  1. Not in person - will have to wait for the gap to close a bit more! Looks quite impressive from the photos I've seen though.
  2. Trashcan Gate/Trashton Gate has been used to describe your stadium for years. Yes, it is about as relevant now as us being called Gasheads, over 25 years after leaving Eastville - some things just stick. Thanks for your comment on my mentality, although it has been assesed by people far more qualified than you.
  3. I think you'll find that Trashcan Gate is a little closer to home for you reds!
  4. No problem with season ticket holders getting in free - they buy a ticket to see every league game played at home. The terms and conditions re. abandoned games are up to each individual club, however, Swindon do not have a clear policy included in their fans charter, so make it up as they go along. A tenner reduction for the re-arranged game would have been fine, and I'm sure that they would still have covered their costs as the majority of people would take up the offer.
  5. The poster stated that the photo was taken at half-time. I've never been in a ground where everybody remains in their seat at half-time, whatever the weather.
  6. I think it might be 60 minutes. Swindon would have had a big police bill today, so a bit of a blow if they had to refund money.
  7. The Cottage Pie is highly recommended.
  8. I expect that his primary school had been given some free tickets.
  9. Apparently pies will be back on the menu as from next week - power to the people!
  10. I'll take your word for it - I can't even brace myself to click on the "play" icon!
  11. I think most Gasheads are aware that the family own around 32% of shares in the Arab Jordan Investment Bank, and are also major shareholders in a tourism company which owns The Four Seasons Hotel Amman. They aren't billionaires. Haven't seen any verified figures of their actual wealth, so no idea if the "under a hundred million" quoted is accurate.
  12. The "Millwall away days" is a Millwall fan!
  13. That's rather a big assumption - what makes you think I'm intelligent enough to drive!
  14. The players are not likely to be in the loop re. what the current situation is, as they are/have been on holiday/stag dos at the moment. Having said that, I'll believe it when I'm sat in my seat at UWE.
  15. Flip Flop! (This is the word association thread - right?)
  16. Good question. Could be that the Leeds interest just hurried things along, and increased the £££'s on offer - I don't think anybody saw that one coming? Clarke had stated that he needed a total break from football, so maybe the Board had agreed with him that contract negotiations would start when he was back from his honeymoon.
  17. Yeah - he could have gone to work for a crazy Italian, who would have sacked him if they weren't top by the end of September.
  18. I think he goes either tomorrow or Friday, the players have just come back from their jolly.
  19. This is dragging on for too long - I've got a horrible feeling that he's gonna go.
  20. I'd be totally gutted. I don't even see it a as brilliant opportunity for him with that madman owner at Leeds - from our experience DC's teams start the season slowly, so he'd be out of a job by September.
  21. Terry's obviously signed a new contract so that Chelsea will get a transfer fee when our billionaire owner gets the cheque book out to sign him! We musn't forget the needs of the smaller clubs now that we're well and truly minted.
  22. The Leicester squad are being treated to a trip to Vegas as they did not have any bonuses written into their contracts with regard to winning the Premiership. I guess that paying for a holiday and some spending money is looked upon differently to hard cash going into their bank accounts.
  23. Matthias Kurth ‏@ITVMatthias 1h1 hour ago #BristolRovers owner Wael Al-Qadi has given his players £100,000 to go an celebrate promotion in Las Vegas. Wow. #rovers @Official_BRFC
  24. Still in shock - don't think I've ever been to a match that was so emotionally draining. Still minding the gap, although it just got a little bit narrower.
