Because that’s my opinion. He needs a summer to bring in some of his own players etc. He’s trying to build something. I don’t expect you to agree with me and that’s fine.
We'll agree to differ then, no problem

Mother's day? Fer goodness sake, Pong, what is this - football, or flower arranging?
Going out for a meal with me mum appears a whole lot more interesting than attending the shite currently being served up as entertainment at the gate

I said to my fellow season ticket holders in the Jan window that Moore would have been a good option for us.
But clearly he had loftier ambitions than the lower half of the Champs.
Hes already weighed in with some important goals for Ipswich but having witnessed his abysmal performance at Portman Road on Tuesday night I’m not sure he’s what we need. He was very immobile and Zak and Rob D had no problems whatsoever negating him. I really thought he was poor. Again today he offered no threat vs Cardiff but it was a good strike.
So let's get this right, ...... He offered no threat? But scored
Now even without any tactical acumen or spreadsheets surely you can see ....

We could have made a play for him on loan financially, whether he would have seen us as the best bet or indeed whether he would have been stylistically the best bet is another debate.
Although quite what our defined style is atm is getting harder to pin down by the week. Again though would we pair him with Conway, would he be instead of?
He is on over double the wages of our highest earner!

The poster used the word education. At u18 players are educated. Educated with the intent players play for the XI. At the U18 stage you would expect to see synergy in the football from the U18 's to the XI.
Pleasing result. A difficult watch.
Thats probably articulated better than mine!

No, I just don't go around acting like I want to slit my wrists after the u18s get what was a good result for themselves.
Seriously, why do you 'support' the club, all you ever do is cry about something not being up to your impossibly high standards at every chance that you have.
No slitting wrists here
I follow my club as it's ingrained in me by my parents, that's why I was at Ipswich on Tuesday night!
I ain't gonna sugar coat anything though and it's not impossible standards, just standards

He’s been our manager for 4 months.
Results in that time certainly haven’t been great, so I don’t think how the under 18s play is really a big priority for him at present.
Fair comment

Certain people on this forum would complain if we won the champions league with the 'wrong type' of football.
Thats just utter bullshit
Happy clapper by any chance?

Serious question, do you really think tonight had anything to do with Manning?
Serious answer: if implementing a club wide playing philosophy do you think he should have? (If he never)

Its under 18's kids football for Christ sake, it's their football education, they should be playing properly not agricultural shit like they served up tonight

I went tonight expecting to see a good game of football, remember when Manning was appointed and we were told our club had an identity and all teams would play to reflect the style of football throughout the club? (Bullshit I know)
What I saw was akin to parks football

Yeboah didn't look out of place when he made a quite a few appearances for the first team via Pearsons reign. He was quick, direct and worked hard for the team and a pain for the opposition. In fact there was a buzz of expectation from the fans when he came on as sub.
I beg to differ he looked well out of place!

Is it whoosh ball if you're playing the balls with purpose? Swindon back line pretty slow in speed & on the turn so trying to spin the ball in behind for the pace of our front line to get onto. The game against Burnley was very different and a lot more technical so clearly was a tactic specially for Swindon.
It was predictable and boring

Thats a bit harsh. It was much more exciting than watching than the first team passing it sideways and backwards for 20 minutes.
It was shocking mate
Absolutely no need for any midfield
-
What a shocking game of football, whoosh ball from both teams, if that's the future it's grim.
Swindon 7 stood out.
Really disappointed leaving the stadium that was absolute dross

Nah, I said I’d bite the bullet now…in fact I said it should’ve been last Saturday!!!
I saw nothing in his head-coaching last night that altered my opinion that’s been building for many weeks. It’s a shame I feel this way.
However it changes nothing what I think. I’m sure he’ll be here in the summer. I don’t think we’ll go down, but last night is result reduced my confidence.
I’m amazed as the slack (not flak) he’s getting, especially the inconsistency from some.
One thing is for sure, for a club with shit comms generally, they are pretty good at standing-up a PR machine to push inaccurate narratives into the fanbase.
@REDOXO might be worth listening to the last 10 mins, after the game review finished.
I'm with you Dave, after meeting him yesterday the guy needs a personality implant, how he can motivate players is beyond me

Talking to a couple of Ipswich fans in the hotel bar this evening.
Just some context, in terms of their judgement: we asked what they thought of Mark Ashton: “t w a t”.
Then, can we have Wes Burns back. “Only if we can have Liam Manning back when McKenna gets poached”
Really? Yes: “you’ve got a top coach, one of the best……give him til this time next season and you’ll be glad you did…….best organised side here this season”
Just saying.
Unbelievable, we also spoke to various Ipswich fans in hotel and to a man they love Ashton, think he's a bit of a genius with the recruitment they've done,!

We were in same hotel as him and team, quoted to us, everything was ok 3 weeks ago!
