    I know it's a sample of 1 but I've never seen any.

I also hear about it being on the rise but also people doing it on pub tables back in the 80s.

These things don't add up to the conclusions some are coming to from what I can see but maybe I'm just sheltered.

Go and take a piss at any time other than before the game or half-time. Plenty of kids in fake stone island gear, 2 sometimes 3 up in a cubicle passing around the keys to their parents houses.

Really enjoyed last night and great to see lots of familiar faces down there cheering the young 'uns on.

Rose stood out for me (I'd expect Riley "Doors" Towler and Tommy Conway to look too good for this level) but the kids down the front of the Lansdown (Ashton Boys outing?) were simply embarrassing with their pathetic wannabee hooligan behaviour. Utterly ridiculous.

Lots to look forward to if we can get a few of these players breaking into the seniors in the next couple of seasons. COYR.

I thought it was great atmosphere and we really enjoyed it but I agree, those kids were as you said, embarrassing.

What a bellend that forest fan was - pussy

Cowardly. Much bigger guy as well. Something like this has been coming, with fans running on the pitch lately.

Well I'm really sorry he's been released. A very talented international player.

I seem to recall the Leeds speculation which led to an improved contract at the time.

He's played in different positions and is pretty settled here.

Unless we are looking to retain him on post covid reduced terms That might come back to bite us.

And just as he’s about to take a bite, he’ll turn and dribble back towards his own goal.

I know what you mean. So many unknowns and potential twists and turns

Will we sell one or more of our four realistic sellable assets (Weimann, HNM, Semenyeo, Scott).

Will Cundy and Klose sign with us again?

Who from the OOC group of Summer 2023 will we work out a new contract with? Bentley and JD probably being key here. We can't let any player with value leave for free next summer.

What players will we be able to get off the wage bill? Who will we be able to get rid of permanently, and not on loan.

And finally of course, new players coming in to take what is the nucleus of a potentially promising squad to the next level.

So many aspects to the summer isn't there? A massive one for the club to get right, if we are to progress.

    Yes, exactly this!

I think this kind of thing feeds into Nige’s “front sweeper” thinking.  Just for example, Joe Williams sat in, able to take the ball from GK and CBs and then spreading it side to a high FB (WB).  It’s a bit like Grimes did for Swansea second half when he kept pinging it out to a wide and high Ethan Laird (who’d been pinned back by Pring first half). Digressing slightly, might Williams’s hamstrings be better not having to make lung-busting runs?

The thing Sykes has is energy by the looks of it.

I don’t think I’ve been as interested in signings and pre-season games as I am for this summer.

We need an out and out right back, so we can play a flat back 4, not another right side midfielder who can double up as a wing back.

This was NPs back 4 when pressing and counter attacking at Watford. I’m not saying this is how we will line up and obviously personnel is very different but a back 4 doesn’t have to be flat and or static.

I’m not really bothered about home programmes, haven’t bought one for years, but I always get one for away games as a momento.

Maybe the visiting supporters would like a programme as a momento.
Apart from Cardiff fans, they prefer taps and toilet seats.

They’re former professional footballers and TV companies seem to think that qualifies them to talk about how to build a newly promoted club to capable of surviving in the PL.

Fulham basically created a brand new squad of ‘better’ players and that got them relegated so I seriously doubt that they’ll make that mistake again.

The only pundit that I have anytime for is Don Goodman. I like to see him on Soccer Saturday instead of the muppet Sherwood

The same Don Goodman who just said we underachieved this season without any research into our budget and situation?

Got to be more to this than reported.

I can believe it happened - but for seven months of separate change rooms for players of different skin colours - no way does this happen in 2022 without this being flagged at the first occasion.

If so, there will be more heads than Yems to roll, that's for sure.

Segregated changing rooms - for the love of god, this is Crawley, not Alabama.

    Disgraceful.

I’m actually struggling to get my head around it. How the hell does this happen and go on for so long?!

Yems should face a lot more than merely losing his job.

So is it loan players or what? As someone posted earlier Palmer was on loan a few seasons ago wasn't he? I'm confused...?

First season without using any loans since at least 1996

  12. Both brilliant today! Sometimes partnerships take a while and neither have been at 100%, firing on all cylinders. Hopefully after some rest, they both come through a tough pre-season unscathed and start next season fit and sharp.

Heard Ian Wright a while ago say that he always aimed for the keeper. Seemed a bit strange but when you think about it how many shots remain true and accurate, so most will naturally go either side.

Was always taught to aim for keepers ankles for tight, close range first time shots. Amazing how many times it either goes through the legs, in off or rebounds back into the 6yd box for a tap in.
