Come on, @Davefevs, I'm not that shallow in my analysis, even if I can't understand your graphs. It's more a case of how he fits in the team, in the shape - we have a LB who has been exceptional this season, do we really want a backup that the fans will be clamouring for? And whose wages will likely be pretty hefty? And who's 29 (not old, but). I just don't see how JB fits into the whole team. However, he is a good player, and by all accounts an excellent young man, so fingers crossed it works out. But I think he'd want to start, so where does that leave Pring? -

If we weren't sure we needed him, yes -

I seem to be the only one on here with deep misgivings about this potential deal -
4-0? Does that mean we're better than Real Madrid, because we only lost 3-0? ?

This. Ultimately, look at the squad depth at Man City

The thing is, you need public transport to be reliable, frequent and cheap to make people switch. Bristol has been crying out for a mass transit service since...<<insert date>>

Do you think this is a good move, tho'? I'm not sure, he's not the best defender, more of a wing back. Unless we were going to push him further up the pitch? -
Bizarre, I know, but I've seen Sicario and Wind River several times. Neither are exactly...laugh fests... Perhaps there should be a thread on 'great films you'd only watch once', into which category I would drop Children of Men, a wonderful and very prescient film, but pretty grim.

Yup, I was there, an absolute shocker of a game. Tony Caldwell got what was one of only a handful of goals for us. I actually met one of the Aylesbury players a few years back, chap called Cliff Hercules, who now runs football coaching schools for kids. Lovely guy, I mentioned that game, and how we were absolutely cr**ping it because of our keeper. He said that they never knew!!! "Had we known, we'd have taken a few more pot shots!".

I'm super old, agree with most of the above, glad someone mentioned Russell Bromage, who overlapped his overlaps. My personal favourite was probably Martin Scott, because I might meet him one day and don't want to upset him... PS: Inevitably, back in the day, Rob Newman played there once or twice and was perfectly good.

I think a lot of credit to Zac himself, for taking on board advice, and really moving on as a player. Bit like Bobby Reid all those years ago, at the start of the season, he was one that many would happily have moved on, yet he's been been outstanding.

So, I'm considering moving back west. I've had a look on Rightmove, etc., the prices in Bristol are truly terrifying, but for a range of reasons I need to reconnect with city (and City). My plan is to take a smallish, ideally new-ish, 2-3 bed property, not out in some godforsaken outpost, where it's pleasant to live but with access to the city centre. Any thoughts from you locals? PS it's been 30+ years since I lived in a BS postcode, so I am not au fait with all the cool and groovy stuff that's going on. I don't know where's cool, where rough, and where's full of Slags...!
