I didn't think we looked unfit. We didn't look like we had any game plan or ideas, or shape to our play. When their players were struggling with cramp, we still couldn't muster any composed control of the game.

I think most were surprised not to see Conway & Sykes in the starting 11. Especially with AS out injured, surely you want your strongest players filling in elsewhere. I thought he ran willingly & did OK generally - as he usually does (I'm not a hater of his atall) but there is no way that starting Cornick over Sykes is picking your strongest possible 11 - imho. The rest of the team was pretty straightforward selection, granted - but baffling by way of leaving 2 or 3 of your most attacking threats on the bench, against an average team, coming into the season off the back of a crap pre-season, at home, in front of a sell out crowd - it felt like an opportunity missed and so it proved to be.

Would it not have been more respectful to Chris to concentrate on applauding (wasn't the applause done before kick off - the unexpected picture of him on the boars during the game seemed a bit odd, just having done an obvious minutes applause) rather than scouring the stands to see who was & wasn't applauding.? Very odd thing to get worked up about & even more odd to put it down to "snobbery"

Disappointing today. Baffling team selection before the start. Lack of game plan or purpose from the start & failed to stamp our authority on a bang average team that looked fairly unfit & there for the taking. Pre-season optimisms sharply put back into the reality of probably an inconsistent, frustrating season ahead, where we don't get the best out of our players & will be relying on key players to stop up to win us games - rather than taking a strangle hold of the opposition & dictating games. Of course - a massive over reaction based on today's disjointed & uninspiring performance - based on more of the same old, same old - when I was hoping we'd look fresh & exciting. Maybe that will come - but today was pretty drab.

Possibly being naive here here, but I really can't see why there should be any notable problem at the entrances today - proving the tickets scan properly.! I'd only received my digital ticket & not my sons (email was an old on on his account apparently). Matt at supporter services sorted it all out straight away after a 30 min queue to get through. As long as people have addressed any obvious issue in the lead up to today, then there should be no issues in people scanning & moving straight through. Mine has also changed to Birmingham, but with today's date - providing that doesn't cause scanning issues, then it should all be very straightforward... Any bblipin the system & yes, utter chaos will arise - but until that becomes evident - I think people are creating potential problems in their own mind.

I doubt it will be that many. You've made no allowance for limited capacities in safe standing areas & other general allowances that tend to need to be made for football matches, which lower the actual 27,000 seats available before you even start. About 22k is probably more likely, if PNE are only bringing 1k. It's a shame the Atyeo capacity can't be easily split to allow extra home capacity, in cases like this.

That was hilarious- but does it trump not qualifying for the post 1st round league Cup play off - by not being in the football league..?!

Just asking out of interest, for a friend.... What sort of circumstances may disrupt a planning committee meeting & cause it to be delayed by a month or six....?

It certainly is a beauty..... But no... it doesn't & nothing else could ever match up to being relegated to non-league by losing at home to a team wearing your own away kit - that truly was special..! I think this is up there with Santa's Grotto though..!

Actually no... a quick Google search of Wally was all it took for everyone to easily see that he didn't have a fraction of the money being spouted about. I think it took anyone who'd care to look about half an hour to suss out they weren't actually the richest club in existence - whereas some of them still haven't worked it out.!

In fairness, that is possibly the first of their kits that hasn't made me laugh at them. Disregard the quarters monstrosity & it's better than they usually produce. I thought they were rebounding their badge a year or so ago though..? Those will fly off the shelves & you'll see literally 10's of them dotted around the rehab centres of North Bristol.!

I'd even forgotten to mention the planning situation.! In my opinion (& not just this project, but anyone just carrying on with work before being granted the appropriate planning) should automatically have it rejected. It's taking the Mickey to just build what you want & then bother getting the clearance for doing so - when everyone else wants until it's granted to begin work.

Imagine how low one's expectations must be when you can be smug that a new stand will only take 1 week to build & fit out..! Surely it will take longer than a week to decorate, put up required signage & install all the concessions facilities..? Have they even got a dodgy sky box ordered to be able to stream Babestation to the masses yet..? As far as I'm aware, the actual build (which I'm assuming must be some kind of modular, click together type solution) doesn't actually take very long atall - it's all the dressing of the new structure that takes time & then, as many have already said - test events & getting the safety certificates issued... If it only takes a week or 2, then why not have had it done already.?!

I'm amazed that people seem to want Luton to get battered every week. I have never had any affection for Luton whatsoever - but what they have achieved is truly remarkable & I love that international superstar plays are going to have to deal with the lower league "charms" of Kenilworth Road (absolute dump of a ground) I certainly hope that they will knock a few noses out of joint in the Prem & give every other club trying to get there that it is possible to at least try & compete. Of course, everything suggests that they could well break records as the worst entrants to that division, but I will be smiling & chuckling away to myself with every point they manage to take of the other clubs in that division. Good luck Luton..!

It's only a semi permanent structure, so I'd imagine they'd be able to get a team to knock it up in around a week. The planning permission (lack of) seems farcical.! Why wouldn't you get that in place before beginning & removing the very limited seating that they did at least have in situ.? It does all seem very odd indeed.

Good. I'd hope that was our aim. May not be possible, just because it's what we'd like. Top 10 would be reasonable - we we absolutely should be aiming for the play offs.

I'm not sure that failing to achieve a MINIMUM target makes anyone particularly happy.... I'd hope that, another year into the process, we'd be expecting a slightly better increase than 6 points. The rest I agree with. Top 10 & generally better would be sufficient - as a minimum.
