Sorry? What’s with the aggro? You said you’d not want your kid to hear it and I’m saying I hear it at away games? I’m not condoning it just answering your point. Get a grip.

The CSF chant is heard at a lot at away games if there’s ever even any whiff of trouble.
  3. Still getting used to the fact that we have experienced, knowledgable, high quality professionals in charge at our club who speak in a language we can all understand, clearly and concisely and with the confidence that they know what they are doing and that it will produce results. Such a relief to know the club is in such good hands as we now go forwards and it must instil great belief and confidence in the players. Exciting times.
  4. Up there as one of my favourite City moments. Amazing game and day.
  5. Wonder where he’ll end up next. What a waste of talent.
  6. Loved working and drinking there. Certainly saw some interesting sights and sounds. Had a great juke box as well which is another thing I mourn the loss of across the piece. Being from Somerset and being brought up on the stuff I thought I could drink Cider with the best of them but CPS was quite an education and quickly made me realise that I was still very much junior ranking compared to the regulars there!
  7. Hoping they continue it on Sunday as I’m going up to the game. Looking forward to it!
  8. Certainly sounds like it! Rob does a cracking job.
  9. Never mind Garner, is that a new tent in the far corner? Splashing out big time!
  10. Essentially unless the cider (CPS was a cider house) was overflowing over the top of the glass when you served it, regulars would call it a dockers half. Told off was a bit strong but it would be asked to be remedied immediately! Passing a glass back with only a third of a pint in it and asking it to be filled up for the cost of a half was pretty normal behaviour. Used to do it myself quite a lot come to think of it!
  11. Used to work for a couple of evenings a week there when I first moved up to Bristol many many many years ago. An interesting introduction to bar work as basically I had to run the place on my own of an evening as a young 20 year old who had never worked behind a bar before. Frank Sinatra at the end of the night on the juke box to make sure regulars knew it was time to go. Getting told off for serving a ‘dockers half’. Loved it. Although a Cheddar Valley (derv in those days - not the soft stuff it is now!) drinking contest went quite badly one Saturday afternoon! Sunday cricket team as well. Bloody loved it.
  12. Fantastic night, tight game and the loudest I’ve heard the Gate for a good good while. Genuinely felt like the crowd had a big say in it tonight. Hope it came across well on the box. Always lovely to beat they buggers!

    Bakinson

Absolute rubbish - how can you even know that (you can’t) and there is no way in the world NP would play him if it were even remotely true. Some of the comments on this thread are truly embarrassing - he’s a really young player for OUR team who has his bad parts to his game but also has great aspects as well. Why oh why he is getting a) his own thread singling him out in the first place when there were others (far better paid and more experienced) players last night that were equally as bad (and b) getting so many hyperbolic responses on the thread is embarrassing imho. Just hope the kid doesn’t read it because I know if it was me it would upset me at being singled out amongst that performance last night and I’d be asking why that was. Thankfully we have a measured experienced manager to steer him through.

    Bakinson

I expect he will carry on as he has done - starting some games and not others and continuing his development. He’s nowhere near the finished article but he wouldn’t have already played the amount he has this season if NP didn’t think he deserved it.

    Bakinson

And Massengo was getting more and more detractors on this message board up until this season. Bakinson just seems the new favourite for the boo boys unfortunately despite the fact that there were plenty of others nowhere near the top of their game tonight. He’s still developing and people need to give him a chance and stick with him no jump on him every time he has a below average game, usually in line with plenty of other more experienced and far better paid players. Interestingly on Instagram there are 47 comments on the latest post from City (all moaning!) and Bakinson gets mentioned once. Chris Martin on the other hand…..
  16. We’re going to have performances and results like this unfortunately. It’s where we currently are. Fantastic one day and mediocre the next. But we’re building. Still take the positive that we should’ve got something really tonight and weren’t just completely battered. Onto the next one!
  17. Bakinson still very inexperienced at this level and will come good I think. COD has had plenty of opportunities and continues to flatter to deceive after a good amount of time now and chance upon chance. All about opinions though!
  18. I’d much rather watch Bakinson than COD. Maybe in the minority, especially at times like tonight when loads are singling him out but COD is a waste of a man in the team imho and never ever takes his ‘turn’ to contribute to anything. Hope he now scores and shuts me up!
  19. We deserve something from this game and hopefully we will still get it.
  20. Exactly what I’ve heard - second hand admittedly but very very good info.
  21. Hear hear. Saturday felt like some kind of turning point to me in that regard - a real feeling of togetherness on the pitch and a crowd who understood in the main part of what is going on in terms of rebuild and how much a result like that may mean going forwards. Felt like a victory at the end and although some may see that as ‘tin pot’ I think it shows where we currently are. Exciting times ahead indeed.
  22. They have to give a bigger allocation for the FA Cup I believe. What a great day that was btw!
