  1. I should no better than saying this, but Watford have been dreadful. They’ve barely been near our box
  2. You can’t put your foot that high and expect to get away with it, don’t even need to make contact for it to be reckless
  3. That seems as stone wall as any decision we should have had
  4. Mad that it keeps getting said, it’s not on the line. He won’t be sacked if we lose today
  5. Yes but we’re in different positions, owners, tolerance levels etc. it’s no comparison

    Watford fans

It’s not though, I’ve seen similar posted almost every time the knives have been out for a manager.
  7. Define accurate? Iran have only lost 2 games since 2019, they're no mugs (although I imagine like our qualifying, it's arguable what the quality of opposition is, I note they won one game 14-0!) The problem is teams don't play enough across continents for the rankings to have a purpose when comparing say Iran to Italy (who sit in 6th). He is no way "often poor" for Everton
  8. I agree, been to many a festival and don't think I've ever seen any trouble - not saying it doesn't happen obviously, but there's 1000s of people often a few entitled ones trying to get to the front and pushing past etc but very rarely any trouble from it. That's in an environment rife with drugs, almost everyone. There's something about having an "enemy" too. These lads will hate the person sat the other side of the netting for no reason other than the colour of their shirt. It's a culture issue and it's a bit pathetic
  9. I thought Walker was injured and likely to miss the tournament so i didn't include him, otherwise just Trent in for Tomori from my guess Gallagher (forgot about him, wasnt on the squad selector I used!) instead of Ruben-Cheek No Sancho or Bowen, Wilson & Rashford instead Don't think there's any real suprises there based on the last few team selections. It's hardly awe-inspiring, but then we've not left out any shockers IMO just unproven hopefuls. This was the World Cup that the FA targeted to win. Lets hope he pulls the handbrake off
  10. I'd normally question such an attitude, but I fear for this one. It's outside of Europe, climate will play it's part and give Iran a hope. They got a good result against uruguay, they aren't to be taken lightly USA reminds me of 2010? The Rob Green clanger. If we go into the Wales game needing a result anything could happen. It's by no means a certainty. No, we don't. We have the toughest by rankings
  11. Problem is that International football is very different You have to find a balance, it's ok picking players on form for their club - confidence is a big thing and if players are playing well then that should be a boost for them However, you also need players who are "in-form" for England. The Pope / Pickford is a prime example. Pope was poor when called up despite his club performances. Pickford has very rarely let England down and would be my number 1 until such point he does. Ramsdale probably a little unlucky not to get game time last month. I can't believe Toney wasn't given any minutes in the Nations League games. I can only think Gareth didn't see enough of him from training but still, they were pratically dead rubber games. I really can't pick a team / system at the moment, partly because I don't think even GS seems to know his strongest setup. I'm sure I'll be more excited next weekend but at the minute I've got 2010/2012 levels of concern as opposed to the excitement of 2018/2020(1) Not helped by some key players missing or doubtful over injury I guess my squad would be something like: Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale Shaw, Stones, White, Maguire, Dier, Trippier, Coady, Tomori Madison, Rice, Bellingham, Henderson, Mount, Phillips, Grealish, Loftus Cheek Kane, Sterling, Bowen, Foden, Saka, Toney, Sancho It looks very weak in the wing back areas if we're playing that system Pickford Trippier, White, Stones, Maguire, Shaw Rice, Bellingham Foden Kane Sterling Or 4 at the back Pickford Trippier, Stones, Maguire, Shaw Rice, Bellingham Saka Foden Sterling Kane
  12. I don't know where this is coming from, I understand the upset at the results (and more importantly some of the performances) but I don't see any inclination that Pearson's on the edge of being sacked. I'd be shocked and disappointed if he was sacked this weekend.
  13. Hahahah didn’t take long @IAmNickcan you get enough popcorn for the rest of us?
  14. Wtf has he not played that straight out to the right?
  15. Is there really no stream anywhere? How do they get their goal highlights if it's not being captured somehow Also what's the point of a Cup that no one can watch? Aren't they shooting themselves in the foot with TV rights?
  16. It's Wimbledon v Bradford and the number 7 you might recognise, Sean Scannell, was at Palace in the Warnock / play off final years
  17. They are accountable for their performances though, they are reviewed and demoted eg Kevin Friend

    FA Cup 22-23

Haven’t seen it unfortunately, was playing (hanging on by a thread ?). I’ve felt he’s improved as the seasons gone on though, not so good today?

    FA Cup 22-23

So happy for my old club, fantastic result. I was hoping for a draw so I could go watch the replay - will have to make do with the second round
  20. Well that’s wrong, referees get demoted down the leagues.
  21. No it wasn’t, Williams only came on in the 80th minute. Egans yellow was 81 so that’s when it happened
