  1. As much as Mark Ashton impressed you ?, I seem to remember you were so taken with him you called him Mr C harisma .,..........no such nickname for Nige though? ?
  2. Danny Cowley Paul Ince Scott Parker (just for those cardigans) Alan Curbishly Paul Tisdale Steve Evans John Terry Frank Lampard Anybody who ever played for or managed the Gas (TC the honourable exception)
  3. Atrocious by the ref, clear foul and yellow on Bell and he waves play on.
  4. We've heard all this so many times, Severnside - Stoke Gifford -Rebuilt Mem with student flats - UWE - the only time they get a ground is by stealing it...tried and failed to steal AG....succeeded in stealing The Mem. The regeneration of the Fruit Market site will eventually proceed without them IMO.
  5. Attention seeker seeks attention.....and everybody on OTIB rushes to give it to him.
  6. Potter now gone from Chelsea,. Crazy day.
  7. I The defeat to Palace yesterday - despite going ahead in the game - was the trigger, if they had won they would be 13th, now with WHU winning they're 19th in the live table. I always thought Rodgers was a bit of a prat after watching that fly on the wall documentary during his time at Liverpool - as bad as LJ with the David Brent speak.
  8. Nice map but Ricardo isn't familiar with London....he's got Chelsea and Millwall mixed up, Millwall are shown in West London! and Chelsea are indicated to be in the Isle of Dogs (north of the river) where the actual Millwall docks are, rather than Bermondsey. (which is wrong anyway)
  9. "Raison D'Etra ? Triffic little player, sweet left foot and loves a tackle.......will we sign him?....up to the Chairman but there's a deal to be done"
  10. From the OS "Ticket collections and duplicates will be available from the Ticket pod adjacent to the away turnstiles at the North Stand once the CATS coaches have arrived."
  11. Quite agree, if everyone is fit he doesn't start based on what I've seen so far.
  12. From the OS "Payments can be taken over the phone, and tickets will be available for collection from a Steward outside the away Turnstiles in Oak Road."
  13. Jon Lansdown has updated the guidelines in answer to the smartphone issue. " Any supporter without a smartphone can simply WhatsApp me a DM with a screenshot of their old ST and I'll message them an encrypted link that they can upload detailing the process." Simples
  14. Nothing to do with the number, Scott wears 7 but he doesn't play outside right. It's about modern shorthand terms for player roles. You clearly don't understand so no point in continuing.
  15. These days it's commonly accepted that the number 10 role refers to a player who operates in the space between the midfield and strikers.......the number 8 role is a box to box midfielder....
  16. Yes, but I suppose they all want to be the one to ask and get the scoop answer , maybe they could rotate who goes first.....it seems BBC get first go every week. It's the same with politicians, they always go to Beth Rigby(Sky) Peston (ITV) , Kuenssberg (BBC) and Harry Cole (The Sun) first before anyone else gets a look in
  17. In fairness the Radio Bristol guy (Hadwin, Hoskin, ??) always goes first and covers all the obvious questions ..... who's available, injuries, tactics, opposition strengths and playing style Alex Scott etc etc etc .....so by the time the next two get a go they're struggling to find something relevant to ask that Nige hasn't already answered.
  18. Taken from the Away fans review section of the Football Ground Guide website What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the stadium? I have to say that Bristol Rovers have some cheek charging £25 to be under canvas and with portaloos as toilets. Disgraceful really. Horrible little ground made up of tents and a cricket pavillion with a small seated stand on one side. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the stadium? How has this place passed health and safety, honestly, its just a clutter of dangerous looking "stands" and tents, proper rusty and I imagine full of asbestos as well, and they have like 11 stands, what's up with that, I get character and all that but honestly what an absolute dump this place is, I have been before but about 4 years prior and I thought the away end was one of the worst in the country can't lie but now I see home fans have it just as bad. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the Memorial Stadium? I have to be honest and say the ground is barely Football League standard and light years away from Ashton Gate. The away facilities are terrible. What's with all the tents? ???
  19. I'm reminded of when I worked at British Aerospace in Filton back in the day when Liverpool were the dominant team in Europe - Dalgliesh era before they were banned after Heysel - and after a win all the plastic Scousers would come in fist pumping ...we did this we did that etc.. taking the piss out of City and Rovers fans about their "shit team". I'd ask them how often they were able to get up to Anfield and not one had ever seen them live anywhere. They've probably been Man City fans these last few years.
  20. I must look out for that one for my sister in law!
  21. Didn't Nige say this would be his last job in an interview a while ago?
