It’s reckoned that 90% of UK adults have a smartphone. And 95% of those are used daily. So I really don’t know why you’d think that 25% of City fans won’t have one. When we had those few games of having to show a covid pass to get into the ground, every single person I saw showing theirs was doing so on their phone.

It’s probably more efficient than effectively running two systems for everyone, which is what would happen if they made it a choice. I think you overestimate the number of people who won’t be able to manage this.

I know that’s not going to be popular with us fans, but from the club’s perspective it’s got to be a big plus, hasn’t it? They’re not supposed to be transferable, so it’s not like we’re being prevented from doing something we’d otherwise be able to (legitimately) do.

WBA, Coventry and Birmingham all have less travelling than Stoke. Probably because of each other! Watford and Blackpool seem to be the closest to the average.

True, but only up to a point. The final column looks at that. Sunderland and Middlesbrough, with 35% and 19% more miles to travel than the average make up two out of the top 3! I was surprised we’re only 9% higher than the average for the division.

Not football, but I had a look the other day at prices for a performance at La Scala opera house in Milan. There are seats there with no view of the stage at all! And they cost €110 too!!

Given the hapless way that the club manage any formal mark of respect nowadays, that’s probably just as well. Agree with you though.

I hope you’re right! As @mozo has commented on another thread, we’ll probably hit 5 past someone! I’ve said elsewhere that I think Wells and Conway benefitted from playing together regularly last season in the U23s, and have an understanding that currently Bell, Mehmeti, Wells, Cornick (not surprisingly) don’t have. That’s when I hope it will come.
