Had quite a back n forth with Woodsy on here 10/15 odd years ago. Once it settled we exchanged a few PMs. He was obviously a huge City fan and he told me about his affection for Gloucester RFC and Cricket. A nice guy as are most of the people you don’t see eye to eye with on a faceless forum. something people need to remember when they sit behind their iPhone. I know he had a couple of other mates that post here, whom I’m sure will be hurting today. His family must be devastated and my heart goes out to them. CITY TILL I DIE!

Many! But there are some described by one bloke up the thread as relentless with their negativity. It’s true!
-
I don’t get the constant negativity of some, even when it comes to a hastily arranged meaningless kick around to get players up toward match fitness.

Joe Bryan - Signed for Millwall

Joe didn’t want to leave London, if he had a choice. It took him ages to settle! -
Funny thing with SL n SoD. I always got the impression he didn’t want him particularly, but was convinced/talked into it. Hey ho! I remember the down without a fight comment very well and I reckon he believed it well and truly.

I will brush over McInnes as the very thought of that bloke makes my blood boil and has got me in countless arguments! SoD took us down, to quote SL,“without a fight” and we were hurtling toward another relegation. I don’t do revisionism. They were both crap appointments that were largely endorsed by posters here!

You see the word legend a lot these days! This man truly was a hero of this football club! In two spells became our biggest transfer fee in and scored two goals in our final home game to beat champions Liverpool! Anyone who was on the EE that night will never forget it. One of those nuts occasions when the crowd was massively under estimated and you couldn’t even get your fags out. In the following game after Donnie had made it 2:2 Chris was looking for a winner. Geoff Merrick had to tell him get back here and don’t venture over the effing half way line. I remember so Many of his goals and have a copy of his autobiography A LIFE OF TWO HALVES. I am close to tears this afternoon but will have one for Chris later!

Alex Scott - £25m to Bournemouth- Confirmed

That was necessary! ? Anyway we will see. Any amount of press speculation won’t change a thing. No one has got close enough to the number to justify further conversation. Also the boy does not have to go anywhere even if someone does. -

And he is happy to go to the club who has hit the magic number. Muff will need a lot of selling, even more than usual. -

I can see him starting the season for sure. If he shows form the offers will increase. A lot can happen between now and Friday 1st September at 11 -

The kid seems perfectly happy here playing on his PlayStation with his mate ConwAy! Head turners Wolves and Muff are not. However, I would say spurs, Manchester C/U,Liverpool, Arse Chelsea + one of about five European clubs then head turns would be an issue. This is going to run for a while yet as I personally feel something big is brewing! -

I’m over 60! Whilst meeting big John on many occasions I did not really remember seeing him playing. This boy is in my opinion the best player we’ve had since Gerry Gow broke into our team at about the same age. -

15+ additions appears to be the offer. Who knows how attainable those additional sums are. All the time the valuation is not met there is likely to be a bidding war until one or more clubs meets what City are prepared to accept. It’s a factor of what other clubs come in and I don’t rule out one or more of the really big hitters. -

I’m not convinced he wants to go for anyone but a big club. No one has convinced me that a big name won’t come in before the transfer window shuts, particularly if he’s playing well. Scott is certainly settled with his side kick ConwAy, so who knows. However the eye watering amounts of wedge that are going to be thrown at him could become factor. -

If they offer the asking price the boy has a choice to make that’s for sure! -
If you’re a Derby fan Knight coming to us is a knightmare! I haven’t seen the NFFC fault list lately, but OTIB is definitely prominently featured on it, along with some named individuals!

I never/rarely do. We have a little what’s app group for match days. The match day threads after @BigTone condensed @Jerseybean can be a little nauseating! -

Yes agree with this too. However I think that is changing. You only have to look at Kelly Webster Brownhill even Ayling. Add Scott in Conway Pring and now allegedly Vyner and the hard work of Timion and his staff will get recognized If it doesn’t. So much the better. -

Yes I have thought that for quite sometime. In Scotts case if he stays injury free it’s only a matter of time that someone pays, IMO. -

Some players do, under some circumstances. A 19 year old with two years on his contract, not so much. But if you want to believe that tripe further up. Ok! -

A zoom call! Yes of course.! It doesn’t change a thing even if YOU believe it. The time was limited and the football club (Bristol City) would have had to approve it. Unlikely with an 19 year old under any circumstance unless an agreement was close/imminent. I absolutely believe (the club board and manager) doesnt want to sell hence the 25m price tag that no one it appears has got in the ball park for. Pearson has stated he expected/expects the player to be here next season (I guess unless 25m is met) and Mr Lansdown has stated he doesn’t want to or have to sell on more than one occasion publicly. Yes they could be telling porkies and are prepared to let the player go for a lot less, but the evidence of press outlets constantly stating clubs like Wolves Spurs and Brighton think the price is too high is everywhere The evidence is absolutely clear pay the fee demanded as we don’t want to sell or have to sell and won’t sell unless it’s met! Thats what I believe. Hope that helps. EXACTLY. THANK YOU!
