Great point, and the 8pm KO probably made catching buses or trains even more difficult with connections etc

The Dolman looked pretty full from what I could see, but I did pass my ST on to someone and they said there were quite a lot of empty seats near them.

I've seen this a few times. My ST ticket is as I said in the Dolman but if a workmate cannot attend I use their ST's and sit in the Lansdown. Often I have got to their seat and someone is sitting there, I advise them it's my seat and they move without problem (as they aren't meant to be there, and obviously don't want to draw attention to this). They often move a few seats or rows away until the same thing happens! I have seen stewards occasionally ask other people to leave the Lansdown stand and point to where they are meant to be, eg the SS or even the Dolman! But no, it's certainly not monitored very well.

I read on another thread about people saying we should limit the number of away fans, and replies were that the club wouldn't do this and turn down money. I had a better view from the Lansdown on Tuesday than I usually do from the Domain regarding the problem of empty seats. Yes it was half term, but I don't think this is too unusual. People would buy these seats if they weren't 'seatblocked' by ST holders. The first phot taken almost 5 mins into the game and the 2nd 10 or 15 mins after HT
  5. Yes, I was just about to comment how both teams were slipping a lot. I haven't noticed this quite so much before in any weather.
  6. I thought we more than matched them. I'm expecting them to go up a gear or two 2nd half, but they are no Leeds. They aren't on an unbeaten run for nothing though.
  7. We play on Tuesday so that's one day off limits for starters. I don't know if Bears or the women are playing but that's potentially another day if not two again off limits. I guess with the stadium being used more it's hard to fit tours in, also someone has to do the tour. I guess Jerry has his day to day work to do as he is an employee so he can't just drop everything to take multiple groups round on tours?
  8. This would be good. I'm sure people would be willing to pay/donate. I would.
  9. So I assume they can't be sin binned again later in the match, so what's next a yellow or a yellow tallying up to a red so they are off?
  10. What about if player A commits a foul on player B who then has to leave the field for treatment, then player A should leave the field too until player B returns or is subbed? That would be my new rule.
  11. Regarding City, I've been lucky enough to have been in our changing rooms etc and have seen a lot of behind the scenes stuff that is out of bounds. It is very interesting and surprising. I've also been in hospitality in the Lansdown and Heineken Lounges, and I think it's a real shame that some people haven't seen the facilities we have. I don't mean this in a 'look at me I've had hospo' sort of way, but I just remember how absolutely mind blown I was when I was shown these areas for the first time after the redevelopment. The attention to detail and quality rivals most hotels. Jerry does do occasional tours, but it's very ad hoc. If you got access to a child's football team, eg a parent or something you got a chance that way. Similarly I know he has taken overseas visitors or very ill people on a tour as a 'bucket list' request. But in general there is no paid for tour you can book online which is a shame. I'm hoping one day to see the HPC but that is very locked down but occasional tours happen there I believe. Like I said there are stadium tours occasionally, mainly in the school holidays. I don't know why the club thinks only kids are interested and excludes everyone else pretty much.
  12. I've done the Wembley tour twice. It's really good. The guides are excellent and it's very relaxed, plenty of time for photos etc and it was professionally done with just the right amount of facts without being boring or overly educational if you know what I mean. Sometimes certain areas maybe out of bounds due to events or work being done. The first tour the Royal box was, but when I went again a year or so later I got to lift a replica FA Cup I've also done the West Ham/London stadium tour a couple of years ago. That was really good too. I would like to do the Spurs one at some point. I'm not a fan, just like seeing new grounds.
  13. I don't know why the local news said 5k, I heard the reporter say that and wondered where they got that figure from. Our allocation was something like 2.2k wasn't it, less than half what they believed were there!
  14. Max was so convinced, he was ready to take a goal kick the radio said
  15. It is on Radio Bristol, they can broadcast it as the BBC have the FA Cup rights. At least we can listen

    Tins on RB

I'm losing track, but are these amongst the players Tinnion was raving about at the Hen and Chicken Q&A? Not the recent Q&A but the one with Pearson and Gould? Wasn't it something like "If you think Alex Scott is good just wait until you see what's coming along in the next batch"

Yes clubs always have to look ahead. (Not quite like F1 when drivers for 2025 have been signed before 2024 has even started). But I think the point that many fans are getting frustrated with is that our tomorrow never seems to come. We get good players but fail to be able to keep them, the pull of the Premier League is obviously too strong. But they also must believe that we aren't going there any time soon either.
  18. They apparently have only one official coach. I guess they must be a lot of private coaches from them or the usual train and car. I've never known a club to only have one coach though!
  19. Quoted as "being shut for some time".
  20. It's a bit unpredictable for sure. It's certainly a winnable game, but we've played them in recent years and they aren't an attractive Premier League side. I personally cannot go, even without extra time and traffic I don't see I would be getting home before 1am. I got to be at work at 6am, no chance of getting time off or swopping shifts as the rotas have been published and so set in stone as such. I can't be the only one working the next day in a job where there is no hiding or easy days?
  21. Home games yes, but Friday night games away are too difficult to get time off work for.
