Yep, from pretty much the day he walked through the door, with the exception of the L1 promotion season various managers were constantly trying to upgrade on him. Apart from Maenpaa he saw them all off.
Niki Maenpaa is at Venezia and has played a few games in Serie A this season, although they've since signed Romero the ex-Man Utd keeper on a free so he's now back on the bench.
Good signing, always impressed me when I've seen him for Sale. And as the article mentions, with Sheedy likely to be away with Wales for big chunks of the season, we'll need a quality alternative.
It has to be. I know some people are desperate to claim that we've been crap all season, but it's in the last month or so that the performances and results have nosedived.
Dunno if you saw it but Cotts was interviewed before Shrewsbury's game yesterday and said that he still regularly feels fatigued nearly a year on, he was in bed at 8:30 the night before to make sure he had enough energy for the game.
Totally agree although it's been like this long before lockdown. The first time I really noticed it was during LJ's 8-game losing streak, people in a permanent state of hysterical outrage where answers are demanded but none of them are acceptable when they come.
I'd have more sympathy for the stick the OP is getting if they hadn't then said that they want the rumour of a departure for health reasons to be true because they want him sacked anyway.
Utterly disgraceful.
