  1. Didn’t mean to suggest they are all because of their FAs, I gave two examples Italy and Germany, and then other nations that wear colours different to their flag
  2. Really? Italy for one. Several teams wear colours different to their flag… Italy, Germany (both colours of their FA), Netherlands, Japan, Australia, New Zealand
  3. Everyone does it at some point, we can’t really start saying the fixtures are unfair
  4. Yea agreed I said that Wednesday, so good and so bad in almost equal measures!
  5. I’ve been fairly reserved in my criticism of our defending as a hole because it’s mostly been individual errors but that was collectively poor
  6. That’s the worst one yet, like the parting of the Red Sea ffs ?
  7. I saw a comment after that suggested this, was there a reason? That’s really poor.
  8. That game was over after 20 mins at 2-0 in any of the last 4/5 seasons, as you say it doesn’t feel like that any more
  9. we got away with one too if I recall, certainly not a stone wall but close enough to suggest your statement isnt quite true
  10. Wells was fouled and then kinda kicked out / rolled over, looked like he kicked the Norwich player in the head which is why he stayed down and Norwich were booing.
  11. No I think he was going to give it and waited for play to develop first, good refereeing
  12. It’s said every 2 years when an international kit is released. Shirt colours are reflective of the FA colours, not the flag. I think the reds beautiful, early 90s vibes, but not sure about red shorts! Germany home is different. Denmark’s very nice.
  13. I don’t get to see us often, so I drag myself to any game I can - whether that’s with 40k at Wembley or 90 at Hull. I’ll go regardless of how we’re playing because I love watching City. That said I haven’t been as excited to go watch City as I was for Blackpool and Norwich for a long time. Perhaps 17/18 up until Sunderland, or the play off season (though I often found that nervy rather than exciting). Obviously the title winning season was great but I expected us to win every week. This is excitement and hope. And if we don’t win, I still feel I got my money’s worth and watched 11-16 players really give their all. If we can just shore up the back, there’s something happening here. It’s a good time to be a City fan after the last few years and I’ve got a couple of non-city mates keen to come watch us, that says a lot!
  14. A tad harsh, first goal maybe. There was definitely hesitancy but once out of his box / on the edge what can he do? Second was a deflection off Vyner else he saves it. He also made an outstanding 1 on 1 save later on and denied Pukki the hat trick with his face. Not his best game but certainly not his worst. Didn’t have much else to do.
  15. I understand your view, and many will agree, I just see his style of play as pivotal to how we get on the front foot rather than giving away possesion. I agree it’s too many mistakes though, it needs to tighten up. I’ll also add, I can’t excuse the one against Blackpool. Very poor pass to Vyner and to try and do that with the outside of the foot at that stage of the game was criminal. That’s one where perhaps you could say it should have just gone long into a channel. Second goal I’ve got a bit of sympathy watching it back, Atkinson was t really on, he could have turned and gone back to Bentley but again his passing through the lines gets us forward. If the pass had made it, we’ve got past their press - and more often than not the passing did make it.
  16. Disagree. it’s not about knowing when to “boot it”. If he’d got his touch right for the first one (as he did several times after) it would have looked world class. He’s capable of it so it’s not out of his wheel house to try it. His ability and composure (meaning we don’t just “boot it” like we used to) is what develops our play and puts us on the front foot. What he needs to do is work on his concentration and make sure he actually gets the ball and doesn’t miss it!
  17. Vyner offers nowhere near as much as Naismith though, that’s the only reason Kal is getting off lightly from some. 4/5 times he calmly brought a ball down, or otherwise kept possesion that others would have smacked into the crowd or worse and Norwich were straight back on the back foot. He’s so good but also far too mistake prone at the moment.
  18. This seems a logical suggestion He’s also a ball player who makes brave passes - some will argue they shouldn’t be played from the back but he starts attacks and beats the press. Compare him to Vyner who is Mr Safety but only really passes to Sykes or backwards. He needs to cut out the mistakes though, no excuse for the first one certainly.
  19. Not sure you can call them gilt edged. Certainly not Dasilvas but it is a great block from the defender
  20. Absolutely, It’s all us. 2 mistakes is all they’ve had, unfortunately that’s the quality Norwich possess.
  21. All the talk was about us potentially countering them… it’s been the other way around. Just soak it up, wait for the inevitable mistake and in they go
  22. That or - M4 A420 M40 A421 A428 A14 A11. Same kinda time
