  1. Of course, I was being facetious I do understand. I seen the videos of the concourses at Wembley... there was no safe space. Although at Wembley for the FA Cup final and only 20k people in that huge stadium was very pleasant, but probably not want many people want from a football experience (myself included) One opinion is backed up by science, kinda helps
  2. I think many of us could have guessed that, general sources of information being very similar for both.
  3. I've had 1 jab, shared a car with 2 people and only 1 of them caught it. Anecdotally that 50% is spot on ?
  4. At risk of starting / continuing another debate, that seems mental giving the current climate I wonder how many people will stay away because they wont feel safe? You can say what you want about the vaccines, yes they are preventing deaths and thats great but it can still make you quite ill and it's a bit unpleasant - plus then taking that back to your partner / family and knock on effects. Of course it's difficult to insist on vaccine passport as not everyone has had the jab, and there's no legal requirement to do so. I'd have thought a negative test at least (even if that can be manipulated)
  5. Why wouldn't you want the app? Interesting article today, albeit sportsbible so hardly a top level source: https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-premier-league-players-and-staff-will-have-to-get-covid-vaccinations-20210722 Vaccines mandatory for Premier League players and staff. At least we know we wont be losing Wells to a Prem club this window!
  6. That is a fair point tbh. Having a fully vaccinated crowd doesn't mean half of them dont have the virus, I guess it's just that if anyone did have it the symptoms would be less noticable, the viral load they are spreading is greatly reduced etc. its a lower risk
  7. The vaccine risk is still much lower than the risk from Covid, that's the whole basis upon which a vaccine is approved for use. You have to apply logic and take the emotion out of it IMO. I'm not one for refusing treatment to someone, but what happens if someone who never wanted the vaccine gets ill and spreads it around to several other people who despite being vaxxed are not 100% protected? Who's rights should be protected more? it's a tough question. I've stayed away from the children debate, luckily I dont have to worry about it personally and I can understand concerns on both sides of the debate, though i believe the risk from the vaccine still outweighs the risk from the virus.
  8. Sorry but even "young and healthy" can get seriously ill from Covid and suffer long term effects, the risk of that is still higher than the risk of any vaccine side affects. That's not to downplay anyones concerns about the vaccine but it really is a numbers game and weighing up risk. Yep this is true. And honestly, how many people would have missed England in a major final if they tested positive? Even if showing symptoms? Im sceptical. Everyone i know who went to Wembley (including myself and a friend who went to London for the Germany game) have had Covid. I know about 10 or so people who went and the Mrs knows a few through work (works in London) who watched the games in London who all ended up with Covid. Very anecdotal I know, so not a scientific study at all but I think it's obvious many people travelled to London with Covid.
  9. This is very anecdotal, and based on a handful of people I know that went to the semis and / or final. Every single one of them has had covid since. I’m sure a few people will be along to tell us that stadiums and sports events are perfectly safe because of the protocols in place
  10. Apologies, I’d forgotten about this. Happy to make that donation @winsaw?
  11. Well, fast food (as per anything) is fine in moderation so I don’t hate on them. that’s still someone’s business and more importantly there were people in the restaurant at the time the fire happened.
  12. Not sure that's a laughing matter though really
  13. That’s a positive update, I feared the worst seeing this thread come back up What a brave little boy!
  14. It's probably unsubstantiated rumours then, something I didn't think you participated in ?
  15. Don't remember seeing that transfer news on the OS?
  16. We’ve been in the top league, football didn’t start in 93. Anyway that was a fantastic 20 page read to catch up. What a night! Swindon next plesse
  17. Got a point with the underlined bit mind
  18. Had the pleasure of playing against him, he's an absolute cock
  19. Already being discussed in the rovers thread. id rather he stayed, he’s useless
  20. How long since they were last above us? What league are we in? Absolutely in a position to mock
  21. That would be Granada ?
  22. Not sure I see the problem, surely we all want to see the Euro's hosted here (or as much as possible). From what I've heard from people in a position that may know, there's still a very real chance of the Euro's being hosted entirely here (and that particular company are planning for this). To do so, we'll need to have conducted trial events and assessed the risk
  23. What a pass that is! I disagree. Not City of course, but I've watched a Womens youth England game at St Georges Park with my football team (and I've played at a decent semi pro level myself recently) and we all commented on how much better they actually are when you watch in person. It was a bit odd, but they zip the ball around and it's one-two touch and gone. Obviously not every player/team is that good, but I'd say the decent womens time would outplay a Toolstation mens team. The men would have the physicality but that only counts if you get near them. I dont think its a fair comparison to compare the mens teams to the womens, its just unnecessary but they're better than you'd think. They're also far fitter and more athletic than most toolstation players. It's been discussed though hasn't it, women are on average about 6 inches shorter than men though as someone else said Men have grown since the goals were created so maybe its the men's that need to be bigger
  24. Do they still have the terrace? I can remember one of our last trips there going 2-0 up and hanging on for dear life? Was there a red card or two, or one of our players stretchered off, got a bit nasty from what I remember? This is where they've tied themselves up a bit. They said it would be data driven not date - then preceeded to set a number of dates for each phase! By then most "normal" things will be happening, you'll be able to meet upto 29 other people, go to the pub, gather at a house etc the main things left will be the big events. That will depend on testing. There's a big leap from where we'll be at the end of May to suddenly having 90k people in a field for 4 days or 90k at Wembley (we all know what its like cramming on the tube etc round there!) I think that stage of it will depend on trials and may have to wait, but I can see everything else being pretty "normal" by then with the rate of the numbers The actual wording was no earlier - but the same thing: Step 4 - not before 21 June Social contact By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact.
  25. Agent Little taking them down from the inside. I saw on Twitter someone ask him when he'll be fit and he replied he's been fit since November... guessing there's some falling out gone on in the camp then Also they didnt like him laughing at a pisstaking photo a city fan sent him
