  1. Blimey. Hope the kid makes a speedy and safe recovery.
  2. As others have said a mightily depressing list. None of that them are better than what we have. Duff at a push if on pain of death, but it’s would be a massive massive gamble and I wouldn’t be putting any money in him keeping us up let alone doing any better.
  3. Sykes has been a glaring problem area for a long stretch now imho. It’s really frustrating to watch the amount of space on that right side every single game. Obviously Wilson being injured has given him more exposure than was planned in the first team. It’s a big step up for him from League 1 so it’s not a huge slight on him personally and he’ll improve I’m sure but he could do with taking a blow. Trouble is, who comes in for him.
  4. Think it’s probably more to do with the fact you spouted complete and utter horse shit. Just saying.
  5. Yeah - having your coaching staff sacked and the replacements chosen for you must smart - a lot! They should’ve just let him go then. Rasmus Ankersen is the ex Brentford connection, Director of Football and CEO of Southampton's major shareholder. Definitely pulling the strings!
  6. Very strange to get rid of Hasenhüttl imho. Yes they’ve only treaded water during his tenure - they are in the same position as when he took over 4 years ago, 18th - but what do Southampton fans expect with the squad they have which is young and inexperienced and lacking any goals at all? Jones’ only move has been to Stoke where he couldn’t do anything and he will take them down. Would be livid if I was a Southampton fan but it’s a classic case of be careful what you wish for!
  7. He’s massively improved during this current stint. Think even his fiercest critics must agree on that. Long may it continue as I’m guessing this is nearing last chance saloon to nail down a first team place at Champ level.
  8. Some did. One of my better half’s best friends is a Bosnian refugee who came over after her father was assassinated on their front door step during the war.
  9. I think when he puts players in the squad he does it because he thinks they merit it and will contribute - he isn’t doing it just for the sake it - and I guess on those occasions there possibly wasn’t anyone available that matched that criteria.
  10. Exactly. This is a pointless platitude. It’s illegal to take class As but as you say it’s rife and obvious in a lot of places and very few establishments do anything about it.
  11. What is it there for then? Genuine question. Where would you direct my brother and young nephew if not there?
  12. Tricky isn’t it. I’m early 40s and remember the days when this wouldn’t even be up for discussion and in my humble opinion, rightly so. But times are changing. All I can say on it is that I had this very discussion with my brother on Monday night, who doesn’t support City but who wants to start taking my young nephew on occasion. I let him know how it was around us in the SS and that there is a fair amount of swearing and so we both agreed that for him and my nephew the family stand would be the right choice. That’s what it’s there for isn’t it? If it’s not then what is it there for as it’s definitely not for the view. Poor kids are bloody miles away!
  13. Ahhhh there we are……..cracked eventually ?
  14. Hence my opening line; ‘The standard of refereeing is a disgrace. He completely lost control tonight from where I was sat in the SS.’
  15. Fair enough. Not how I saw it. They bullied us and played the ref and we didn’t. As per.
  16. The standard of refereeing is a disgrace. He completely lost control tonight from where I was sat in the SS. But we just do not help ourselves. Sheff Utd bullied us tonight and played the ref whereas we were our usual safe selves. If we can see the ref is not going to give much then why oh why can we just not be more street smart and give as much as we take. We’ve got better than we were but we are still far too nice for this division and it really really hacks me off on nights like tonight!
  17. Just doesn’t do it for me in any way. I didn’t even get a ticket to the SA game, neither did my pals for the same reason. I appreciate there are those that do so fair enough. At least in the Pro14 it’s sport that means something same as I enjoy the Prem whether it’s international break or not as they are playing for something. Yeah that’s fair enough, but it’s too short notice just to shove something in the diary imho. Guessing lots of people will have already made plans. As I said originally though, I understand they’re in a bind but an arbitrary ‘this is your replacement and it’s in two weeks time - like it or lump it’ just wasn’t the way to go about it.
  18. So the replacement fixture for Worcester is a friendly against Cardiff. Pretty cheesed off tbh. I never watch friendlies in any sport I follow - just not interested at all. And taking place during autumn international phase will demean the quality even further. Appreciate what Bris are trying to do and that they are in a spot but it isn’t good enough imho.
  19. Bowie - Station to Station The Beatles - Abbey Road Beastie Boys - Ill Communication Sugar - Beaster Faith No More - Angel Dust Some would no doubt change if I answered tomorrow or even tonight ?
  20. Be great if that was possible. To get from where I live (near the county ground) to AG takes an hour on the bus on a good day and that’s without waiting times. It’s ridiculous.
  21. Exactly the same for me. Yet again different rules for different people in different cities. ‘Ing ridiculous.
  22. They will but the posher areas will now see a hell of a lot more traffic because of the restrictions is the point that I think is being made. So the residents in those areas won’t be happy. It’s a complete and utter shit show every way around.
