Early odds from BetVictor:

At the time of posting Steve Cotterill is the 4-1 favourite, with Nathan Jones and Frank Lampard joint second favourites at 6-1. No doubt these odds will change over the coming hours and days.
Got to laugh at those odds for Cotts. I have more chance!!

Luke Williams
That would make a lot of sense...
Another one like LJ told to go away and get some lower league managerial experience. Known to Tinnion as well.

Will always remember us winning at Stoke a few years back and their crowd serenading him with "Gary Rowett, your football is shit". Think they sacked him shortly afterwards.
Millwall fans sang this as well.

Lots of new posters on here all of a sudden. I smell Bristol Sport...

Is my mind playing tricks on me, or didn’t Steve Phillips have 5T0PPA as his number plate? I know he frequents this forum under a nom de plume, so maybe the bitter Paulton resident could confirm or deny?
He did but he has never lived in Paulton.

Zak not involved tomorrow then. He is in the robins TV studio.

Nige said in his press conference that he was hopeful he could be available next weekend, it seems unlikely he’d be involved tomorrow but we are struggling for numbers. Sort who would play if asked.
Rob Atkinson is likely to feature for the 21s very soon too, if we can just get through to the next international break picking up some more points then reinforcements are coming.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Zak involved tomorrow personally.

Why? He’s likely to miss a couple of games only according to Nige on Saturday.
This is a player who has started pretty much every league game this season, and overall / generally has been pretty decent. He got injured in training, imagine giving that as the reason for trying to relieve him of his contract!
Now, if you were to say that you don’t want to extend his time here, that’s different. But we aren’t gonna be paying off any senior players!
I think he was comparing the Williams situation with the Pearson situation Dave and some posters saying that is the reason to get rid of NP. Or I think he was.

For what it’s worth I can understand the club not offering him a new deal. He wanted 3 years and that is what he was given, has he justified an extra 1/2 years…? Probably, but it’s up for debate, the deal on Scott hasn’t helped either….lots of “rated” managers out there and available at the moment.
Are there any yes men in your list of "rated" managers ?

Nige was always a strange fit for Lansdown. Just what we needed but guaranteed to be plainspeaking and bound to ruffle the sensitive feathers of the owner.
I really feel for Nige. He's an outdoorsy guy that likes to hike and can't do that.
I was thinking yesterday that I could imagine Rowett being our next boss...
Rowett is not a yes man so don't think it will happen.

Unfortunately this is where I am currently. Been renewing for years now but my head is telling me that with SL in charge we will remain in mid-table obscurity for years whoever is the manager.
I love this club but I cannot keep shelling out so much money on tickets and merchandise when the hope for anything remotely resembling success has finally gone.
Steve with his arrogance will not care I (and hopefully many others) have not renewed but I will know I have shown my contempt for his running of my club and that will do for me until he is finally forced out and I can return
17 years now since we have finished top 6 in the championship - FOL’s
I haven't been since his infamous "it's my club and I will do what I want speech". That really grated with me and I took a stance then. This after being a regular for 46 years. When I was 16 which was in 1982 I was spending every single penny I earned on following City home and away and that speech of his really did anger me. I now follow the local non league scene where I know my money is greatly appreciated. I was at a local match recently where I met up with 3 other ex long standing season ticket holders and they all said the same that they would not return with SL at the helm. Bristol City is still in my blood and I follow as closely as I can but I will not return whilst SL is still the owner.

Rowett has gone by "mutual consent"

With the space behind the Italian defence I would have TAA in midfield rather than Phillips. His passing range would cause havoc.
