  1. Mentioned in the matchday thread this was being sung. Anyone there confirm this? How long/loud was it sung? Good to hear fans voicing their feelings, especially in the week season ticket prices were announced. SL, JL, BT and LM have been given far too easy a ride for me liking.
  2. My easy answer to this is I’m not going
  3. If you think the feeling towards the club are all based on West Brom then there isn’t really much to say… However, these are the teams BT and JL fully believe we are able to compete with, so no excuses!
  4. If this is what you base things on then I recommend not looking at the Swansea stats last week!
  5. Would still run rings around Manning in the coaching stakes
  6. All too familiar and predictable unfortunately. But all is not lost, we are in the U18 cup semi final
  7. 11.03.2024… At least date stamp the quote please!
  8. What a game that was. As critical as many of us are over Pearson sacking/Manning’s appointment, a few years ago Robins was heavily linked to us but was not a popular choice with fans. Am I right in thinking he was Lansdown’s preferred choice at the time?
  9. Some people play the system for sure. I have family members on benefits cus they chose not to work. There is absolutely on reason why they couldn’t. It isn’t fair to paint everyone in the same way. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to know who are genuine and who are taking the rest of us for a ride.
  10. We’d all be excited under the right guidance…
  11. I can only assume FIFA listened to Tinnion’s interview this week and realise the importance of winning an U18’s trophy.
  12. I went 6 years without a season ticket after my daughter was born. This season was my first one back. Been regretting since around November time and looking forward to not having one again next season. The amount of games I’ve gone to this season cus I feel I have to rather than want to, purely because it’s already paid for, is unreal. Would rather be £45 better off each month and spend it on the family, especially having the new born now.
  13. Then in simple terms, he isn’t learning!
  14. Tinnion has been praised a lot for his work in the youth set up. No one can deny that. You praise the good work when it’s done. The trouble is there has been nothing to praise since his little “I’ve been here 30 years so deserve this” promotion.
  15. Spot on, but unlike with Swansea, they need to be convincing wins. Scrapping to an undeserved 1-0 will not be good enough against these teams.
  16. Don’t want to turn it into one of those threads, but to me the atmosphere is as good as the performance. Look at West Ham games and Southampton for reference. Matches like Swansea are never going to have an atmosphere due to performance on the pitch. So to me, it’s irrelevant where they sit. Also, if you need a drum to create an atmosphere I would give it up completely.
  17. I have witnessed the good and the bad over the past 40 years, and I think this feels as bad as anything before. The togetherness under Pearson, coming through a tough few years but feeling like we were building something, to the shambles this club has become over the past few months is incomparable. Lie after lie, and the total disrespect showed by Tinnion to the fans recently has to be the final straw. They have made this an us vs them environment. Whatever happens over the next 12 months is purely the clubs own doing. I can only see it going one way and those at the top deserve what’s coming to them.
  18. This does beg the very relevant question of why have they chosen to plaster Tinnion’s face over the season ticket marketing? Manning obviously makes sense for obvious reasons, like what he is doing or not. But Tinnion??? It’s like they either haven’t heard anything of the discontent from the fans, or deliberately wanting to run our noses in it. I really can’t decide!
  19. I didn’t think you needed to pay to sit in the dugout Mr Hogg?
  20. You’re all getting mugged off with those increases, especially in the south stand. But, and I’ve said it a few times before, good luck to you if you see value in paying those prices for this brand of football under this leadership.
  21. Cheers. Am I mad thinking there were definitely rumours of a failed medical?
  22. The more you think about the pre season excuse, the more ridiculous it sounds. Doing a pre season which will then see him through to the end of the season, at which point he will go off and come back needing to do a pre season! Does anyone recall the real reason we didn’t sign him last summer? I thought it was due to a failed medical, but then he continued to play for St Pats for the remainder of their season? Presumably this could make any medical issue worse. But then who done the medical in January and gave the thumbs up? I don’t get why the club couldn’t say he arrived with an injury. We will work on that this season so that he comes back ready for next season.
