Thanks NTTDS. We should keep this near the top of the page for tune in purposes!
Today could be a defining moment in not only fledgling careers but also for Brian Tinnion (who has probably rightfully been vilified over Pearson’s sacking), the entire academy and HPC and the bringing in of Mbude to cover our kids on the bench while they try and get themselves a Youth Cup final.
When you look at past players/winners (BT included) you get a sense for how big this game could be/is.

POTS = Rob Dickie (by a mile)
YPOTS = Tommy Conway (not a lot of choice)
Champagne Moment = The complete evisceration of the club's hierarchy and their lack of clarity by @Ron W on Sky Sports*
*If everyone could vote for this as Champagne Moment the penny might finally drop
I had never read that before. Sums up so much, obviously the bloke writing it knows the club well
For information purposes I voted for OLeary. In my head it was him or Dickie but OLeary deserves to be recognized even if it’s for second place.

Yes but not that many in my opinion.
We can agree to disagree there.
However we are both hoping that Mr Manning has turned a metaphoric corner and we can play a bit more to the abilities of our players and a little less to an idea!
A result at Sunderland will really be great for everyone.

The revisionism is great. No matter what anyone says there were games where we were simply awful.
What appears to have changed in the last couple of games is
A We won them
B We played with an intent to go forward that was lacking

Results aside what was the point in this loan. Since he’s joined we’ve played 11 games.
1 game he didn’t make the squad
7 times he’s sat on the bench and not got off it.
3 times he’s come off the bench for a grand total of 44 minutes.
He’s not played since Cardiff away where he got 8 minutes on February 2nd.
Now we’re safe surely we either give him game time or bring some of our own youth players in who we think could step up.
Baffling loan so far.
Someone wanted a closer look. They have now looked. If we didn’t have a youth cup semi tomorrow I’m not convinced he would even be in the squad.

That Man C team is finished. Been saying it for a while, thrilled that Keane referred to Haaland as a league two player, reminds me of the ex Luton striker Steve Howard! Touch and overall play is dire to watch, massively overrated, KDB also looks past his sell-by date. Think they need some new creative players. Arsenal are the future and can see them dominating for years.
I hate April fools day!

Exactly!
Some of the stuff you read and hear is nonsense.
The Leicester performance added a lot of value!

Big game tomorrow, I would argue the biggest game for the club until next August now!!
GOOD LUCK TO OUR BOYS!
How many are going?
What are the watching listening options?!

Today should be a continuation of intent, method, trying to repeat Friday. Performances can vary, I’ll live with that, but the change in intent on Good Friday from many previous weeks was enjoyable.
Yes I think you nailed it there….’intent’.
Hopefully some of that today too!

Hope you had a good day despite the result.
Still up for catching a game there myself. Even if it's conference next season.
My old man lived in Nailsworth for the last few years of his life, so I guess that is some kind of (tenuous) affiliation.
Blinding afternoon.
Diabetes it’s coming for you!

Ok, I'll give you 5 minutes of my time before you can **** off.
And don't bother sending me threatening PMs this time, y'***t.
So, to answer:
It's because that's where HE has said HE wants "HIS" club to be aiming for.
No-one's put a gun to his head.
No-one's asking him to risk the existence of the club.
But more than 20 years is long enough to get it right and he hasn't. So now it's time for someone else to have a go.
There you are. You can **** off now. Again.

Work, other commitments. I probably don’t have the right to comment recently because I don’t go to games much but I have been to many games over the years, and most of them were in the days when city were in the third and forth division. I do pay to watch online. For all the memorable games I have been to there are many more forgettable games.
Did you send threatening PMs?

Threatening PMs?
That wouldn’t be the best!

New to this site. Don’t go to many games now but have been to many over nearly 50 years. Would love to see city in the top division again but it has to be done without risking the existence of the club. Steve lansdown has given the club a sound footing but why should he spend all his money chasing the premier league. As I say I’m new here, see a lot of negativity to Bristol sport. Why is that?
I’m old here Damon. Nice to see your thoughts.
unfortunately this place is so overwhelmed with posts:bots like yours I can’t take you seriously and the overwhelming majority won’t
Perhaps if you PM me/someone and let us know something as to why anyone should take anything you say seriously that would be great.

He could have, yes, but then Max is under pressure. Just launch the effing thing
The point of playing out (as you know better than anyone) is to often invite the press leaving space behind the presser. Thus Max to Zach. Leicester players move to the ball Zach back to max who in theory finds the players behind the press
The reality is we eff it up or Max kicks for touch…..theory is great practice/execution iffy as per!

Poor decision from Max to pass to Zak, who compounded that decision.
We play out. Knowing there will be a press. Vyner was available. He could have played it back to Max but he shanked it to Vardy.
I’m not sure Mr Manning would be looking much further than a defender who put the ball at the feet of an England center forward myself, rather than a perfectly good, controllable pass from a goalkeeper previously.

Exactly what I said in the matchday thread. Roberts, James and Pring were all excellent.
I exclude O’Leary from that as his mistake led to a golden chance and his other saves were down to poor finishing from Vardy.
His mistake? Are you talking about Vyners pass that went straight to Vardy in front of goal which OLeary saved or something else?

Absolutely destined for the Prem.
Denied us at least one obvious penalty, allowed Chowdury to commit three yellow card offences & still didn’t book him & couldn’t get the card out quickly enough for Wells.
Vardy’s late one on Max was a booking every day of the week too.
Rubbish.
I could not agree more.
If I was a player, supporter or exec of Leicester I would be embarrassed at how biased the ref was. How Dickie was not a pen I don’t know, but that seemed to become the benchmark.
We could have had a player clubbed in their box and it would have been deemed 50/50 due to the forward having a head.
To be seen as that ‘poor’ on national tv is bound to create questions!
