  1. No one has said Max has done anything wrong? It's the FIA. Your views towards Mercedes and Hamilton are a little weird to be honest.
  2. I can understand not wanting Lewis to win because he's won 7 in a row and it can get stale, or perhaps because of his extra-curricular activities, but I don't think you can say he blames others? Did you watch the interviews with Button after the race? And see him on the podium? And did you see Max last week on the podium?
  3. Which I think Masi should be able to do for safety reasons or concerns but not in order to try and create a race.
  4. I'm not sure I'd want the decision to be changed from now. I'd prefer it if they learnt from the experience and tightened up the rules. I also think there should be 2-3 assistant race directors who take the DPs calls from the main race director and shield them from potential influence like what we saw with Horner and Woolf.
  5. I thought he sounded like he didn't have any control. Christian Horner politely I thought asked what was going on with the cars in between and Masi was all "Christian if you let me finish"...
  6. As per my previous post, they either let all the lapped cars through or they let none of them through. It would depend how quickly they could get all the other cars passed the safety car whether they could have the last lap as a racing lap but if the couldn't so be it, at least the rules were followed. Michael Masi has gone from conforming to the rules by saying no cars can overtake the safety car, to then 'inventing' a rule to allow the 5 cars between them to go passed (but no more?) in order to have a racing last lap. They should have only done that if it was equal i.e. they were on tyres of a similar age, otherwise you automatically hand Red Bull a huge advantage.
  7. But thats not the rules, thats what people are finding it difficult to accept. The rule is either no cars are unlapped, or all cars are unlapped. Then the stewards/director can decide if they let them catch up to the back or not. Not to remove the cars in between because that gives Red Bull the advantage. If Hamilton AND Max were on fresh tyres, then it is a fair decision.
  8. Not really got much to do with this though. The issue is the FIA should have either let ALL lapped cars through or none. Not the 5 in-between Hamilton and Verstappen so they could have a race on the last lap. Just doesn't sit right with me and a shame the season had to finish under such controversial circumstances. There's lot of people (including a few in this thread) saying it was the first race they've watched in X number of years and won't again because of the ending. That's what this race will be remembered for. As a side note, I was impressed at how magnanimous Hamilton was after the race. Obviously disappointed, but still did interviews, congratulated Max and stayed on the podium sprayed him with champagne and congratulated Max and Horner. Where was Max on the podium at Jeddah? He ran off out the back immediately the national anthems were gone. Seems strange that the 'Hamilton haters' won't bring this up...
  9. Yeah, but they got some foundations up within a few weeks...
  10. I don’t mind which of them wins as long as there’s a lot of good wheel to wheel racing and it’s won by the better driver on the day rather than by a stewards penalty.
  11. Perez won't. Red Bull realistically need a 1st and 2nd in order to win the Constructors Championship. If Perez takes out Hamilton, Red Bull can only get 26 points and they are 28 points behind.
  12. I always liked the New Zealand cricketer Colin de Grandhomme, or Colin the Big Man
  13. So we've wasted ALL that money i.e. never bought a good player and we are a mid-table championship club. Not doing too bad then!
  14. How does it work if he's resigned and then gets hired by Preston? Are Plymouth not entitled to compensation?
  15. LB doesn't have to be THE man to replace Martin, but he can be A man to give Martin a rest at the end of games. No-one has said LB should come straight in and lead the line for the next 10 years, but think he's worth a go to try out. If he can hold the ball up once in the last 20 minutes of a game to prevent 1 attack, that will be an improvement on leaving Martin up top alone trying his hardest, but he is 32, not got the stamina of someone like Weimann and is not closing down as we need. If he comes on for 3 games and is rubbish, we'll know, won't extend his contract and he'll leave. If he comes on, helps us see out games, maybe gets a goal or 2, we know we might have a player. I wouldn't mind he we brought on Bell or Conway (when fit) to do the same, but we don't, we leave Martin on. To be fair, normally we've had to make two injury substitutions which kind of prevent NP from doing so.
  16. In that case, the professional coaching staff can't see Martin is clearly struggling to compete and run after about 65 minutes and is a big reason why we spend the last 20 minutes of each game camped in our own half or box with no outlet. Just a thought.
  17. That's good though, I don't want this close season defined by a stewards decision that makes the last race a damp squib. We know now next weekend is just an almighty show down between these two and I think today was Max letting the pressure get to him a little.

Granted it's Wikipedia, but that adds up to 147.

It doesn't matter if YOU'RE not including loans. MY point was Vyner has made over a hundred senior appearances. He has made 147. That is over a hundred.

I don't think you're smoking something because you disagree with me, I think you're smoking something because you think there are countless examples of passes of the highest order from Weimann. I'm not knocking Weimann as a PLAYER. It's his passing ability and composure which is being shown up by and 18 year old. I've even said in my post that "Weimann has plenty of positive points which merits his place in the team" but my original post was that I wish some of our other players had the sort of composure on the ball that Scott is showing at such a young age. You need to read the whole post rather than cherry picking a few words out.
  21. Senna & Prost was the first thing I though of.

Countless examples of passes of the highest order from Weimann? I'll have what you are smoking. If you think he's composed on the ball you are clearly incorrect. My point wasn't to knock Weimann as a player, it was to show the excellent composure of an 18 year old player with half dozen senior games under his belt compared to a number of other first teamers with well over a hundred senior appearances in Vyners case, and over 200 of Weimann. Weimann has plenty of positive points which merits his place in the team, but his composure on the ball is not one of them. He'll do great things (Cardiff volley, that pass for Wells you mentioned), but there's plenty more examples of him skying the ball (v Derby, although was a tough chance) or awful passes which unfortunately outnumber the examples of passes of the highest order you've made up. But he's not in the team for his passing ability.

I wish our other players had the same composure on the ball. While Veneer constantly kicks it as far as he can to the opposition goalie or our out play and Weimann can't make a 5 yard pass, Scott, takes the ball down, looks up and passes along the ground to. someones feet. For an 18 year old in his 5th or 6th game, he also loves a challenge and getting stuck in which is great to see.
