He's been benched a few times and you know why he always gets his place back?
Because he's the better keeper and one of the best on the division
The stick he gets is unwarranted and is the same stick Heaton got when he was here,
It's hard to be a keeper at city when your defense is so shit
I think we are in agreement that he is our best keeper, so surely we wouldn’t let him run his contract down. If he doesn’t want to sign a new contract then we have to cash in.

Surely more likely Bentley is off as he only has 1 year left on his contract?
Exactly time to cash in, Bentley is an asset and was benched for a while last season also.

You can pretend we are in a dogfight if you want. I am losing patience with Pearson but I won’t pretend we are in a relegation battle just to strengthen a case for him to go. Seems a bit pathetic
If Reading win their remaining games and we don’t then likely we are down. Not really pathetic, just basic maths. The probability is very low, but there is still a chance so the season isn’t over for us yet.

750-1 on SkyBet if anyone is genuinely worried!
Can’t believe we can still go down ! This season isn’t over then, most thought it was over months ago but somehow we have slipped into a relegation dog fight as we can’t win a game. I can’t think of anything positive to say about Pearson right now, he’s not improved us at all this season, we are in exactly the same position as last season.

Perhaps without the pace of Vardy, which is why Vardy is good.

Just let this season end.
Wasn’t that the same thought process as last season also ?

Thought you were talking about the table position. Down to 19th now, where did we finish last season ?

You know if an unpopular man got the job and had done the exact same things as Pearson then people wouldn't be so positive about this season. I'm just treating Pearson the same as I would any manager. He's done a poor job so far imo.
Correct, no progress made since last season. We are in and around the same position, another poor season. Everyone wants Pearson to succeed here based on his historical achievements but isn’t working out at the moment.

What most people have said in answer to accusations that the vaccine is causing issues is that it’s much more likely covid is causing an increase in issues (if there is one) than the vaccine.
The only small caveat in that is we are only starting to hear about this now in 2021 (post-vaccine), I don't recall this ever being mentioned in 2020 (pre-vaccine) when football was still being played behind closed doors.

as many of the athletes in question have not even had the jab.
The topic is regarding Lee Burge who has had covid and the jab.

I dont think many people believe it’s a coincidence, but it’s highly likely COVID which he caught rather recently.
I think if you posted the same thing on the "covid" thread there would be a few on there suggesting it is purely a coincidence as they have done so in the past and comparing footballers deaths to previous years.
Lee Johnson is in the "game" so will have inside knowledge as to why some footballers are not taking the vaccine. I expect he will have heard personal stories that are not announced to the press,
Purely speculation but there might be an issue taking the vaccine if you then catch covid around the same time or vise versa. I am sure all possibilities are being looked into but I really can't see anything ever being announced if there ever was an issue with the vaccine, especially after most of us have already taken it.

Perhaps this clears it up before everyone says what a bellend he is ...

Try reading. “We don't exactly know what caused it, it is probably the Covid.”
Shit headline from the Daily Mail and the usual crowd using it as a chance to have a pop at LJ.
Probably shouldn’t have said exactly what he said but I presume he was asked a question rather than him just making a statement.
I assume all these heart issues are being investigated, but it looks like Covid is much more likely the cause. Covid has ruined my fitness, 6 months on and I still can’t train at over 75% of max heart rate without pain.
It’s one of three things, covid, the vaccine or as most would like to believe.. simply a coincidence.

What’s going on with Bentley? Is he injured or does he want out ?

Not sure if you saw this?
Four Lives was filmed in 2019 and due to be on screen much sooner but ended up being delayed due to an inquest into the four deaths and how they were handled.
The inquest only ended last month and concluded with the jury ruling that failings by the Met Police contributed to the deaths of Port's final three victims.
No I hadn’t see that, I saw there was a documentary on how the police handled it last night which I have recorded as well.

Not specific to Prime or Netflix but would recommend Four Lives with Stephen Merchant on BBC1, some really good acting and a true story - catch it all on IPlayer https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7428760/

Still does some dumb stuff, loses the ball in key areas. Got away with it at the end. Made a big difference going forward though.
Exactly my point on the match thread and someone said wtf am I talking about ... nobody is disputing he’s the best midfielder we have however he is a calamity at times when he could safely pass out of defence but opts to pass to an attacker free in the box from the opposite team (dumb stuff).

And that counter attack sums up Semenyo. Weimann tells him to hold his run to stay onside so that AS has a clear run in on goal. He doesn’t look, doesn’t get it, and gets flagged offside. That should be 4-2. Great opportunity spurned and AW rightly has a go at him.
I thought he was onside and just needed a quick pass which Weimann opted against and took the ball to the right, it’s about being clinical and passing it straight away.

Great player but always seems to have a mistake in him, explains why he’s playing in the championship.
