Really? As KITR said they are chalk and cheese even accounting for Kings injuries. Brunt was a complete waste of space in a team full of them. Maybe you watched different games to me and my mates but my City chat groups were at their wits end whenever he came on or started - as was this place iirc. That reaction simply does not happen with King and that’s telling. There’s also no doubt whatsoever that King will have been brought in for his experience and dressing room presence which from what I can judge has seen an improvement. Counter that with Brunt who was also brought in with that in mind but who didn’t appear to have any such effect for whatever reason.

Yeah quite possibly. Either way it’s good that a proper established community pub exists around there. Never understood what used to happen with the S&D opening and closing all the time - could be (and has been) a great pub. Best pub up there is definitely the Oxford though these days.

I had always assumed that the Victoria was a local indie as it had that kind of feel, shows what I know! Guessing the Riser will be modelled more on the White Hart but who knows.

We sold out our allocation to Swansea which is practically the same distance as Middlesborough to Barnsley. We’re in a much much worse position than ‘Boro as well. They’ve got plenty to play for…..let’s not be too hard on ourselves.

Thought so thanks for confirming. Yeah it is I agree. I think he cleverly picked two extremely highly charged games to make his point - there was always going to be flash points at those two games - but you’re right in how young some of them were. What I don’t understand is why the Police don’t actually police trains going to these games. They would say costs no doubt but at these supposed ‘high risk’ games there are so many Police that surely they can put two or three on a train over in their robo cop outfits. The majority of young ‘uns would soon buckle up.
