  1. You must be apprehensive about ever doing anything, anywhere, ever, if 2 incidents would scare you off of doing something, when it's probably the least likely to end in tragedy. I'd certainly stay off the motorways if I were you... and don't drink...that can lead to all sorts of problems.
  2. Exactly what I was just thinking when the Mrs was saying "you're going to football on boxing day, aren't you.?" Something I'd usually tolerate being in the dog house for - but now I'm trying to think of an exciting alternative to having to make my way to the football.... So far my favourites are volunteering to pick up the dog shite in the garden... Striping the remaining turkey from the carcass.... Or telling her we really should spend the day with the inlaws..!

I thought we looked very good & fully in control for most of the first half. After they equalised, we looked clueless, shapeless and had no plan whatsoever.
  4. I'm still fuming about the fact that, at 1-2 down, our game plan was to spend any set piece, be it free kick or goal kick, spending 5 or 10 unconvincing passes, to ultimately end up getting the back to where the free kick was, or back to MoL for them to then try and get it forward (if we hadn't already lost it) What is the f...ing point or intention of that..?! I understand patient, controlled football, building from the back - but not for it to end up back where the set piece was from in the first place..! Abdolute clueless nonsense that is fully on NP - he wasn't even looking concerned by it on the touchline..! Fine if you are winning & winding the clock down, but unforgivable when you are chasing the game in the later stages. Sincerely, Mr Pissed off with NP's clueless leadership.
  5. Seems utterly ridiculous to only give STH 2 days to buy their seat, for a game that's over 4 weeks away & will be a relatively low crowd anyway. Why..?!
  6. Surely a bus shelter would surfice - if they are exoecting the majority of their fans to attend.
  7. Apparently they bought their most valuable one 30 years ago, for was a modest fee, even then - and they haven't invested more than that amount since..!
  8. It was a lovely touch & deserved tribute - but, did anyone else think it was really badly timed - from a football perspective - to have the distraction of it being moments before the second half started - after whatever halftime team talk had been delivered...? Distracting, surely. I don't think I've ever seem silimar, done at that same point during match proceedings.
  9. Yeah, my rinstant eaction was to turn to my mate & say that was top class defending. Was right in front of us and the way he stopped TC having space for the pass was very aware & top drawer.
  10. So they decide to re-brand - fair enough. Many clubs, including us, have done this to keep pace with modern day marketing. So, as part of this re-brand & increase their global appeal (could they be more globally appealing..? Who knew..?!)... ... Do they decide that being associated with a nickname that has a literal definition of a group who commit robbery & violence (at sea) Famous for Rape, Pilliage & plunder. Alternative meanings are those that illegally re-produce other peoples work - or, the slang definitions, which describe a man searching around for casual sex - or a pimp that steals a prostitute from another pimp.. Literally - only they could muster pride from such an association..! And as for the new badge... It does look like Ian Holloway has had his teeth capped and just looks utterly odd, without the lower jaw section included. Sheff Utd have blades as a tribute the the City's steel industry. Rovers have no reason for it other that to portray violence & illegal behaviour. Whoever was charged with design & re-branding for them must simply be something of a halfwit..!

It's a league fixture - so we absolutely should not get battered! (of course this happens sometimes) They aren't one of those teams that are simply roo good for this division. They are 5th. They have lost to several teams we'd class as our piers this season - a home battering would be utterly unacceptable - but I think it speaks volumes that plenty of are half expecting it to happen..
  12. Who picked tonight's team then...? And the genius explication for the past 20 months.....?
  13. Did you read the threads & posts from Saturday...? I'm the devil incarnate for even daring to question NP...! Not based on tonight, but the last 20 months of this. I'm the "idiotic clown" who is "the most hated poster on OTIB" though...!
  14. You think safety this season is a foregone conclusion and that we we will challenge next season...?! Challenge for what...? League 1 mid-table obscurity....?!
  15. Care to explain how, with his record here & current form - it's so improbable that we'd get relegated...?
  16. In fairness, than was the scenario at the end of the last woeful season. Unlike many, I'm not reacting to tonight (losing 1-3 to a team that lost to Chippenham at the weekend) I'm basing my thoughts on the past 20 months. Remind me, where we're we when he took over & where are we now....? & where do you think we will be in another year's time...?
  17. A 22 year old peaked last season....? OK then....!
  18. You must have missed my trying to respond to many, many different opinions. I agree with you about Naismith - as frustrating as his mistakes are - I'd rather have him in the team, that not. It was other on a full thread about him, saying he needed to be dropped. I generally agree with much of what you say - but I also feel & said at the end of last season, that the world Cup break would be a good point at which to assess the progress we'd made on NP's well below par record here upto the end of last season. If that were to be reviewed at that stage, I'm not sure that the review (in a football sense & certainly a league position sense) looks like it's going to reflect as much progress as I had hoped for & expected.
  19. Naismith - I like him, but he's cost us & the majority wanted him dropped. Tanner - I like what I've seen, but he's not played much. James - good player, not spectacular - final payday before retirement for him. Atkinson - has looked much better this season. I'm not sure much any of them have improved us.
  20. Purely on a hunch - as I said, it's a big risk appointment - but I think it's a shred one. High profile, but not glamorous. He's a switched on guy, who knows the game. It will be interesting to see how it pans out - but I have the feeling he's going to be a good appointment/have a good managerial career.
  21. I've always been a big fan of Bentley & I really hadn't seen anything in Max to think he'd be up to a first team spot, bar emergency need, & that he really needed to be on an L1 loan to try & develop. Hats off to the guy! Since he's come in recently, he has done really well & yesterday he was heroic in earning us a point. Well done Max, you were fantastic yesterday & are deserving to keep your place in the team right now & performances like yesterday should fill him with all the confidence he needs to keep getting better & better.
  22. Ooh let's try that....... ............. ...................... ............................ No, I concede. It must be a trick question.
  23. I can't belive that the player actually used it! What a knob..!
  24. On Tuesday, against the team that have just lost to Chippenham.... God help us if we lose this one..!
  25. Christ, let's please not start compiling a list of who has a better stadium that Rovers. We will miss the whole bloody World Cup by adding to the topic..!
