I'll give my perspective on this.
They are very much 'in' with the club and therefore their opinions may not be as independent as you would like on a podcast. For example they seemed quite desperate to get Conway to criticise the previous regime and praise the current regime.
Due to how they have positioned themselves within the club there is always a reluctance from them to call the club out on things because they don't want to lose the perks they get such as being able to get the likes on Conway on their pod.
Whilst on the other pod Ian is a bit of an idiot at least the opinions are independent and they are not afraid to call the club out on things. Personally I respect people who do that.
You won't ever hear any controversial opinions on 3piap in my opinion. Probably the furthest they will ever go is criticising team selections and performances but anything to do with the running of the club they won't say anything controversial. They do like to keep making passive digs at Pearson tho which probably earns a few more gold stars.
That’s all true but how does that affect FBC?
I bet they won’t be as fiercely independent and outspoken if they get there interviews with Marshall and Tinnion.

Anyone know when the tv games are announced? Can’t buy until the date is confirmed.

My second favourite Tommy moment was when he meekly celebrated his 2nd ‘goal’ just in case he manage to fool the ref, Lino and VAR!

What a guy. In the era of media trained and/or thick footballers, it’s nice to see a funny, natural lad getting caught up in the emotion. That interviewer pisses all over Dave Barton.
What impressed me today was he worked bloody hard and battled well against some big, strong, centre backs.

I do like Knight as a player. However, at times, it’s a bit of a waste having him as a no10. It was more evident today, he’s not very good in the final third. He was a decent first touch but it’s rarely a touch in the right direction. I would prefer someone more likely to score and assist in that role. Judging by the rumours, the club is looking at it.

Joe Williams bossing the midfield.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone so far onside.
Exactly. It wasn’t exactly a great pass or run.

I know we’re playing a better side, but that’s an awful goal to give away.

Never gonna happen. Of course, all prem fans sit down nicely for 90 mins.

Barton has an impressive CV - that’ll be a significant factor in him getting the job.

Back to back on the centre line is my guess
I doubt it. They usually use the Atyeo for dressing rooms

Apparently both will be on the pitch.

That was already discussed a long time ago, explained and resolved so I have no idea why you keep chirping away
What is amusing it that you used to constantly belittle @Dollymarie on here and now you constantly pick up on my posts
Do us both a favour and put me on ignore
Eh? What’s has she got to do with it?
Im just pointing out there is a theme to how you respond to people in your different roles.

Thanks - all I’m really trying to do is establish now the trial has ended (and two months seems to be long enough), the forum view on whether it should stay. And the answer is one of two things:
- The majority of the forum don’t want it to stay so it should be remerged in line with @Maesknoll Reds post (I’d reiterate that as no “success” criteria was laid down in the trial then the only thing that can be used to gauge success is the forum view)
- The mods are of the mind it should stay, even though the majority don’t want it. And there is nothing wrong with that but it does draw a line in the sand as to who the forum is being run for and I’d imagine that will be a consideration when paying members come to renew
Either way avoiding the question is really disrespectful - not just to me, but to the majority of the forum who have expressed a view. Phantoms “answer” wasn’t an answer in any way as it just said “many requested it” with no quantification particularly when we do have an opinion gauge now.
Again, avoidance of doubt if only 20ish percent of people expressed a strong desire for it to go I’d happily go with that majority view.
There is form for it. Looks at some of the comms around the supporters trust. ‘Who cares’ was the reply to posters raising questions.
the forum is missing the overlord.

Seemed odd at the time but as @Silvio Dante says it was a trial. As a paying member of the site, I think he has the right to ask the question and not be dismissed by admin.

We’ve tried Bell there for the best part of the year. It hasn’t worked.

Certainly presenting us with a dilemma.
Expect as he’s the only player left not to leave or renew his contract since prior to the pandemic he’s at the very top of our remaining earners now.
After a horrendous first season & not great second one in terms of his availability he managed 33/46 games last season & has done 20/25 this.
His recent form has been excellent & earlier in the season (outstanding at Swansea) he’s played very well too.
Not a clear cut decision either way, at 27 he’s at his peak but I doubt we are interested in offering him even his current wages & that is if we decide to offer anything at all.
Certainly expect either him or James to depart next summer, alongside King, but it could conceivably be all 3.
That’s my fear. That’s a big ask to do in one window. The last time we did that (Brownhill/Pack/Smith) we really struggled.
I’d like at least one replacement signed in January and/or James kept on for a year. I’d imagine Joe Williams is one of our top earners.

I’ve just collected tickets directly from Jerry at AG via a communication on X to SLO. Jerry did say they were over 500 tickets that needed collection & was hoping that the ticket office would open tomorrow as it would be carnage taking that many up there.
Thanks to Jerry for his support today as top man & went over and beyond to help.
10 minutes ago, FromeReds said:Tickets can be collected in Birmingham if need, next to the away stand entrance. I’ve checked this with Jerry .
I’m glad Jerry had been helpful for you both.
However, once again, the comms from the club is awful. When I do ‘click and collect’ with any other company, I expect immediate instructions on how do to collect. I couldn’t even see opening times on the official site.
