  1. No. I'd agree with that statement - I just wasn't sure what the OP was branding as pathetic,
  2. What is pathetic..? Jose is a gobshite tosser & deserves his ban.
  3. Is it.? I genuinely had no idea.! All I ever see is that people can't use it. It certainly doesn't seem to be encouraged, which is crazy when it should be ideal for the vast majority to use. As someone referred to above - a far cry from Brighton, who didn't want traffic heading towards the stadium, so provided easy, convenient & cheap solutions. Bristol is a fantastic city & great place to live - but in terms of it's council getting things done it is an absolute shambles - you don't need any further case studies that the disgraceful Arena farce, that the city should have had a decade or 2 ago and it absolutely should have been situated right next to Temple meads, so that everyone could access it without need to drive & park. Bristol is so far behind many/most other cities in terms of facilities & relies purely on it's own people, private businesses & natural environment to make it such a sought after place. If it were left purely to the council or shambolic mayoral position, then Bristol would be more aligned with places like grim northern towns, than the thriving, cool place that it is - despite, rather than because of, the ones in charge of it.!
  4. Surely, by nature, the best solution to that would be for there to be a steady flow of busses from the park & ride, dropping off outside the stadium. It utterly ridiculous that there is a park & ride site, a stones throw from Ashton Gate, yet it's such an issue to park near the ground & the park & ride option isn't open to use..! If people can't safely walk between the 2, then fair enough - but why not be able to park & ride, from the park & ride.?!
  5. I can honestly say that I've never once looked down upon the Ashton Gate turf & thought "I wish I could go & have a picnic on that".!
  6. It will be a training camp, not a tour.
  7. You're probably doing it all wrong mate. Try pushing a pram & having a couple more young kids in tow & then you'll far more appealing to them for a good old grope.!
  8. That still makes no sense.! The thread is literally called "managers you are glad we haven't had here"..!
  9. They will do. Just every other week, at away games..! Why spend your own money to play at decent stadiums when other clubs will spend there's & that's where they will play half their games anyway.?! Gas ambition/logic
  10. I can only assume that you have accidentally put the wrong persons name in your post, whilst thinking of some other manager...... Either that, or you are talking baffling nonsense..! Tony Mowbray has had a great career, gets his teams playing fantastic football & he has always been top of my wishlist (although usually out of our reach) whenever we have been in a recruitment search. NP was always high on that list aswell & I was amazed when we appointed him. Was very much regretting that wish until Christmas..! But we've seen some genuine improvement since then.
  11. What has this got to do with the whole point of this thread..?!
  12. That must mean that you often look at the possession stats..! You aren't being innovative here in saying Possession stats don't relate to the final scores - but it's nonsense to say that the stats are meaningless.! They tell you about that area of the general play. You are the one saying that the stats are meaningless, then also the one whose checking the stats against results to tell everyone that they are meaningless..! Counter attacking teams are always likely to conceded possession stats & can be very successful in doing so. Only the very top teams consistently dominate possession.
  13. Not if you want to know which team had most possession.!
  14. Dunk played for us aswell, just..! So you could share your misplaced loyalty to cover him aswell. It is a surprise that Webster hasn't even made it into a squad as yet.
  15. Of course it's better with that - but it's absolutely a case of looking at losing less money, rather than having made any. Hardly grounds for hopeful thinking that season tickets will be less or not increased as a result - as the initial post I replied to was suggesting.
  16. All that doesn't even cover 1 years operating losses - let alone make us money..! I can't believe that people still can't grasp that we lose tens of millions of pounds a year..!
  17. Ah, so the slight reduction in our massive annual losses then.....!
  18. What money do you think we've made recently...?!
  19. I guess themain purpose is /was to stop a club strengthening to win silverware in the later stages. Somewhat redundant now, with the transfer window limitations - But everyone knows the rules & I don't see any reason or need to change them. I suppose the "unfair" aspect nowadays is that fringe players will often game time in earlier round cup games & then be moved on. Perhaps an alteration could be that a player is intelligible for just the next round after they move, having played in the previous round for another club..?
  20. I bet that was the last think JB wanted on his first few days settling into the job - the local sports correspondent asking him complicated questions like that..! How long did he have to think about it before could answer..?
  21. The only thing worse than a 74 year old wearing a tracksuit is someone thinking that it's their place to tell them that they shouldn't be..! Imagine feeling the need to start a thread on a forum about what some OAP decides to wear to work..! I can't stand Neil Warnock - but I fully respect his right to wear whatever he chooses without someone feeling the need to tell him that he shouldn't.
  22. What a turnaround since the start of the year! Total contrast to pre-christmas & everyone involved deserves huge credit. NP deserved the criticism back then for bad selections and we looked doomed to a real dogfight. Now with better selections and team that are so refreshing to watch, with strength on the bench - we look like proper team again & it's great to see!
  23. Because idiots keep sitting in seats that they haven't got tickets for.
  24. I think I was about 14 when I was mascot, away at Watford. Still have my signed photo with Andy Cole & pre match photo. Loved it! Even though it was a drab 0-0 draw..!
