Watching from afar on the TV, I was proud of the way we stood up, I think 3-0 flattered Man City, but they showed us respect and we earned it back. Very nice words from Guardiola and Foden after the game. De Bruyne is such a class act...mind you, Alex Scott had Ian Wright in particular purring. Onwards! Well played, City, and the atmosphere felt absolutely febrile, even on TV, wonderful. Special mention to whoever thought of the scarves - genius.

I loved that original pinstripe kit, not so wild about this one. New away kit then, too? Shame, I love this season's.

It would be deeply upsetting to move away from Hummel, the kits have been very imaginative (if not always my cup of tea). This year's away and third kits are excellent. If we do move, it HAS to be to someone who will provide 'bespoke' kits - no more bl00dy templates, like the Star Trek abhorrence from Adidas.

He's been a caricature all his life. A caricature of a football manager, playing 1980s hoofball whilst acting like a 1970s manager. We had his pale imitation, Pulis, instead. Be careful what you wish for.

It's about time Net Zero became a serious consideration at BS3. Increasingly, we are seeing other places with things like PVs on the roof of stands, even wind turbines; there must be significant opportunities for us to decarbonise, even if it's simple stuff like the tat we sell in the shop, the wrappings for food and drinks containers. And don't even get me started on travel! I work with the NHS, which has a very ambitious NZC target, and they are really taking this seriously now. And it extends to patient and staff travel - so for a football club, would extend to player, staff and fan travel, for example. About time BCFC had a sustainability lead who was visible and making some changes.
