Credit must be given to Sean O’Driscoll and Amy Kington for getting the Cat 2 status in the first place. That was the foundation of what we see now.
Amy led the whole project for the initial Cat 2 application and audit. SOD (although much maligned) helped massively with this too with significant input.
Amy’s comments in the video below tell you exactly how we got to where we are today. The work put into this 11-12 years ago is what we are seeing the fruition of now.
Yes, Tinnion then later became responsible for the pathway between 18’s and 21’s to the first team, but the foundation was very much credited to Amy and her team (with the help of SOD too)

apologies for Jonboy on the vid too!!

Jeez, what a difference in communication (Amy, not Jon) to Tinnion or anyone else at the club.

Why was she not kept on? She’s done some really good work with young people since leaving City.

  3. "This has been a long process, this hasn't happened overnight. This probably started with Brian Tinnion, who is now our technical director," Bristol City player pathway manager Trevor Challis told BBC Sport.

    Its just so transparent.

It says we want to be a Cat 1 academy but both Jon Lansdown and Tinnion have said we haven’t. They just get a consistent message on anything.

Not available anymore - have you got some new links please?
Or a link to the actual seller.
    Thanks

The seller had no feedback and it’s been taken off his listings. It’s quite hard to sell stuff on eBay if you’re not authorised.

Is it just me who hasn't received any communicatuon for season tickets renewals? I get most/all of the other e-mails but I haven't received anything and I know I have in the past.

I am holding off for now, there are 6 games between now and the deadline so I definitely wont be renewing until after those games.

I will probably renew but this is the first time in close to 30 years I feel like I'm just not that bothered. The only problem is that if Manning goes the four or five people involved in getting him here are still going to be around so it doesn't guarantee anything will change.

Ironically, mine went straight into my junk folder.

Being serious for a moment, if you can be serious re a Roy tweet, I heard there were mumblings of discontent pre-Swansea.  However I bet they were all patting each other on the back last Sunday.  But this one won’t go away.

    Discontent between whom, Dave?

We keep hearing Liam Nothing (sorry Manning) say how he’s always trying to make sure the players take the emotion out of the game.

I don’t like this approach. Emotion is part of football. Sometimes it can affect you poorly but in my experience it can also have as much of a positive effect than a negative one.

I actually WANT to see my team playing WITH emotion. Not without it.

I’ve really had enough of this bloke.

We also hear him say “at half time we spoke about how we might think about how to engage higher”.
No no no!! It’s your effing job to TELL them how to engage higher. Not have a polite feckin conversation about it.

    Enough. Honestly.

    Exactly.
Take the emotion out of the players, then don’t expect the fans to get emotional and make noise.

Liverpool winning in Istanbul is a perfect example of emotion winning you the game.

    You sure you’re not Tinnion?

    It was 3-1..

What do you expect? This’ll be a question in the quiz held during the official 20 year anniversary dinner.

  9. He’ll be a great pub quiz answer in 20 years time.

’what is the name of the loanee who came on to help secure our historic 3-0 victory against Southampton in 2024?’

I'm unsure which Fans Forum you mean but my experience at the end of the 2022 one- my first and only Fans Forum- NP and Gould, they seemed great, happy to talk to fans etc. Not saying Tinnion wasn't btw but I reckon it was more genuine from them..

Tinnion and his Body Language just isn't good is it. Can't say I got the same feel or vibe off him set against the other 2.

    The most recent one…

Tinnion tells us he was the best player in Ireland.
He also tells us in yesterdays interview that he hasn’t featured yet as he is still in “pre season” as the Irish league only finished in November!!

    November mind!!

His last game was 3rd November. So he’s had 4 months and 10 days off so far.
This would be the equivalent of it now being 18th September if you take the same number of days since we ended our season on 8th May.

Interestingly, the other “best player in Ireland” (my opinion), Jack Moylan, also finished on 3rd November but has now made 10 appearances for Lincoln. They gradually integrated him and he’s now started the last 2 and scored 4 goals. A couple of ‘wow’ goals too.

Anyway, my point is, 2 players who finished the Irish season on 3rd November. 1 has now made 10 league 1 appearances, the other is so-say still in pre-season and hasn’t even had a single minute for our under 21’s.

What’s REALLY going on with him?? Is Brian telling us porkies again. There’s no way this kid is still in early pre season mode. Why has he not played a single minute for the 21’s at the very least??

The answer to lots of these weird things the club have done for about a year now.

They hide, bullshit, twist, spin and downright lie to the fans. You only have to go back to the fans forums and see Tinnion, arms folded, eye rolling and sighing to know what he thinks about the fan base.

    A. Manager.

I’d run through a brick wall for that guy.

Absolutely pisses all over the theory football games should be over emotional.

    😂 @Sir Geoff

The issue for me answering that question is that it was so badly phrased on Ian's part.

Would I beat happy to win 16 games at home per season, whilst playing dire football?

So would I be happy in essence to get promotion playing dire football?

The dire football yesterday was so awful that it would be a really hard sell to come and watch it, but do I want promotion? 🤔

Ian once again tried to defend LM. But I bought up all of his postings during the game where he commented how bad it was, and what he would do to change it.

In true Ian fashion, following the podcast he went back to his postings and deleted a number of those posts to show his feelings in a more positive light post result. It's his way of appearing to be in the right all the time.

It was an absolute nonsense question. I think @TomSutton touched on it. It would be almost impossible to have champions level home form playing that badly. He also didn’t mention the away form. If you play that badly away, you’re more likely to lose more.

It also ridiculous to think playing that badly was some sort of clever game plan we executed perfectly to grind out a result.

Whatever the game plan was, we failed, we were awful, we were lucky to win.
