  1. Completely agree and I can’t stand the bloke (the language thing especially is a complete and utter pisstake and compare him with Vialli who apparently went from speaking not a word of English to virtually fluent in a matter of months). But you have to admire his ‘couldn’t give two Tom Tits’ attitude in some ways. Must have skin as thick as a rhino. Getting paid £28m a year will no doubt help with that though!
  2. £28.8m per year apparently - was their highest earner!
  3. Yet the Madrid fans still absolutely detest him in the main. Doesn’t seem to care too much about that though and fair play to him for that in some ways. He’s certainly made ridiculous amounts of money and has an amazing trophy cabinet.
  4. Been like it since a few weeks before the World Cup from what I’ve seen.
  5. Absolutely nuts. He really is going shit or bust isn’t he.

On then. More money in the coffers! ?
  7. I went to the Cov game so read their forum and they were moaning as well so it’s definitely not just us. But Cov seemed a very recent thing. What risks are they looking to mitigate? What happened between home and away fans when we have been near each other (other than Leeds when the bloke was in our actual end) that hasn’t happened anywhere else? What accidents happened when the lights were off for 35 mins of each half? What accident would an England flag cause? No don’t buy it sorry. They want a ‘family atmosphere’ as they think that’s what puts bums on seats and couldn’t give two toms about atmosphere.

Home and winnable though. More money in the coffers.
  9. I don’t know anything about SAG organisationally but I presume it’s not exclusive to us and is at least a city wide thing? If so then the Gas fans are pretty near to their away terrace and tents? What about National examples? At most Prem games (even when it’s a supposed rivalry) there are a couple of lines of stewards or at most police and then they just crack on. Same with the lights at night games. Same with how the new stands were designed. Same with bitching and moaning about flags. It just seems the Lansdowns are just desperate to have AG as a kindergarten rather than a hostile environment - or anything like it and it frustrates the heck out of me with how sterile it now is. It also makes me question the notion that JL ‘fell in love with the club’ at a young age. What did he fall in love with if it wasn’t the atmosphere? If it was 22 blokes kicking a ball then he could’ve got daddy to buy a far cheaper team but like most of us of his age and older I’d imagine it was the atmosphere - so why does he want it dead. Or was that just a bull story, made up to endear the family to the fans (rant at them not you ?)?
  10. Yep it’s been clear for years and years that they want happy clappy people who sit on their hands, mind their ps and qs and only play very nicely like good boys and girls. It’s pathetic and winds me up no end - makes us look weak and ever so inviting as a day out. They aren’t football people - they just don’t get it. I’m hopeful this new CEO, being ex Palace, does get it and will make some changes. Won’t hold my breath mind!
  11. Was there any actual incident? It was fantastic to have some atmosphere down there and added to a much better second half so hopefully our ‘esteemed Chairman’ will see that as a big positive (if indeed he takes any notice at all any more!)
  12. Yep it was very noticeable. Good on them.
  13. I’ve posted elsewhere that I think there should always be a ‘family area’ option, so if the club are to shut the upper Lansdown then they need to make provisions for those who want to take their kids and be away from any language. Would’ve been easy for the club to make a block family friendly.
  14. Ahhh that’s good to hear. Deserves it. He was ropey for a couple of minutes after and thought he may shrink but luckily he went the other way. Came around on his own after the game to applaud as well which given some fans possible reaction was also good to see. Hopefully this will now spur him on and a positive will come out of the negative.
  15. Failed with a couple of final balls today. Smashed one in particular that no one was getting anywhere near it and it went so hard that it went for a throw the other side of the pitch. If he can improve that final ball he will be the next one on the list to be going to a higher placed club as he’s superb (disclaimer he also put a couple of really good balls in also I appreciate that).
  16. Fair enough, poor from the club then. I think there should always be the option for families to be away from the more ‘involved’ members of our fanbase.
  17. There is a family stand for those who don’t enjoy it or want to engage. It’s football (although tbf I don’t know exactly what you are referring to so if it was something out of the ordinary I apologise).
  18. Andi left his leg hanging in one challenge which was really obvious, really weak - lucky to get away with it.
  19. Thought he did very well after the mistake (he was definitely culpable). Put in some very good challenges after a ropey couple of minutes after the goal.
  20. 20 minutes doesn’t excuse some of his recent performances but it’s a start. Thought James did well today. Was awful against West Brom as was Williams but was ok at Cov and better today.
