Quite nasty and ridiculous approach by Bcc. We live equidistant between Bath and Bristol. The Bus Gate system designed to rip off the motorist and make travel difficult means that we will no longer spend our money in Bristol. The soulless shopping centres and miserable environment combined with its illogical approach to road systems is a deathknell for its commercial and trading centre. The stupid Cumberland Road isolation of Spike island and the confused traffic routes around Baldwin street are key examples of planning by dead heads.

Welvome to the city created by our inept, useless c*** of a mayor

Are they prepared to subsidise losses of £20m pa at a pretty average mid-table Championship club?

Great players like that will find it very difficult working with more ordinary players in the lower leagues.

    A disaster waiting to happen.

More people frightened of change! It's oh so easy to spread fear prior to something happening

Wonder if Wrexham fans felt the same with Hollywood actors taking them over while in the conference league? or Ipswich fans being taken over by the yanks? Lei ester being ran by Thai's plenty more success stories if you delve deeper, there's a ying for every Yang!

    Very disappointing tonight.
Cotts must be ripping his gelled hair out!
It was pretty much all Wrexham. Lots of the ball but very few clear cut chances as FGR defended brilliantly.
You can see that they are far better organised since Cotts arrived.
Defended superbly and then in the 93rd minute the keeper flaps at an easy cross and they get a penalty! Absolutely gutted.
But positive signs since Cotts got here

I went tonight as well mate, thought FGR striker who scored was a real handful and Keogh did all that was expected of him as well!

  4. I put this in the "Sid out" topic but may e should go in here

I'll be honest in that I'm not liking anything around our club at the moment, it's a circus ran by clowns, backstabbers and liars

    But ......

Yeboah was nowhere near the level of player we need at this present time (nor is Dire) but that's another argument!

He is just 17 years old, he was used by Nige as "needs must" during that horrific injury crisis, he can train here, play here in midweek matches and play for Bath on the weekend, I believe he could come on leaps and bounds for this loan

    Just been reading it, shocking!

I can understand loaning him out to get the game time, but equally, whilst he's still training with us on a day to day basis, why don't they keep him around the 1st team rather than drop him down?!

Management was clearly not his best position but his vast football experience and devotion to the club are worth a lot in my opinion. I also reckon that he is part of a management team that costs a lot less than previous iterations. If he continues to recruit well, then he is doing his job.  I very much doubt if he could sack someone like Nigel, but he would have been under some pressure from the bean counters to help to lower costs. After all it is a professional club.

Devotion to the club! Do me a favour

No other club would employ him is my guess, it's not as though his stock has ever been that high!

He's been handsomely rewarded for his time here, he wouldn't have come back from Spain otherwise.

All this great servant, devotion etc is bullshit! They are all very very well paid (some would say overpaid) for what they have achieved

Playing at the same level achieved against West Ham and Forest, the team might have been good enough for a promotion shot, but Manning has not been able to keep them performing at that level. Can and will are two different things.

So a pretty shit coach then and not all he's cracked up to be

So many of these threads begin with 'Posted Saturday 17.05' or similar.

I fully understand the frustration but I think LM deserves more time to work out how to get points out of a game, during the game, when we are being tactically out played.

So they've appointed a "forward thinking coach" who is tactically inept and we have to wait for him to get up to speed?

I’m probably going to get battered even more so than @RedM for this, but for me this thread pretty much sums up the negativity and the determination to find fault with anything Manning that’s so prevalent on here at the moment.

There are ups and downs, pros and cons, black and white and various shades of grey in any club and any season and especially when managers change.

Yet reading through the posts so far what stands out is the determination to attribute every single negative to Manning and every single positive to something or someone else.

Thats not being critical of your question, @Dredd. It’s a reasonable one. It’s more about what follows.

And, as a slight aside but another example of the negativity, @Merrick's Marvels - apart from the generic aspiration that any club in the Championship would have promotion as an ambition, who has ever said that promotion this season is or was our objective??

Get your head out the sand for Christ's sake

It was said in a few occasions by those at the top!

Every time we chop and change managers, we are left with a residue of the squad who do not fit in with the new plans.  The cost of carrying these players and changing them is exceptionally high, so it seems eminently sensible to have a strand of continuity in the management structure. Tins is that man. He may not get every decision right and others may not always agree with his opinions and he will never please all the people all the time.  That does not mean that he is not making a massive and valuable contribution to the football side of the club.

But this squad was supposed to be good enough for promotion this year according to junior and the snake, or do you conveniently forget they fed us that bullshit to fit your agenda?

Thats aside of the fact it's a foul too

    It's a pathetic decision

You would know more about that side of things than me, so fair enough, but I was fortunate to have a chat with someone at the club recently, who told me NP told JL he had no ambition, and there was no point him being there if he wasn't willing to back him.

That sounded to me, like he was making demands, and made his own bed.

Sounds to me like junior don't like the truth!

If visiting from the US he must have been pretty horrified by the overall experience. Apart from the actual game, they enjoy the social aspect at their sports - plenty of quality BBQ style food, good beer, a nice seat with a good view. See anything that might have been missing?

I refuse to believe any of this on the count you put quality food and good beer in a sentence with America in it!

I wonder if LM will try and get him into the match day squad soon and give him some game time before the end of the season?

With Bird & Stokes playing regularly whilst loaned back to the clubs we did the deals it would be strange if Murphy didn’t get any playing time

I am not aware of any injury?

He was signed predominantly for the academy at this time
