This season has been such a waste of an excellent defence. Even with an average attack we would be much higher in the league

The last two and a half hours of results have probably saved us from a relegation battle tbf, can't see Huddersfield making up 9 points and loads of GD on us

Can we make it 11th time lucky and win our first game under Manning vs teams starting the day in the bottom 10? Stay tuned in to find out!
The only one likely to dominate possession though therefore an obvious win for us.
Doesn't change anything that we are clueless with the ball against low block teams

Are we Birmingham under Rooney levels of bad? Certainly sounds like it hanging on for a nil nil at home

A lot of the managers leaving were actually getting the most out of their squad. Pearson, Mowbray, Jon Dahl, Eustace Brum, all spring to mind.
There is no bounce as there is no improvement to have.
Plus the new breed of coaches as mentioned maybe it takes too much time to communicate their ideas whereas the old man manager would come in and immediately get success from a more bonded team

I think the oil rig shifts up there last longer
Just a lad on his last legs having a few holidays around the country

Why on earth would we have spent that kind of money to finish 13th instead of 17th? Absolutely nonsensical for us and no chance he joins a midtable team over promotion chasers in any case

Would absolutely love to see Ipswich shit out this year
They won't get automatics and won't be favourites in the play offs over Southampton, Happy days

It comes to something when it's pleasing to see Caerdydd win

I don't really know why Paterson has so much hate on here
He plays in a position where it doesn't always come off but scored some beauties for us, won us a load of points and his goals to games ratio was more than decent
In fact we have missed a player like him all season

I'd love Stoke and Blackburn to go down alongside Rotherham
Two clubs that are seen as much bigger than they actually are

If I was a player I wouldn't join this amateur shitshow

As I said at the time to much derision on here, this is such a weird transfer.
I will wait to see how it pans out

HEY BRIAN, just a reminder that you sacked a manager a week after we were 7th in an injury crisis

Quite a few of the players have donated, including Weimann
Nice touch

This is one of the reasons why I am not Manning out.
The ideal answer is Pearson or other strong type of manager as a counterbalance to the weakness above in the structure. But that is not going to happen.
I don't see any type of young coach that they seem to want being any better than Manning.
First things first, TINNION OUT

It's unbelievable that in a mini league of teams from 5th to 16th I bet we would be top. In the same league of 17th to 24th we would be rock bottom. Just another mad thing this season

Sacked by MK Dons in League 1
Wasn’t at Oxford anywhere near long enough to make a real judgement call
lost 10 in his first 21 here
They are basing their assumptions on what exactly?
He has come here with a very similar pedigree to Lee Johnson and look how that turned out .
Lee Johnson: Great job at Oldham turning perennial relegation battlers into a solid upper midtable side. Got a move to Barnsley, poor run followed by a brilliant run, left them in a good position and they got promoted.
Liam Manning: Play offs with MK Done followed by a sacking in the relegation zone and they indeed went down. Appointed Oxford manager, saved them from relegation and had them challenging after a low number of games, now fading after he left.
Whose CV was better at the time of joining us? Probably Johnson as he had more consistent improvement in his sides

An oasis of delusion again from these gentlemen. Of course we were going to play ok, as we have done all season against these types of teams

I really don’t get why Tinnion gets all this bad press. What’s he said or done to deserve all the grief he’s getting?
Can anyone explain why he’s the number one fall guy?
First major decision in a new role he is unqualified for was to sack Nige and appoint Manning.
Absolute gross negligence and incompetence of the highest order.
Picture of him overseeing training on Mannings first day scared the living shit out of me.
Too weird all around and he must go

My default position and the one I’ll always fall back on is I support Bristol City. Not Liam Manning, not Brian Tinnion - Bristol City. Now that does mean that the clubs success happens to people I don’t care for, but I’d rather see the club do well than not.
So for all I think Liam and Brian and Jon need to go for the good of the club, I’d much rather we won the remaining 11 than anything else.
That being said, I totally get the logic. And if you work on the basis we’re going to be patchy at best until seasons end, it’s better to get the defeats done now and what looks the inevitable to happen.
So, I’d much rather we won. But I wouldn’t in some ways be heartbroken if what you say did happen and it was the catalyst for change.
Depends if you go for the short term or long term view.
Do I want us to win tonight? Yes of course
Does something dramatic need to happen to get rid of Tinnion first of all, and old man Lansdown to come to his senses re correct help for his son? Yes it does
Sadly I think a few heavy defeats towards the end of the season causing more obvious angst amongst the fanbase to Tinnion and the Lansdowns is more in the long term interests of our success than bumbling our way to 56 points (as long as we survive in the league)

The Lansdowns are incredibly lucky they preside over a somewhat passive certainly insecure and unsure fanbase (build up over years of underachievement)
No other fanbase as big as ours would be so accepting in the face of such nonsense from the owners

Please could you direct the conversation more towards the stewardship of the Club rather than the merits of the current Manager. How do Season Ticket holders or genuine fans influence better decision making on appointing future Managers / Head Coach/ DOF. Is there a role for the supporters trust in future appointments? Only BCFC could appoint Dean Holden and Liam Manning with the aim of getting into the Premiership.
And Tecknical Directors and Chairmen even if we cannot influence actual ownership

Get rid of one to the Bahamas or Bermuda or whenever it is with Daddy's money and the other to FGR
Happy days

There's less fake news and revisionism coming out of Russia than Bristol Sport at the moment
My feelings toward SL, JL and Tinnion are bordering on hatred , the absolute incompetence from all three of them
