Who was it?

Maybe he’s starting to get worried about the amount of teams who are now on their 3rd manager of the season.
He makes me laugh when he says things like he’s worked on the set pieces, questioning the players mentality and if they are willing to learn. These are all the qualities and attributes we were showing under Pearson. If that’s now gone then that’s down to him.

That is our ******* luck if true.
The very last game before he gets sentenced to a year in prison with a year suspended, he scores the winner against us. Eh?
It is small beer in the grand scheme of things but?? Eh??
I think this is quite a bad take. I think the truck driver has the worse luck.
Chair playing isn’t why we lost the game.- 4

It's a very well written article but I'm afraid I don't share Dave's fascination with tactical aspects of the modern game.
High block, transition, possession percentages, passes per sequence etc etc leave me cold. I just want to see City set out to play attacking football at AG with as much goalmouth action as possible. In other words to be entertained.
Modern coaches like LM should remember football is a spectator sport and if their cagey approach doesn't at least yield the 3 points - the one consolation for a dull match - it can more often than not be a frustrating bore for the average fan who's gone down there to see some action, let off some steam, and be entertained.
I sort of agree and to be fair, I think @Davefevs has said he isn’t fussed about the styles as long as we win.
Gary Johnson’s football wasn’t always slick but the promotion and play off season wears a brilliant time to be a fan. (Unless you are @Robbored.)

Have you seen the numerous threads that I have posted about the work the SC&T are doing with the club?
I am interested what more you would like to see @Jerseybean?
I’ve been critical on the SC&T but your efforts and communication, via the forum, has been a lot better recently.
However, this is about the club. A lot of the responses they gave you last time were poor or just fobbing off. I appreciate some were written so it was difficult for you to press.

Hamstring Ping Centre strikes again. Bloody Rennie and Pearson, they should be replaced.

How could you possibly know that members of Bristol City staff read the forum and are upset by negative remarks…..?
Read the Gary Johnson/Robbored in the classics section - that explain how @Robbored knows!

Unbelievable presumably still injured but why have him on the bench

If he was less fit than Sykes, he must be crutches. If he’s not fit to come on, then don’t include him.

What is the point of having a £5m play maker on the bench and not using him?
Absolute madness.

The club have flirted with having an older, experienced CM (Hartley, O’Neil, Brunt) for years. For once, they got it right with James. It would be madness not to have the conversation with him. We saw how badly it went when we tried replacing Pack and Smith at once.

Haven’t seen any highlights, but it looked a top finish tonight. Was it?
It was a good finish, those sort of chances are easy to spoon.
What made it easier was the ‘out and in’ run by Wells to create the space. Then the ball from McCorie that was flat, pacy and on Cornicks step.

Nor me!
As the Australian Olympic hockey player was asked - what’s the difference between grass and astroturf?
His reply - dunno, I’ve never smoked astroturf!
Nah, Rodney Trotter said that first.

Yawn yourself.
If anyone else had posted that reference you would have ignored it but because it was @Robbored you thought you’d join the gang.
Childish and tantamount to bullying behaviour by posting replies which were not quite verbatim but were pretty close to it. There is an ignore button you can use if it bothers you that much.If you’re that concerned, go look at his posting history.

Definitely the Hartlepool game with Christian Roberts scoring the winner. The Dolman Stand shook such was the eruption of noise and celebrations.
The referee (Grahame Poll I think) said it was loudest roar he’d ever heard in any stadium.
No he didn’t. You’ve repeated that line several times over the years and you’ve been shown he didn’t say it.

I’m not sure why @Davefevs is getting so much stick. He’s the one of the most balanced posters and rarely posts based on emotion.
Call it what you want, the formation/shape/game plan, the change didn’t work. It invited pressure on to us. It made us look like Everton v Man City.
Whats more frustrating, when we are losing a game (still not over Leeds) Manning doesn’t even tweak things, let alone completely change things to get a result.
Delighted with the result, but Mannings in game play still remains poor.

Based on this game, Wells is first choice. Conway has barely moved.

If we don’t win this game, it’s firmly on Manning. There was no need to go 5 at the back.

City exited the FA Cup with a spirited display against Forest, pushing their Premier League opponents through to extra time before a Sam Bell miss cost them dearly in a penalty shoot out.
Like against West Ham the team did not look outclassed in stark contrast to Friday's game vs Leeds. They recovered from an early goal to draw level within 5 minutes and for long periods were very much in control. If only they had converted those chances in the second half of extra time!
Now City need to take this form into the league games.Dave P is joined by Ian and Mark
How do you know?

My advice would be to ask @JerrySLO in the sub section
He has largely been responsible for arranging and giving them in the recent past
Is there much point in that section anymore? It seems a lot of questions are answered by yourself, which is a good thing on your part.

Maybe we should have let him leave for Forest Green after all.
