  1. I never/rarely do. We have a little what’s app group for match days. The match day threads after @BigTone condensed @Jerseybean can be a little nauseating!
  2. Yes agree with this too. However I think that is changing. You only have to look at Kelly Webster Brownhill even Ayling. Add Scott in Conway Pring and now allegedly Vyner and the hard work of Timion and his staff will get recognized If it doesn’t. So much the better.
  3. Yes I have thought that for quite sometime. In Scotts case if he stays injury free it’s only a matter of time that someone pays, IMO.
  4. I hate July! Pointless arguments everywhere. England U 21s are winning mind!
  5. Some players do, under some circumstances. A 19 year old with two years on his contract, not so much. But if you want to believe that tripe further up. Ok!
  6. A zoom call! Yes of course.! It doesn’t change a thing even if YOU believe it. The time was limited and the football club (Bristol City) would have had to approve it. Unlikely with an 19 year old under any circumstance unless an agreement was close/imminent. I absolutely believe (the club board and manager) doesnt want to sell hence the 25m price tag that no one it appears has got in the ball park for. Pearson has stated he expected/expects the player to be here next season (I guess unless 25m is met) and Mr Lansdown has stated he doesn’t want to or have to sell on more than one occasion publicly. Yes they could be telling porkies and are prepared to let the player go for a lot less, but the evidence of press outlets constantly stating clubs like Wolves Spurs and Brighton think the price is too high is everywhere The evidence is absolutely clear pay the fee demanded as we don’t want to sell or have to sell and won’t sell unless it’s met! Thats what I believe. Hope that helps. EXACTLY. THANK YOU!
  7. Christ there is some utter bullshit written on these blogs. If any meeting had taken place between WHU and Alex Scott “and his representatives” it certainly wasn’t this week. Has there been a moment when this could have happened? Yes,maybe, between the U20s and Scott’s return to the HPC, but unless the club were aware it simply wouldn’t have happened. Yes players and their representatives do sometimes meet clubs while negotiations are ongoing but Scott is 19 the thought there was a meeting that had a result anything like what the fat bloke says is completely unrealistic. The only thing I think about any of the hype is SL doesn’t want to sell and the idea of this constant theme that Bristol City are asking to much is designed to unsettle the kid.
  8. I posted for ages. Never in a bad way, but said a few things that no one wanted to hear.
  9. Love it there! Honeypot Honeypot off off off! You know if you know!
  10. A sensible poster on the Derby forum. Do they not call that an Oxymoron. Almost the perfect word minus the Oxy over there. Or Perhaps I’m just over sensitive to being banned!!
  11. We have sold 14500/15000 season tickets so far. The away end is a difficulty as it seems we are not in a position to sell any of those tickets to home supporters even if the end is semi full. So this means 19500 seats are unusable to potd sales assuming that no season ticket holder makes his seat available for the club to resell. It is very clear City are now first and foremost a business that provides entertainment and there are a large number of supporters that now see it like, that a product. attendance will be effected by competition even when season tickets are bought. Other things that play into are the “oh eff it I’ll stay at home” culture will be any amount of weather or a gazillion other issues like strikes etc. My point is Prem game on the Telly v other multiplicity of factors and some supporters will stay away. Gone are the days where the majority are hardened supporters and will always go. You only have to look around when the crowd is announced to see the ‘no shows’ at some games now. A Prem 5:30 KO can often be a factor.
  12. Thanks fella. Looks a very decent crowd of interested people. Cmon England!
  13. Bless you! City are trying to attract supporters that aren’t dyed in the wool, City till I die, EastEnders with rubber chicken legs. Some will have a decision to make! However if they have bought their season ticket they can go and do what they like
  14. A CEO is going to be involved in everything at any business on some level to be fair. But yes there are ‘internal ()’ pressures that may get in the way of operations. It often comes down to fine margins…If a decision is made to do something over a period of time, that is normal business operations. Accelerating these decisions for individual and/or group benefit is almost impossible to establish. However it happens all the time. Im not sure what Mr Ashton may or may not have done, however the man makes my flesh crawl. Nevertheless he’s not unique and I’m going to guess he has garnered enough experience to continue to do well for himself. I read some of the article up the page and it certainly made me feel he was dealing with a different set of circumstances than he was here. The Americans will see him for what he is, but use that to their advantage regardless of their knowledge of 442 etc etc etc!
  15. There is sense in this. I’ve had a subscription since day one on auto renewal. Last season I had to have a moan to get the friendlies.
  16. Yes Bolaise was a happy freak. Sell ons are always there now. But the fee and the sell on clauses will be negotiated simultaneously. The biggest issue is a clause over a new contract. Ala the ones you mentioned.
  17. I have the white one signed by the Cheese Brian Drysdale, Clive Whitehead, Donnie and Gerry Gow. (Framed of course) I have a Purple n Lime one from Liverpool 92. I’ve given two or three away over the years but I’ll probably get cremated in both of them. ?
  18. So I guess Kalas could well be at training regardless of his intentions.
  19. I thought contracts ran to the end of June? But not really sure.
  20. Money has only just started to move courtesy of The Saudis. Once some really big deals get done then we will see, who has the real interest. I pretty sure there are a couple of clubs that haven’t been talked about in the press watching to see who makes a move. Who on earth predicted the European cup finalists as a possible destination?
  21. I was at that one. My old man didn’t like his uncle much who lived in Oxford and he dropped heavy hints he wanted to go when we dropped ma off. Not a chance in hell.! I lived in Headington for a while subsequently (Hence REDOXO) so know the Manor Well. the two games that stand out were the effing fog game. Also one where I gave Wayne abuse up until he scored and a whole section of people were falling about as I lead an Ohhh Wayney Wayney!
  22. A couple of Thrupney Bits on Bristol City for promotion! Gotta be a winner! Anything else will go tits up for sure!
