Bloody eck, the world's gone mad, all over a virus. Thought humans were made of sterner stuff!
The mortality and illness rate doesn't even seem that bad - what is causing such panic and unrest?

Am I the only person who couldn't give a crap about the virus? Honestly, people live and die, what's the big deal?
Saw a guy today wearing a face mask at school to collect his kids, almost laughed my socks off!!

As a species we're going to have to accept the existence of this virus and live with it, or cower and hide in fear. I don't see the point in stopping normal life and sporting events, it's going to ultimately spread around the world anyway - it's impossible to stop people from having contact with others and spreading the contagion.

YES COME ON, HOPE THIS WILL BE AN UNFORGETTABLE FIGHT!

Can't frikkin wait for this fight, hope it lasts at least 8 rounds, as I would not be shocked to see Wilder knock Tyson out in the first 3.
I've heard every interview this week and Fury is definitely going to try to KO Wilder, which could prove to be a massive mistake.
I believe Wilder is going to blast Tyson's head off of his shoulders.
Hope they don't try to arrange a third fight - there's no need for them to be greedy and chase the purse again, and it will only stall the other super fights in the division.
The winner has to fight against AJ - surely?

Someone should try to get this shown on the Ashton Gate sports bar.
-
I saw this on the BBC news just before going to bed last night and shed a tear at hearing his words on the plane, when he left a message to his dad saying he was scared.
Will forever be such a terribly sad situation.

Fantastic move by the club, I've often wished the woman's game would play matches at Ashton Gate.
I've never been to see them play before so will be going to this game and dragging my wife (who absolutely hates football of any gender) and our young daughter.
Come on City!

Something was not right the other night. I hope it comes out what exactly that was. Ruiz looks a decent basic boxer, but Joshua is either getting worse as he reaches his peak, or something was not right, cuz that was awful. I wouldn't say he has looked at all chinny so far in his career. He dealt with Povetkins huge left hooks, mainly riding them and taking power out of them, but also took one flush and was fine. The way he got from from the Wlad knockdown and came back was incredible. There was the Whyte massive left that he didn't go down from.
Yeah, he didn't seem right before the match, and was even late to the ring, so something was definitely wrong with him. It was quite strange during the round intervals that he was clearly asking his trainer, 'What he should do next, how Ruiz was going to fight, and why he felt in such a way?'

I watched the whole pay per view again last night and was awe-struck by the brutality of the Katie Taylor fight. Wow, those two ladies really tried to batter the crap out of each other. I have no idea how the human body can stand up to such a continued onslaught.
AJ looked even worse to me on the second showing. Wilder would have nothing to fear; I'd expect Dillian Whyte to now destroy him, should those two have a rematch.

The guy who told me is well into his boxing and I’m not so didn’t feel qualified to question his conspiracy theory. He did seem very enthused about it tho.
I can understand him sounding enthused, everyone loves telling and hearing the details of a good conspiracy theory. It does sound like a load of rubbish though, but entertaining.
AJ just isn't as good as the media make him seem.

Shocked by how poor Anthony Joshua looked. Something was clearly up, still no excuses for a terrible showing, but he was not right even upon entering the ring. He could barely keep his mouth guard still and looked disorientated. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he was ill with the flu or something, seemed to have breathing problems.
Someone was massaging his head and neck before the fight - perhaps had a migraine?

Shocking from Breazeale, he looked terrified throughout. You're not going to beat Deontay by standing in the pocket throwing nothing while you stop his shots with your chin.
Fair play to Wilder though, his power is real.
You're right, Joshua has a much stronger defence, whereas Brezale doesn't seem to have any defence; also, I can't believe how slow he is. I honestly don't know how Breazale is a professional boxer, appearing in world title fights. Apart from his size, he has nothing. He has zero talent, doesn't have the muscle I'd expect from a professional, serious athlete, and couldn't dodge any type of punch. That was easy work for Deontay. Wilder though, is exceptional and as you say, does have incredible power, and also speed. I appreciate the fact he is ripped with muscle, as it shows he trains like a beast and eats 100% correct for the sport.
I pray for the day Wilder v Joshua is finally made as a fight. In the meantime, would love to see Dillian have a shot against Deontay.

Wilder v Breezeale this weekend. Hope Wilder gets sparked out cold and the WBC cry salty tears all year.
Nooo, Joshua has to be the first one to knock him out!

I don't have Sky Sports, so looking for the alternative ways to watch Wilder v Breazale Sunday morning.
Will any Bristol venues be open at such an hour to show the fight? .

Don’t read the Cardiff City forum...
Many on there are celebrating not having to pay with thumbs up emojis and laughter...
That is horrendous, just confirming what we knew about the majority of their fans, no place for them in the English game.
-
And to add, I wouldn't be surprised if Warnock resigns in disgrace, as we all know, he was genuinely knocked for six by what happened.

I don't think this disgusting situation should be added to the Sala tribute thread - but BBC and Sky Sports now reporting Cardiff are trying to get out of paying Nantes the transfer fee, saying he was not a properly registered player.
Why else did he tragically lose his life, if not to play for Cardiff City?
If Cardiff are really trying to find a way not to pay the transfer fee, I find this revolting. Would confirm them as the most vile club in the world.
Just hope they see sense and pay the transfer fee accordingly.

R.I.P Emiliano, you will be missed by all football fans. My thoughts remain with family and friends.
The payment of his fee to Nantes feels irrelevant to me.

R.I.P to Emiliano and the pilot. I'm sure that football has lost a man who was going to have a big impact in this country for the next 2 or 3 years.
-
Is there still any hope of the two men being found alive? Would be the most incredible ending to a tragic situation if they are still surviving somehow.

This genuinely makes me feel sick, I hate flying, the idea of getting on a plane that looks like it's going to fall apart and then doesn't start, no way I would have got on it.
What I don't understand is why he got on it, surely after making a big money transfer he would have been in a position to say "I don't feel comfortable getting on that plane!". That said, I suppose it's easy to say that with hindsight. I just can't imagine what his father must be thinking right now.I've been considering that, and it's the reason I don't believe the veracity of these messages. You simply wouldn't risk getting on a plane that you didn't feel comfortable with, and the pilot wouldn't fly it if there were any issues, you would presume.
This is probably all fabricated on the internet.

Also wish to add my deepest sympathies to Nantes FC, it is clear they are suffering and feel like they have lost a much-loved son.
You are in all of our thoughts, the people of Nantes.

Football is irrelevant on a day like today. A young family man has lost his life after securing himself a new future, and the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach.
Thank you to all the BCFC fans that have sent their thoughts to our club and putting rivalry aside. Despite us not having the chance to see him play, he was a Cardiff City player and a fellow Bluebird nonetheless.
Respect to Bristol City.
Blue, exactly right, on footie matters we are rivals, but this is a tragedy for all football fans. On a personal point, I've been following Sala's transfer closely for the last week and was looking forward to seeing him play and whether he would fire in the goals to keep you up. Here's hoping there's a happy ending and he is still found, surviving somehow.
Sala and the pilot, we hope you are still alive and waiting to be found.

That figure is miniscule, how many people have died from let's say old age in that time period?
Clearly, I don't know the answer, not sure if such a thing is recorded - but it must be far higher.
