  1. Spot on, but unlike with Swansea, they need to be convincing wins. Scrapping to an undeserved 1-0 will not be good enough against these teams.
  2. Don’t want to turn it into one of those threads, but to me the atmosphere is as good as the performance. Look at West Ham games and Southampton for reference. Matches like Swansea are never going to have an atmosphere due to performance on the pitch. So to me, it’s irrelevant where they sit. Also, if you need a drum to create an atmosphere I would give it up completely.
  3. I have witnessed the good and the bad over the past 40 years, and I think this feels as bad as anything before. The togetherness under Pearson, coming through a tough few years but feeling like we were building something, to the shambles this club has become over the past few months is incomparable. Lie after lie, and the total disrespect showed by Tinnion to the fans recently has to be the final straw. They have made this an us vs them environment. Whatever happens over the next 12 months is purely the clubs own doing. I can only see it going one way and those at the top deserve what’s coming to them.
  4. This does beg the very relevant question of why have they chosen to plaster Tinnion’s face over the season ticket marketing? Manning obviously makes sense for obvious reasons, like what he is doing or not. But Tinnion??? It’s like they either haven’t heard anything of the discontent from the fans, or deliberately wanting to run our noses in it. I really can’t decide!
  5. I didn’t think you needed to pay to sit in the dugout Mr Hogg?
  6. You’re all getting mugged off with those increases, especially in the south stand. But, and I’ve said it a few times before, good luck to you if you see value in paying those prices for this brand of football under this leadership.
  7. Cheers. Am I mad thinking there were definitely rumours of a failed medical?
  8. The more you think about the pre season excuse, the more ridiculous it sounds. Doing a pre season which will then see him through to the end of the season, at which point he will go off and come back needing to do a pre season! Does anyone recall the real reason we didn’t sign him last summer? I thought it was due to a failed medical, but then he continued to play for St Pats for the remainder of their season? Presumably this could make any medical issue worse. But then who done the medical in January and gave the thumbs up? I don’t get why the club couldn’t say he arrived with an injury. We will work on that this season so that he comes back ready for next season.
  9. I agree 100%, this pre season excuse doesn’t make sense as to why he has not featured at any level. Much has been made of Tinnion’s comments recently and the plan for the U18’s. You would have thought Murphy could even slot straight into there for fitness levels, unless there is a rule stating otherwise?
  10. The easy answer is playing in the championship vs league 1. But I agree, been with us since January. If two months of a “pre season” isn’t even enough to make the bench for the U21’s, let alone the first team, then surely questions need to be asked. I would have thought 30 min cameos for the U21’s would do him the world of good.
  11. Regarding Seb PH, Semenyo showed it is doable. Not just to step up to the championship, but become a decent premier league player. It might be asking a lot, but they wouldn’t have given him a contract without thinking he was capable. Despite all his flaws we are now seeing, the one thing it is hard to criticise Tinnion for his development of young players.
  12. Having not listened and taking what has been summarised on here, it sounds like young players have been held back/not been given the opportunity with the first team based on the youth cup. If you think keeping Alex Scott in the U18’s 2/3 years ago would have been better for his development rather than being introduced to the first team, I have no words for you.
  13. What Tinnion failed to acknowledge was Pearson had us top 6 before a ball was even kicked this season! I was planning on listening to this predictable nonsense at some point but it’s been so well summarised by many on here I no longer have to put myself through it. Thanks anyone who took one for the team! Those of you who will continue to show blind faith in this shambles of a club, I hope you enjoy the ride. I’m getting off on this stop. Hoping to be back on when it passes back through, minus those pulling the strings currently. Any recommendations for proper local football to watch on Saturday afternoons?
  14. What do we think “Travis” motive is then? Fanboy of Manning, here to protect him at all cost? Former scared poster out for revenge? It is was this surely their knowledge of city would be better?
  15. I just find it interesting how vocal a new member can be in support of an underperforming manager, especially when they have supported the club for so long. Never during the good times of Cotterill, being one game away from the promised land under Gary Johnson, the tenure of Johnson Jnr. Yet now is the time to join and defend Manning who is clear doing a poor job so far.
  16. Funny you should say a better group of players in 22-23, seeing as our own board see the current squad as capable of achieving promotion
  17. Consistency is an issue, you are right about that. However, the issue under Manning is they are consistently crap! Exceptions being Watford away, Southampton home and a couple of cup games. In answer to the original question, fair targets for Manning, this is quite simple to me… play the type of football we were told to expect, whilst picking up points along the way. Show progression is being made, not regression. No one realistically expected promotion. That only came from the board. However, they will mostly be judge on this now, not necessarily Manning. If Manning is not delivering on this front, it is down to the board to act on this.
  18. Just out of interest, please don’t take this as judgement or criticism, what made you suddenly want to start engaging on this forum if you had supported City for that long?
  19. About 30 years and a majority of them have been much more enjoyable. We aren’t talking about one off games though, it’s the whole package. You never expect success with City, we know that. But a few hours every other Saturday has never felt as much of a chore as it doesn’t currently.
  20. Another example of a player who has regressed under the Manning regime…
  21. You said we didn’t allow them a shot on target. That’s completely different to allowing them a chance and them missing the target. You are suggesting we were throwing our bodies on the line the stop them having a chance which wasn’t the case!
