136/8 doesn't look great, but at least it is now our highest championship innings against Essex this season

39 for 4......when's it going to ******* rain !
Looks like it is about to start in Taunton, so probably another hour to reach Bristol - although Mendips may hold it back a bit

Well it looks like will get some play today - first session looks ok but after that a wash out.
So all out by lunch today then?
Will Harmer open the bowling?
-
Abbott seems to be bowling better since lunch
-
The commentators in the Somerset game were saying there was an extra 10 minutes before lunch as we had 8 wickets down, but I presumed the session was 10 minutes longer to make up for some lost overs yesterday wasn't it?

This match isn't going to a fourth day
On the basis of the first hour today it may not even go to a third day

In typical Gas fashion we’re at 25K having started at a more realistic 20K. How long before the bloody thing is bigger than Old Trafford?

Well I must say that I wasn't expecting this. Maybe @bert tann can shed some light.
This is a necessary step so that the owners can put in more equity without having to go down the full rights issue route; Steve Lansdown regularly does this as it allows money to go in that isn't caught by FFP rules.
It is also money that you can't just hoik out by selling the ground, unlike the Dwane Sports loan.
I don't know if I really should be posting positive news for the fewers on this thread but that's certainly what it is; I suppose it provides a bit of balance to the thread.
(I was actually lookng to see if their Filton company had been struck off yet as that was due to happen today).
This is the 1883 company - the one in which people own the shares; equivalent to our BCFC Holdings.
01 Jul 2019 Resolutions - Resolution of removal of pre-emption rights
- Resolution of allotment of securities
This document is being processed and will be available in 5 days.Just spotted the same thing whilst looking at the Filton Avenue company too. It does look like positive news however you look at it. I'm still a bit surprised they appear to be letting the dormant companies get struck off.

I do think winning is too big an ask, at this point I'd be happy enough if a few batsman manage to really dig in and we get to 200ish.
Looking at the in play odds though, Essex 1/2, Somerset 13/8, Draw 28/1 so it would appear others have a lot more faith than I do.

Oh dear. I do worry about our batting.

That's what I thought.
Sometimes the actual pdf takes a day or so to appear but the record of their having been filed happens almost straight away as they're uploaded directly by the filer.
They're claiming they were electronically filed last Thursday evening? Maybe Grant Thornton forgot to put a shilling in the meter.
To be fair they were still using paper filing for the accounts last year and companies house are currently processing accounts received last Friday so I guess they should appear in a day or two.
The slightly odder thing is that the three dormant company accounts were filed electronically last year and haven't appeared yet.
The quote regarding why they are late does appear to confirm that it took a while for Hani to agree to fund for a further 12 months
QuoteThe delay in the process was subject to technical accounting assurances that the auditors wished to obtain

Wow. I was thinking their loss might be in region of 2m, putting them within touching distance of using the 15m Dwane credit facility in the next 12 months, turns out they are probably already over 15m by now if those figures are correct.
Will be interesting to see some detail when they get published.

Brian Rose reckons the pitch should flatten out this afternoon - just in time for Somerset to get the last three Warwickshire wickets and be 5 or 6 down themselves by 15H00 .
Should flatten out just in time for the start of the second Warwickshire innings?

Four down in the first hour. Not a great start

Still no accounts published.
I did just notice that there is a company called Dwane Developments UK https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11253528/ owned by Dwane Sports and with just Hani Al-Qadi as a director. I wonder if Hani is hoping that Dwane may take possession of some real estate they could develop?

Hmm I reckon we’re 50+ light but who knows
It does feel that way, although I wonder if it isn't as easy as Banton and Trego made it look at times

Isn't there going to be a seeding system in place? In which case it seems pretty certain there'll only be one game between us.
