Player transfer out that effected you the most?
lenred replied to Major Isewater's topic in Football Chat
Seeing Bobby tapping his head hurt. -
Quite possibly yes. But so many other clubs don’t do it so it can’t not be up for discussion at least. A blanket ‘SAG says no’ isn’t good enough imo (on all sorts of issues not just lights).
-
Fair play to them. That’s superb for a crap kick off time on a Sunday.
-
That wasn’t my point though. My point is that you don’t like the answer provided and instead of engaging in a further discussion, or even, god forbid, acknowledging that there are merits in the responses you were so keen to illicit, you’ve just gone ‘let it be’ which to me comes across as someone who doesn’t like what they’ve heard as they know it’s right.

You initiated the debate and have been desperate for people to spell out to you when MA gets forgotten and doesn’t get any blame any more - you then receive some well thought out, in depth answers and your response is ‘let it be’?

Our new CEO has been in charge at Palace for a very long time. Under his stewardship Palace have become one of the clubs that has the best atmosphere in the country and he must’ve a) had at least something to do with it and b) have seen the benefits of a vocal stadium on the performance on the pitch. Hopefully this means that he will be open to ideas about various options that could improve the match day atmosphere. Sorting out the away fan conundrum, encouraging fan engagement in other areas other than the ‘singing section’ and turning the bloody lights off at night games would be a good start! Really hopeful that be comes with good ideas on this.

The ***t who had a huge say in putting this club onits knees financially and then ran as fast as he could from the mess he created, is now their CEO. Surprised you didn’t know.

Yep all three are superb - very lucky to have such quality content on here.

What a ‘ish comment.

He still got a knighthood. Whoever nominated him matters not. It’s a ‘ing sham and corrupt that a useless, destructive charlatan like him gets any honour and only serves to back up what is being said about the honours system on this thread. Outdated and pointless.

I disagree with pretty much everything you have written - especially on the fact that you think he is not the right man as you haven’t warmed to his character (which in my eyes is one of the main reasons as to why he is the right man for the current job) but your two long posts are very well thought through and I appreciate that - it’s great to read a reasoned reply as opposed to the usual. What’s even better is your very well thought out suggestion of a suitable replacement. Very interesting indeed - Postecoglu has obviously done incredibly well so there is precedence of an Aussie manager doing well over here. Will follow his name with interest and who knows when the time comes when NP does go - maybe he will be the man!

Millwall away match thread
lenred replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Yep. Obviously a little more restrained than the meltdown that would’ve ensued had we lost, but plenty still banging their NP out drums, despite us getting an away draw at a side that would’ve gone 4th if they had won. Only Millwall though isn’t it - a side we should beat every time apparently because we are the mighty Bristol City! -
Fantastic news!

Cracking point away from home. Well done lads and NP. -

Never going to happen. Him and a few others. No point in asking them. -
Even when it does work the picture quality is absolutely ‘ing useless on virgin so I always end up watching on the app on my iPad (which is working for me now btw).
-
Yep. Consistently terrible.

I’d imagine it’s just in relation to all the shit he’s apparently been getting on Twitter. Must admit its slightly odd though.

Tbf Mr Pop I don’t think 2.5-3 months to buy a football club is any great deal of time. It takes longer for a domestic house sale to go through a lot of the time!
