Often for National League games they seem to arrange the outfield players completely randomly.

Put him on ignore, mate. Apart from when I have the misfortune to see posts when they’re quoted by others I find that it works a treat. Night & day.. Sam has been here since he was a kid & his Dad was in our side before he was even born. That’s why he cried, because he ******* cares about his club. Their collection of loan signings, has beens (& never weres) are only interested in their next contract, most of them won’t be there next season.

That would be the same player who by 21 has already made 65 appearances at a standard they haven’t played at in 30 years now. Nakhi is a smart footballer. I’ve noticed in recent games how he completely understands his game, he knows he’s never beating his CB opponent (who usually towers over him) in the air, so he jumps to make it as difficult as he can for him, backs in. Off the ball running & the space he creates for others is class too. When we first signed him I thought he was a bit of a sulker, questionable body language. I was wrong, he’s definitely a team man & I know his support in developing our young strikers (not only Tommy) has been really appreciated.

I can only guess that with the Baggies being ahead in injury time they were expected to hold on?

Think realistically that’s automatic promotion gone, but still battled their way to another point. Southampton are now unbeaten in their last 22 games but were booed off at HT today because they were losing, entitled or what?

Think Cotts might end up regretting saying yes. Didn’t expect much today but they took a hammering & are well adrift now.

Entitled to your view mate but a 19 year old with just one senior start ever (when he was taken off at HT) back in August, starting away at Boro would surprise me. Manning as much as said that his “minutes” will come from the bench, so I won’t be surprised if he gets on (especially if we’re chasing the game) but I doubt very much he’ll start today or Tuesday.

Be smart management to keep faith with him, he’s incredibly fit & at 21 you have the capacity to play again so soon. Looks like more options will be available next week so could get a breather then.

Sykes having been absent for just over a month you’d think would be back up to speed pretty quick. Atkinson has been out for a year, so understandable if it’s a bit longer & provided Zak & Rob Dickie stay fit, there’s no rush.

Are you seriously suggesting he would have chosen us over Ipswich who were second when he signed? James Piercy reported that we enquired (Cardiff did too) & he wasn’t remotely interested in joining us. This is fantasy stuff.

Think it is pretty clear there will be some changes in the goalkeeping department behind Max this summer. Harvey Wiles-Richards appears to have told people he’s being released, James Piercy hinted this week that Bajic will look to move on this summer. The surprising decision to offer a 26 year old lower league keeper in Lewis Thomas an 18 month contract has to be linked to this. The club clearly rate both Duncan & Casa-Grande so whether they are thinking about putting one on the bench next season knowing they have the insurance of a far more experienced number 3 keeper available is a possibility. Other alternative is we look to loan them out & bring someone in. Assuming Atkinson’s ACL issues are over & that we don’t loan Knight-Lebel out, I think we are ok at CB, Naismith another option too, if he stays for the final year of his contract.

I think what this season has shown is trying to run with the smallest senior squad in the division doesn’t work. With King clearly on his way (& his effectiveness as a squad option likely to decrease) then keeping one of Williams or James makes a lot of sense. Relying on Murphy or Stokes to make any sort of contribution seems a stretch & then if one of Bird, TGH or Knight are unavailable we’re short again. Personally I’m not bothered whether that is Williams or James but you don’t have to be a genius to work out that one of these two is clearly edging towards the out door.
