  1. The club has history of this. Several years ago, before the redevelopment  of AG, we used to have a vending machine in the old Williams stand which sold bottles of coke etc. Then there was a clampdown on bottles at the concessions and they had to have their tops removed , and the next game the vending machine had a sign on it saying "out of order". I thought then, and I think now they were lying to us.

From the QPR site: "The club would like to thank the EFL and Norwich City for accommodating our request for the tie to be played a week later than all other first round matches.

This request was made in order to provide additional time for our pitch to settle following extensive works during the close season."

Are they moving the goal forward so it can be seen from the upper tier?

  3. On a different point, how strict is the stewarding on getting into S82 these days? I sit in S23 and just before kick off three teenage girls came up and sat by me. Soon they were on their phones and waving to mates in S82.

Then they left and were next seen walking up the steps to S82 to be with friends when they obviously shouldnt have.

    Random point.

I've notice that in this tournament, all teams have been placing the ball in the quadrant when taking corners. Not with just a millimetre of the ball on the line as the men do.

Ask S82, they're the experts on this apparently.

    One other observation.

The clock is now supposed to show the actual time, the clock the scoreboard, whatever.

It stopped at 90 I think and at 45.

Further, they seemed to be showing the game on the big screen??

Which I think is the most pointless thing ever. Who is going to go to a live match and with it happening directly in front of you in glorious technicolour, is going to watch a piddly little picture on a blurred screen located at a 90 degree angle to your head.

  6. Two things. Part way through the 9th minute applause Nahki Wells had a good scoring chance, which resulted in the clap obviously stopping , then spluttering up again.

Secondly, after the applause before the game when Chris's highlights were shown, plus the official minutes applause at kick off, maybe many thought the third applause to be unnecessary.  Just maybe.

Assuming I'm missing a joke here. But just to be clear Climate change causes erratic weather changes, including storms. It affects the intensity and frequency of precipitation. Warmer oceans increase the amount of water that evaporates into the air. When more moisture-laden air moves over land or converges into a storm system, it can produce more intense precipitation—for example, heavier rain.

    Thankyou Greta.

It's a dreadful badge. The owl with those weird elongated eyes looks hideous.

The team they're playing tonight on the other hand, have a bona fide classic badge (and I hate them, so certainly no bias on my part).

Interesting you bring up Wednesday badges though, I hadn't realised how similar a design our current shit robin is to their previous owl badge!

Looks to me like it must have provided inspiration for our new badge.

I really like the eyes though. Just think its a classic club badge.

Jonathan at his best never missing an opportunity to remind everyone that Bristol City are back in the WSL. He's now even suggesting players and that City should look at New Zealand's Jacqui Hand who plays for Aland in the Finnish league.

I wonder if fans of other clubs pick up on the fact the JP always get City mentions in?

I'd love to thank all of those that have offered the code on this topic and on message. I managed to get my tickets yesterday and I have a very very excited 11yr old daughter who's absolutely buzzing for her first match at Ashton Gate. Thanks again guys and girls.

At that age it is exciting, but in the end its the hope that kills you.

  11. Apparently there was an incident in the SC shop in the week where a supporter came in to buy an amount of merchandise, and not realising it was a cashless outlet demanded to pay in cash, which is obviously legal tender. After being refused, he placed the correct amount on the counter and left with his purchase. The club are now looking to identify him and prosecute for theft.
I am no legal expert, however a comment from someone who is, states that once you have selected an item for purchase, you are indebted to the retailer for the correct amount which you are legally entitled to pay for with the currency of the crown, thereby making theft not an option for SC. I do feel a bit sorry for him, one minute he was being compared to Bobby Moore, and as far as I can remember within two weeks he was loaned to Southend, talk about mixed messages!

Compared to Bobby Moore, performed like Dudley Moore. Good lyck to him though.
