See you have the book “Derby Days”. For the benefit of our younger subscribers, perhaps you’ll be kind enough to answer their natural question, wtf is a derby?
Well done. Quote of the week!
I wouldn’t care if we never play them again! However the insanity when Martyn Hirst scored will stay with anyone that was crammed in there forever!

I saw a documentary/interview with him once. Certainly one to keep watching.

Might be cheaper to let you have a free ST than the cost of the call!
Thats what I’m hoping! I’ve got a feeling they can’t make international calls
I’ll keep y’all updated!

Good bit of form and out they pop, like clockwork.
19 minutes ago, Big C said:Yeah nothing to do with being the end of the season
Both of these things are true. There would have been some sort of end of season statement at some point, but a little form helps the timing no end!

The last JL statement was self damning and I suspect lessons have been learned. But anyone sensible still takes your point. However the last one was so awful the damnation was earned. This one was much better!

SL appears to have effectively handed the running of the club to Jon. I don’t expect anything from Steve until such a time as we get promoted or sold!

How the Ref misses that Pen first time I'll never know. Bottles it knowing VAR is there
There was a nailed on Peno for an outright assault on Semenyo in the Bournemouth game. Not given. The Bournemouth bench were going mad!

Nope. You're the one who said you drove to London and were on the beers. How did you get back?
34 minutes ago, W-S-M Seagull said:It's slightly concerning that your obsession stretches as far as keeping tabs on my travel arrangements.
We missed our mega bus so drove to London.
Took us ages to find a petrol station open at 6am in the morning.
Eventually got to London and parked up. Elizabeth line was then suspended so back in the car we got and drove to another station for a different line.
We then headed to the o2 arena where I had a breakfast followed by some beers.
Another line then got suspended so we had to uber it to the tax payer funded stadium which once hosted the Olympics.
We arrived just in time for kick off so had no time for pre match beers.
We then watched Bristol City play in the former Olympic stadium and had a fantastic time with 9000 other Bristol City fans.
At half time I had another beer which looking back at my bank account I wasn't charged for.
After the game we walked around the former Olympic stadium and had beers with the West Ham fans in the home bars outside the stadium.
After that we then went to the shopping centre which we had to wait ages for the gates to open. Spoke to many West Ham fans whilst waiting too.
We then went into the shopping centre and we had Popeyes.
Following that we then went to Wendys for some burger and fries.
We then got the lizzie line all the way back to where the car was parked and my friend drove home.
Fantastic day that will live long in the memory which then set up a replay at Ashton Gate which we then won.
Classic thread material!
And this has to do with a pitch invader in a dress how?

Interesting. A part exchange deal.
Ok 2/3 of our players but who would they be ?
A part exchange hadn’t even crossed my mind. However who knows. It’s more than possible no matter which division Burnley end up in.
The players we know are being looked at are Conway and Pring.
Add to this a few players that no one would be surprised if there are enquires for such as Knight, Bell, Vyner even Dickie (who has had a brilliant season) then a deal for Twine is possible.
My thoughts are there are going to be incomings (some we already know) and outgoings to allow players to come through and create the money for the forward (probably two forwards if Conway goes) that Tinnion spoke about today.
If i remember rightly he spoke about a “ten” which most would assume Twine is top of the list!
My crystal ball tells me someone from Oxford is on the Radar too! The play offs will indeed have a baring there.

Okies
.yes done seemingly decent recruitment with some still to be seen next season. I would suggest couple of those should go down to Pearson not BT. How say does BT have over the manager? How much day does SL and/or crayon boy have.
And yes we will see next season
A good base from this year ?
What does the summer recruitment bring and how much ambition shown in that area.
Yes things seem to be settling and firm /results are improving .
I would love to be priced wrong but really not convinced by the BT/ crayon boy dynamic over/controlling/dictating to LM
COYR
As Pearson said in his interview this week, ‘Liam has taken over a very good position’
He has. And he’s been promised some spends. I’m excited to see what happens in the summer. If Manning really wants Twine then I can see a scenario where offers are accepted for two even three of ours.

