  1. Personally I'd be gobsmacked if it was Ralph Hasenhüttl or anyone of that ilk for that matter. I highly highly doubt he would come to Bristol city or if we could even come close to his wage demands/expectations.
  2. Not sure unless a compensation agreement was thrashed out and contracts due to be signed today I can't see it being somone in a job currently. Which is a shame as I'd of liked to see manning, Schumacher or Ryan lowe type of appointment.
  3. I have heard today the players will find out who the new head coach is tomorrow, weather an announcement will follow in the media or not I'm unsure but it certainly looks like its extremely close
  4. Pretty sure he has quit football management and become a racing car driver! Which is crazy given he was the next best thing as Jose's understudy at Porto not so long ago
  5. I agree with this totally! This lads coached for 13 years before taking up management he has a wealth of coaching experience also on the continent in Belgium and clearly brings an attacking brand of football which he has proven he can implement as a head coach at both mks and Oxford! People say about lampard yes he was a great player but what makes him stand out as a innovative coach ? A motivator? A tactician? A technical teacher of the game ? This appointment makes absolute sence to me given the way we want to Try and play football to get us promoted!
  6. I'd be happy with manning not sure why he is deemed a bad appointment? He's on the up in his career brings a clear brand of football and seems a real hands on coach there is alot to like about him.
  7. Robins has had more money then nigel and has performed worst that would be a very backwards appointment.
  8. I am referring to on the pitch with a microphone speaking to the fans.
  9. I remeber a time steve used to do this in the final games of the season ! How times have changed Jon doing this would be a mumbling mess!
  10. I think manning would be a very good appointment, young progressive coach with a reputation for playing good football he has earned his stripes the game has evolved and moved on most clubs now are hiring coaches in the manning mould I'd be pleased if this comes off I'd much rather manning then lampard or Gary rawatt that's for sure
  11. This is an outrageous thing to say, you hope the lads down tools? Surely any fan of this club should always want what's best for the club and want the team to win there games.
  12. 19 pages ffs just hurry up and appoint someone Jon Jesus christ
  13. I know alot of PHD holders who are also as stupid as two short planks.
  14. Bigger fan base, much better infrastructure like the training ground better stadium better salary more scope in the transfer market better academy there's lots of reasons. We are more established then Plymouth as a championship club.
  15. Personally I'd go and approach Plymouth for steve Schumacher he is perfect for that we need and fits in to what the club had described! Pay the compensation fee and get it done ! Then hopefully he brings morgan whittaker and bali mumba with him!!
  16. I'd prefer manning over luke Williams
  17. Fronting the football operations*
  18. I'm starting to think there actually going to go for someone like luke Williams wow as far as I am concerned that will reaffirm to me all they want is a coach active on the training pitch to answer to Brian tinion. It is also looking like they have sacked pearson and absolutely no plan in place. In all my years supporting this club I have never know it to be so amateur it's absolutely bewildering! I just can't fathom a world in which Brian tinon and luke Williams are funding the football operations two people that have past through this club in that sence and failed the lansdowns really are a rotten bunch.
  19. It definitely looks as though tinion has been given a role to effectively grass on the manager and there coaches and report back to the board with his stupid options! He has been given alot of power over the footballing side of things, and although the lansdowns pulled the trigger tinion DEFINITELY loaded the gun! Good player yes but what an earth qualifies tinion for this role? He is effectively the director of football just under another title! Must have been doing some serious brown nosing to effectively become nigel pearsons boss. Also i can't believe job has said this is the first time they will be looking to recruit a manager into a certain philosophy surely this the first prerequisite when holding interviews it's taken them 20 years to work that out it's so amateur down there it's beyond belief.
  20. Anyone know what time sound of the city is on ?
  21. I'm glad it now seems that supports of this club is realising what the lansdowns are all about. They can't stand being challenged our being held accountable hence we now have there buddy yes man tinnion effectively running the footballing side
  22. I think its clear the lansdowns don't like to be challenged, healthy debate is a good thing its very foolish in any organisation to think you know all the answers. That's why various people are employed in very specific roles, I feel like there are to many egos and agendas at board room level we don't have any proper experienced football people at the club anymore and no doubt the next management team will be one that toes the line and does as there told or face the consequences. Its a shambles and it will not get better until Steve lansdown finds a buyer who can add a degree of humility order and logic to proceedings with out a self loathing ego clouding his judgement.
  23. I cant beileve we are here this is a crazy situation I couldn't care less who comes in! It won't make a difference what so ever
