idehen played really well in the last U23s game (broadcast on RobinsTV). I suppose he's got his chance from that performance and how he's done in training.

  17. Hah ! I'm on that photo - 3rd left front row. Been searching for that picture for years. Thanks.
  18. I'll be watching from Amsterdam flying out around 12.50 Sunday. Should be home for dinner around 15.00.
  19. Idehen looked a cut above in the last u23 game so wouldn't surprise me.
  20. Finished it for you - never end a sentence on a preposition. Thats what Mr. Knee told me about 50 years ago anyway.
  21. Well, you either suck up to the local press or you don't give a shit about them. I think NP has made his mind up. I'll happily listen to him than read bollocks.
