Can I have your thoughts on what you would like to see at the fair DVD's and videos  Subbuteo panini stickers etc

Would you like a stall(not guarenteed)

Its free entry and FREE tea and coffee

John , I have a huge collection of programmes dating back to 1970 with almost as many away ones as home. I am pretty much ready to part with them , however back in the day I used to write the team changes in the programme. Would this type of fair be the place to sell them at say 50 each or whatever. There are a couple of specials, for example signed by the team, and one from the 1950s, but they are just gathering dust in the loft.

The international fixtures have caused a good deal of discussion; Wiegman is one of several critics. It's worth noting there are a few missing from the squad as they are already injured (Walsh and England principally) and that is considered to be a result of excessive matches. After all it's only been less than a month since the World Cup Final.

One other note: there is an Olympic ticket on offer for this tournament.

Without wanting to sound "ist" of any kind, they did want equality.

For me the poison chalice is the "Fair Play" award, generally won by the team too weak and ineffectual to put in the crunching tackles and physical presence in the box and so finishing towards the bottom of the table.

I think we won it under Danny Wilson but that could be my putting two and two together and making five.

Didn't the Fair Play winners of the Prem get a place in Europe at one point?

Bentley hasn’t made it in the prem, he’s signed for a club in the premier league, he’s played two times since joining 8 months ago.

If he had made it, he’d be playing week in week out, the two games he has started he’s let in 3 goals.

Last bit is slightly unfair as one of those was at Old Trafford where he played an absolute blinder.

  5. An amazing fact is that M O'L is the joint 15th longest serving player at his current club, with 8 years and 66 days, in the entire EFL. Incredible when you think how many players there are in the League and how few games Max has actually played.

Given we nearly always play towards the Atyeo first half it may be more about our defensive abilities in the second. Need to be cautious about drawing conclusions when complex factors are at play.

Since the start of last season, including cup games and Norwich last night, we've conceded 34 goals at home... 12 of which were conceded in front of the South Stand, and 22 in front of the away fans (64%).   Would this be any different if we had home fans behind each goal?  I think so, it seems far to easy and common for away teams to score at that end of the ground.  I noticed Friday night that even clubs like Hull get this right, home fans behind each goal and away fans tucked away in the corner - the proper way of doing things (unlike Ashton Gate, where its the reverse)... Interestingly, Hull conceded 32 goals at home over the same period (two less than City), 17 at one end, 15 at the other!  A much more even split.

Move the away fans to the bottom right of the Lansdown, top right as well when its a large away following, and have City fans behind both goals.

Don't forget, the away team nearly always attack the Atyeo in the second half, and second halfs are generally longer than firsts, given the added time for subs etc. Add in that more goals are scored in the second half anyway and your figures are not really surprising.

Well we'll see I guess. And again I'll voice my idea to hold a few tickets back for fans that live local to each away game.

Bloody annoying when the game closest to your house ends up sold out to ST holders.

    We'll see though.

So people who move away and watch one or two games a season should get priority over some ST holders or members who go to pretty much every home game.

I agree. Best to regard the name Premier League as pure rebranding - so when they spout these facts, just regard it as since it was renamed and you’ll feel much better! It’s why I have no time for comments saying we’ve never been in the Premier League.

In exactly the same way as we have never won the Papa Johns Trophy,

The midfield is a big problem at the moment. We are pedestrian and so easy to play through. Williams, James and King are literally the same player. No ball winners, sideways or backward passing.

I haven’t got a problem with BCFC using the “Brentford style” of selling our best players for a good price, but the bit SL has forgotten is when they sold Ollie Watkins they bought in Ivan Toney from Peterborough to replace him. You can’t sale a player of the quality of Alex Scott and not replace him. I think watching Sykes playing as a number 10 last night shows the issue we have. We are completely toothless going forward.

Heard an interview with the Brighton CEO recently about how they ran their club. He said that they buy players cheaply, with the intention of making them far better and selling for a huge profit, BUT, they recognise this will take at least two transfer windows and so they replace their better players two windows ahead of them leaving. It makes it a seamless transition.

Has there ever been an answer as to why the Atyeo could not have a small section allocated to home fans? Capacity is 4,200 so with 3,000 for away fans that leaves just under 1,000 for home supporters. The barriers at the front might need an upgrade and the concourse split, but it’s not impossible.

What I fail to understand is why anyone would choose to sit / stand in one corner of the Atyeo, UNLESS it was goad and antagonise away supporters. This, is reason enough to not allow it.

  12. After the Ashton Gate 8 period, Chris and Geoff Merrick went to play in Hong Kong together, and were housed in an apartment about 8 stories up. If you read Geoff Merrick's autobiography, he tells the story of how one night Garland wanted to go out on the town but Merrick didn't so off Chris went, forgetting his front door key, so after Geoff had gone to bed, he heard a knocking on the window. Chris had climbed the 8 stories up to the room to be let in, but couldn't as there were bars on the window. He had to go all the way down again, with Chinese voices shouting at him. R.I.P to  City legend.

They’re probably just waiting for the final sign off on any of the Section 106’s before they get started. The Secretary of State had to look at it I believe.

Section 106. Do they sing in there?