Excellent game today, looked really sharp and linked up play really well. His performance was capped off with a well taken free kick.
Manning wants to sign him and if he has a little financial wriggle room Burnley may well take far less than the inflated £5m they’ve been asking for.
An offer of £2.5m might just tempt them……….
That will obviously depend on their position. I guess we will see
However he had a very good game today in a number of ways
The fact he was trying to get on of the end of things at the back post was very positive. With Bell out we missed that!!

Murphy
I think his record speaks for itself.
Or Pearson’s.

I would not be too disappointed to see Leeds go up, for the simple reason they always seem to beat us!
We had a period where the opposite was true in the 70s….but yeah.

They were world beaters waiting for their ordination after we played like ass at AG against them! According to some.

I am so confused!
How many season tickets have actually been sold to supporters?
How is withholding seats in the South Stand advantageous to the football club?
Am I off base here, but are the club threatening/implying they will limit sales of season tickets at a relatively low level?
All help appreciated!
Hate quoting myself sorry!
58 minutes ago, Sleepy1968 said:I get you. You are right but I just don't want believe what he says. We aren't supported anything like well enough for this to be a good idea.
I'm hoping it's a marketing gimmick to try to generate more ST sales, but if its not, I look forward seeing how it plays out.
Thats how I took that statement…..Renew now or very soon as we may not sell you a season ticket! I hope that was not what was meant, however I won’t renew mine until I see commitment to support THEIR guy in all areas where necessary!
Personally I think we have players who are coming through who are earning a chance plus Benarous Atkinson etc, so I don’t necessarily mean purchases. But if we sell Conway/Knight/Pring etc I expect to have an idea how that is to be reinvested.
The CFO of BS stated on FBC words to the effect that there never was a ‘nest egg’ and much of the money was already spent. Thus I’m not sure where the nest egg comment came from but that particular bloke needs to STFU!
For my tuppence I’ll buy mine in July if I see that commitment. If they won’t sell me one then, if I deem it worthy they shalt GO **** Themselves !

1. 12k+
2. Two reasons: They are trying to increase bums on seats, seeing as the South Stand attendances have been hugely under capacity for many games, with all tickets sold to ST holders (as in Sold Out). Also gives us cheaper POTD alternative.
3. I think some people got the wrong end of the stick. Ain't no way the Club would limit ST sales below the proscribed limit (there have to be a certain percent of POTD tickets available.)
Waits for people to disagree ...
Thanks. Very helpful! Do we know what the% POTD is?

Think there bloody luck Nigel's health comes first because I have a feeling he could of responded after they made there comments.
Confirms everything we've been saying.
The implication is clear!
Allardyce didn’t go into confidentiality clauses are two way, just for fun. They are bound to have spoken about it.
That was as close to ‘my (NP) lawyers had a word’ as you will get. (Ref Tinman Lansdown Junior post termination excuses) I also think that there was a little warning there. The fact that NP said what he said about hearing the reasons after he had left and the termination agreement agreed, is as close to a violation of a confidentiality clause as it can be…..read (I think it was actually said as a generalization) you did it first Lansdown/Tinnion
Many CC’s will have terms of expiry. Ask me in a year is letting everyone know that you might want to extend that if you want to keep it out of my autobiography!
I agree it’s clear that what we saw at the time was not in someway not what Happened. It’s exactly what happened!
Brilliant show btw. First class insight into what goes on behind the scenes by Allardyce and Pearson!

I wouldn't be too hard on them, there are loads of people in the professional media who seem incapable of asking an open question.
Thats the truth!! Unfortunately the lads seemed to give the guy a metaphorical get out of jail free card in one section, answering their own stuff.
However it was the best opportunity we’ve had to listen to the bloke speak and I am extremely grateful for the effort that takes! I’m not sure the radio Brizz journos would have been better or even got that amount of time. So nice job!
