  1. Scott, Conway, Semenyo..? Obviously not. I assume you mean Bell - & I'd agree. I was delighted to see Joe Low get involved today - he's highly rated & certainly sounds like our potential next big thing. But beyond Bell & Low, which youngsters are being relied upon 2 years ahead of time..? It was a shame that Benarous got injured - I thought he was showing more promise that Alex Scott last season - although Scott has truly blossomed this season.
  2. I really hope people point back at us at the end of the season & can say "see you were both bed wetters & should have had more faith in NP" I really, really do! Do I think we will have to hold our hands up & say "yes, sorry, we panicked way too early - looks a bit stupid now"...? - not at the moment, no.
  3. I respect your points & opinions - but I'm not sure how believing that we are better than our form & league position are, are being negative. I'm really not a negative type atall - quite the opposite actually - although I do see that's probably hard to see when I'm talking about NP - and that's because, despite being delighted by his appointment - it's been a huge disappointment to see the lack of progress on the pitch. Even taking into account the cost cutting & lack of funds to spend (which I do fully appreciate, despite what some seem to think) based purely on what we have got - I think it's been really disappointing. We've gone from a position & performances of real promise earlier in the season - and regressed to a situation that looks worrying at this point in time. I believe we are to good to be in serious trouble - yet we are heading rapidly into it. Hopefully a return to form at some point will ease those concerns and we can finish the season in some comfort. Based on the past 20 months, I'm not sure if there's much to base those hopes on.
  4. Yes, it is bleeding obvious, I agree. The problem is - many people are giving NP incredible leeway, in light of results & league position, which would not (has not) been tolerated previously - in belief of a 3 year rebuilding project. That's all very well IF that project is showing some signs of progress. So say that being weaker at the end of that 3 year project, is stating the bleeding obvious - then isn't the a serious flaw in the project...?
  5. I don't know, that's not my job. I don't think we will be as strong next season. That's my prediction - it's up to those in charge to prove me wrong. If they don't, we will be in big trouble next season, even if we can survive this season.
  6. I could be wrong, but aren't Wells, Dasilva, Klose, maybe Williams, King, James all ooc at the end of the season..?
  7. Don't delete their comments mate, please. They've made me laugh & it shows them up as the gobshite bully boy tossers that they are, for everyone else to see ??
  8. It's like talking to a brick wall - we all know we haven't got money to spend. That doesn't alter what we HAVE got & the failure to get the best from them. My prediction is that next season we will be looking back at this seasons squad & wishing we had half the quality that we've currently got.
  9. Oh rally..? I think you'll find the turnover told a very different story at 2 of the 3 pubs - but I'm sorry if they weren't to your liking!
  10. Oh you are a charmer mate..! Sadly, the FA look at results, when compiling the league table too - didn't you know that...? Clueless clowns, like me, aren't seeing anything other than dreadful results, coupled with, bar the odd exception like last Tuesday (which we still lost!) any sign of controlling games & getting the best out of a reasonable decent & talented squad. If we were controlling games & getting sicker punched, I could see your point - but we're not. We are struggling to win games & rarely deserving any better. We have talent, yet NP doesn't seem to know where or how to play them to get the best from them. If you are happy & content with how this progress is developing, then whoopee for you. I'm not. That doesn't make me an idiotic clown - it makes me a concerned supporter - so go F yourself if you don't like my opinion & don't go hurling derogatory comments at me from behind the safety of your anonymous keyboard. Have a lovely evening!
  11. I would say so, yes. They are 1 point above the relegation zone. What they have done is make a managerial change to address that. Their choice is a risky one, but a very astute one, I'd say. I'd replace NP with Michael Carrick in heartbeat.
  12. As I said earlier, on another thread - NP needed time, after last season, so show the development he could instill, after having the summer transfer window. I said back then, that we needed to give it until the world Cup break & then that would give a sensible, natural timing to assess where we are. I had fully expected that to be a satisfactory mid table position, or had hoped we'd be well set for a top 6 push - at one point, upto the Burnley, that looked highly possible. Since then, we have reverted to type and now, despite the utter delusion/blind faith that some are displaying - we are staring directly into a scrap that everyone thought we are/were/should be too good to be facing. The answer...? There's no magic answer. The question is more relevant - is NP getting the best from what we've got...? I'd say the answer is a resounding & prolonged - NO!
  13. How are we supposed to assess the season, if it's not at its current point...? That's not wetting the bed - it's being rightfully concerned. Do I think we are too good to be in a relegation scrap?.....absolutely. That's my point - that's exactly where NP has us.
  14. Consistency back...? Apart from what's turned out to be a "blip" earlier in the season - at what point have we had any consistency since NP has been here...?
  15. Yes I can. Being 3 points above the relegation zone, having played a game more than every team below us - is unacceptable. Being below Coventry, who have 3 games in hand, is unacceptable. Winning only 2 of our last 11 games is unacceptable. A points per game ratio, over 20 months, of 1.1ppg is unacceptable.
  16. It's not swings & roundabouts when we've won 2 of our last eleven games...! You make it sound like Sheff Utd game was an unfortunate anomolly - the anomolly was that we had the better of the stats - & still lost.
  17. Not sure of your point..? Those 2 games got us 1 point..! We had the better stats against Sheff Utd (rare) & lost.
  18. We are 3 points above the relegation zone, having played a game more than every team below us. We are BOTTOM of the form table over the last 10 games and won just 2 of our last 11 games.... You don't think that puts us in a relegation scrap...?
  19. It's not the point. Satisfied with a point away, of course. We've been battered today. If it weren't for Max, we could easily have conceded 5 or 6. They've had 70% possession. Over 20 efforts at our goal. More that twice the passes & twice the attacks we've had. This is one of the few teams who are below us in the table..! It's a welcome point - but a rather fortunate one.
  20. Preston, Luton, Millwall, Birmingham & Cardiff amongst others, have all managed better, with arguably worse squads than we've got & no better spending power than Nige has. The financial restraints meant that mid table would be acceptable. A relegation scrap is not acceptable & we will be weaker next season than we are this season, imo.
  21. Hallelujah! I'm not the only person on here who thinks this..! It seems like it, any time I question NP's record here.
  22. You sound like a bit of a North Korean lemming mate. You really feel that NP is getting the best from this squad...? We all know the Financial challenges & have been rather forgiving, in light of that. There's every chance we could finish today ONE point above the relegation zone. You're comfortable with that are you...? You think that the team we've got should be in that kind of position..?
  23. Below Coventry now & they've got 3 games in hand! They must have had loads of money to spend though, like Preston, Luton, Millwall, Birmingham & Cardiff - so it's OK & not OK to question NP..!
