  1. But they weren't cheering the fact that King was leaving the field, it was a message to Pearson who was forced to change the positioning and selection.
  2. Not a flippant question, but who is that and what is the correct way to express our displeasure to them? For me it's simple. Serve up something that's worth watching and people will be happy. Serve up dross week, after week, after week and they won't be. One home win since August.
  3. Too true. You can even pinpoint the moment in the game. It was like a trap door opened underneath us.
  4. But what about Millen, Tinnion, SOD (not a high end appointment in my eyes), Holden, McInnes, Smith, Lumsden - All crap. Yet Cooper and Jordan didn't do too bad.
  5. West Brom weren't exactly ear splitting when we beat them up there earlier in the season while they were playing poorly. Today, their form has picked up and they were winning and they were noisy, funny that. We've been generally shit for close on 5 years now. Even 1982 and all that didn't go on for this long before something good happened. We have won once at home since August including getting utterly embarrassed at home to Lincoln. I'm surprised people turn up at all let alone make a load of noise. What is there to be noisy about?
  6. Was closed last weekend. Just wondering if anyone has passed through there in the last few days. Thanks
  7. Agree with all of this with the exception of the fanbase comment. We're not even close to being the worst, I'm amazed how tolerant we've been and continue to be. 25/30 years ago the crowd would have been far more vocal in expressing it's displeasure.
  8. Play-offs? One home win since August. One that I couldn't get to ! I'd just like to see us win a game.
  9. Absolutely. The club needs an injection of enthusiasm and drive. Some match day presence and connection with supporters would go a long way too. We look like a club that's just functioning and nothing more. We need to look like a club that's functioning and means business.
  10. We've reached Christmas and that's one home win since August, including getting embarrassed at home to Lincoln in the cup. We know what happens to teams that don't win at home. You can't keep serving that up to your home fans week in week out. A thumping at home to West Brom and Pearson could be for the chop, but then again are the money men interested anymore? Doesn't feel like anyone cares what happens and they are taking me down with them.
  11. There is that. We won't have to spend the summer being fed up with another England penalty nightmare or a play off defeat. Nothing better than another game straight away to get over a big disappointment.
  12. Sad indeed. As a youngster I loved watching Hi-de-Hi, still makes me laugh now, especially the awkward moments between Gladys and Jeffrey Fairbrother. I also remember watching the entire Hi-de-Hi cast in Dick Whittington (Ruth Madoc in the leading role) at the Hippodrome back in the early 80's and it was brilliant.
  13. What happens if teams finish level on points, goal difference, goals scored, results between teams?
  14. Very true. Could do with subtitles on the big screens.
  15. Indeed. I do wonder if Steve even knew we played last night.
  16. I really do wish him all the best for a speedy recovery. I've often questioned the safety of the perimeters of football pitches. There have been quite a few of these unfortunate, sometimes tragic incidents. Maybe it's time for a re-think.
  17. Never say never. When they were temporarily housed in the Dolman Stand, I recall a Radio Bristol commentator assuring me that Pearson would never come here, well he did. What will Gerrard do next? Will he just walk into a Premier League job, go back to Scotland? If not what's left for him, Championship or outside the UK? If any of those three want to stay in football, they may (like a lot of players) have to revise their expectations.
  18. What will Gerrards next move be? Championship level?
  19. I'd like him to stay, keep us up and rebuild some more in the summer. However, this is reminding me of one of those electric car tests, will it run out of power before getting to the destination? I fear we'll get to a position in the league where he won't make it to the end of the season.
