  1. Absolutely. The club has had to survive with pretty much no income since March, these prices are not unreasonable & in light of a maximum 2,000 capacity make a lot of sense. ST holders like me are still being refunded every game, which must be costing the club a fortune.
  2. Ha ha! My old man, 80 in February & a City fan all his life, has lived in Kingswood since the 80s.. He did grow up in BS3, though ?
  3. Personally I am more than happy that large parts of Kingswood/Patchway are classified as outside of the city. As for Filton Avenue, that is the far North, all a bit too Gloucestershire/Gas for my liking.. No surprise it is in tier 3 then, (unhygienic lot).
  4. This seems to have completely passed me by, but just noticed they were in the first round of the FA Youth Cup in midweek (the competition that we won at Nottingham Forest in), the result was; Bristol Rovers 2 Camberley Town 3. ******* tinpot.
  5. Pretty sure he was subsequently interviewed by The Bountyhunter @Merrick's Marvels @Moments of Pleasure and after a spell in non league football he then worked as a travel agent, I think? Definitely never played league football for anyone else, though may have had a loan spell somewhere (Crewe?) whilst still with us?
  6. Spot on. Evil day all round, ref was as biased as I have ever seen, Nottinghamshire police in the miners strike era were total bastards and we were cheated. As others have said we had a massive away following, in those days Notts County were top flight & we were in Division 4, bit of a reversal of fortune these days.
  7. OP, never apologise. A great day, made all the sweeter by us being the clear underdogs. Everyone remembers Martyn Hirst’s goal but Tom Ritchie’s was absolutely brilliant.
  8. 100%. That was after years of being kicked off the pitch by them, enduring “will you ever beat the gas” & putting up with their third world facilities. **** them, they tried to steal Ashton Gate from us in ‘82, & they were the only sporting organisation in the area that wouldn’t support the city having a venue if we got the World Cup. Not only do I never want them to play us again, I hope they fold. Parasites.
  9. Injury time penalty, still he has got as many points in 1 game as Tisdale has in 3, & he’s just played a top ten side, Roverzz got theirs off of the bottom side’s U23 team..
  10. No penalty, no points. They are shit.
  11. Last time we played them they kicked Scott Murray out of the game in the first leg of the JPT, he didn’t play again for us that season. I can live without ever playing them again, myself.
  12. Totally. But without Kalas, Baker & Mawson, Holden doesn’t trust a Vyner/Moore 2 man central defensive pairing, which in the case of the latter, is probably just as well. The other problem is so far this season, for all the moaning by some on here, Wells is the only one of the 4 who looks like a consistent scorer, so he has to start & not out wide, either..
  13. Was always going to be the case we would be in Tier 3, our infection rate might be dropping but is still horrendous. By the way, 696 people died of Coronavirus yesterday in Britain, this whole “save Xmas” stuff is nauseating.
  14. Tonight’s result is about as bad as it gets. Wigan have no owner, no manager, have lost every player from last season (their top scorer Joe Garner walked out on them today to join a club in India) & are basically putting out their Under 23 side plus 3 players they have on loan. They are bottom & haven’t won since October 3rd, so Radio Bristol describe it as a “much improved performance”, FFS..
  15. Absolutely, there are 2 Wards (one of them in South Bristol) that are amongst the highest in England. Unless this alters drastically in the next fortnight this is completely academic for us.
  16. Seems highly unlikely that Tisdale will crawl up Keynsham High St so pissed that he can’t find the front door of his hotel to me..
  17. Seriously? He got found out twice at League One level & despite a brilliant Academy struggled to get Exeter out of League Two. He makes a lot of sense from Rovers perspective, out of work, experienced, said to still live in the area, but never in a million years is he going to be a viable candidate when our job comes up again.
  18. Yep, definitely going to be someone out of work & although I’m not sure he is still living in the area, he is from Bath, I think.
  19. Yep, we signed Cole in the same year they signed Tillson (‘92). We didn’t break our record again until we signed Akinbiyi in ‘98.
  20. Presumably this article is a product of the bloke who summarises on their games’ plea for more favourable coverage? No one takes greater delight in their failure than me, but to try & claim someone with one of the worst records in football management ever “laid foundations” might even shame Donald Trump. The previous guy’s last game in charge was a 2-1 win at Ipswich, they may have said his football was basic, but just like Warnock, (same style) it got them results. He left them in 4th place, just 2 points off automatic promotion after 19 games. How on earth can anyone claim their abysmal results since under that bluffer “laid foundations”? More North Korean reporting from their friends at The Post..
  21. To make you happy I’ll post something here that isn’t Rovers related. It is Nottingham (they never, ever shorten it to Notts, that’s County) Forest, not Forrest. Every football fan knows this. I should be surprised by your ignorance but on reflection, I’m not.
