@Robbored Why don’t you just reveal the “truth” now then and put it to bed as such? Come on alot of water has passed under the bridge, did you shit yourself and lie to Gary’s face when asked if it was your good self whom had been stirring?

Spoke very well, humble, no BS or stupid jargon (as you would expect from SC) with an acknowledgement of the very tough task in front of him but with a confidence in his experience and knowledge that he can bring something to the situation. Is there enough time to turn it around? Who knows but I wish him all the very best - especially as FGR are my nearest FL club!

Do you think he even remembers your name?

I'm imagining in Robbored's garage or shed there's a wall with pictures of GJ plastered all over - and on every picture GJ's eyes are gouged out !!!

Only GJ and I know what went down that day.

Everything else is made up bollocks.

Given that it was over 15 years ago and you STILL bring your anti GJ rhetoric into virtually every thread wherever possible It's a fair assumption that you shat yourself............big time 😂 😂 😂

To be fair, GJ only privately called Robbored out (and, for the newer posters among us, Robbored denied being Robbored).

To be fair if I was Robbored I wouldn't admit to being him either 😁 😁😁

It probably hasn’t occurred to you CR but a wife going public could be a double bluff - it’s not that difficult to understand…………:cool2:

    Why? What for?

You come out with some weapons grade bollux at times......well most of the time actually.

King re-signed under Nige as player/coach. Unfortunately he’s been injured but I imagine he’s been involved at Failand.

Iirc Manning mentioned how important it is to have senior players like King around the group so he maybe wants to King as a coach.

As a lifelong City fan I’m sure he’d love to stay at the club.

So how does that fit with his wife saying they'll be sad to leave Bristol ? Obviously LM/BT/JL - take your pick - has indicated he won't be offered anything after this season. It's not that difficult to understand.

  8. Mike Flynn is the rumour for their - 4th? I've lost count - next manager according to the Stroud newspaper.

As Deeney said following his sacking " The next bloke had better get it right in three weeks!"

Another rewriting of history by @Robbored.

Considering the thread is about FGR (a club Gary Johnson has never played for or managed) ,  Robbored has done quite well and  took only until the 3rd page before he was able to work his obligatory anti Gary Johnson rhetoric into the thread, slagging him in not one but four posts in the thread!!

The fire 🔥 still burns deep within 🔥 !

Not often a Bristol City match thread on a Watford forum will read like that.

Glad to hear they think Manning is doing better than Pwarson though in Pwarson's defense he doesn't exist. Twone also unlikely to be involved.

Unusual match thrwad,  IMO Twone likwly to start on thw bwnch,

Not at all Graham - I post my point of view, this a forum after all.

To clarify - I only believe that any deal is completed when it’s announced on the OS. It’s the only 100% believable source.

I really don’t understand why some have a problem with that.     :dunno:

I used to and still do see BT around Nailsea and knew that he worked for a brief period in a local club but had no idea that there was an 8 year gap between him getting sacked before rejoining the club - not that it matters.

The OS is quite a good source of info regarding Bristol City - give it a try

Manning places a lot of trust in what BT thinks about various younger players and quite right to. BT has been involved with the academy pretty much since he hung his boots up....

You do know that after he was sacked in 2005 he had no involvement with the club for 8 years before returning in 2013?

    🤣

    Was it all ticket?

No tickets back then, terraces and pay on the night. I decided to go on the morning of the game and left work at lunchtime, picked up my partner and drove up. There were already huge queues at the turnstiles at 5.30. We just went in the part of the ground that had the smaller queues but it still took over an hour to get in.  City completely filled the large open terrace behind the goal, the other end was divided in two with a fence down the middle and City filled one side, we were in a side stand with a terrace in front and this was roughly 50/50 City/Cov - the only part of the ground with no City fans was their smallish main stand opposite presumably because that's where their ST holders sat.

Easily 15,000 City, more like half of the 36k official attendance.

So the average wage between the PL and the Championship is roughly 23% (maths isn’t a strength of mine) so a 23% reduction in salary on relegation as mandatory in PL contracts.

Maybe that’s a simplistic way of looking at it.
