    Not Jones, though. Forget him.

    But the others have something intriguing about them that could fit at this club. Cotterill was not an inspiring signing, but he clicked with City. I could see any of the five I mentioned doing the same. It’s about providing an environment in which they can succeed and things clicking.

    I would be against Jones, as I can’t see him ever winning the fans over given his attitude and arrogance. Pulis 2.0

    Nigel Pearson, however, is a cut above all of them and a different class of manager. Sometimes, though, the fit and connection between manager, ownership, players and the fans is more important. Cotts and early GJ are the only ones I’ve seen truly achieve this, and they’re, with respect, not necessarily the best managers the world has ever seen.

    Don't think it will be any of those you mentioned.

    Rob Atkinson is likely to feature for the 21s very soon too, if we can just get through to the next international break picking up some more points then reinforcements are coming.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see Zak involved tomorrow personally.

    This is a player who has started pretty much every league game this season, and overall / generally has been pretty decent.  He got injured in training, imagine giving that as the reason for trying to relieve him of his contract! 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Now, if you were to say that you don’t want to extend his time here, that’s different.  But we aren’t gonna be paying off any senior players!

    I think he was comparing the Williams situation with the Pearson situation Dave and some posters saying that is the reason to get rid of NP. Or I think he was.

    I really feel for Nige. He's an outdoorsy guy that likes to hike and can't do that.

    I was thinking yesterday that I could imagine Rowett being our next boss...

    Rowett is not a yes man so don't think it will happen.

    17 years now since we have finished top 6 in the championship - FOL’s

     

    I haven't been since his infamous "it's my club and I will do what I want speech". That really grated with me and I took a stance then. This after being a regular for 46 years. When I was 16 which was in 1982 I was spending every single penny I earned on following City home and away and that speech of his really did anger me. I now follow the local non league scene where I know my money is greatly appreciated. I was at a local match recently where I met up with 3 other ex long standing season ticket holders and they all said the same that they would not return with SL at the helm. Bristol City is still in my blood and I follow as closely as I can but I will not return whilst SL is still the owner.
