What an absolute, avoidable mess they have made
If we didn't know better you'd think they were deliberately sabotaging the club with these bizarre decisions
If you're trying to sell your house, you don't crap on the doorstep before the viewings

Seriously - we binned a manager, rightly or wrongly, and appointed a risky replacement.
Smarter people than me, the likes of @Davefevs - who is not prone to pulling triggers- are saying it's change time again. But change...to whom? Or what? Does Tinnion have to go, too?

We'd better pick up some points. There's a bunch of teams within a couple of results of our position, so we need points ASAP. Trouble is, as shown against Cardiff, we are poor when playing teams who obdurately defend from the first minute

I think Tommy missed Alex Scott a lot

We went thru a spell under GJ when we seemed to concede a late equaliser every game.
I know, that was me as well

Back in the day, City had a terrible habit of appointing from within, without the person appointed having any real merit. "Jobs for the boys" - and it was obvious that some right rubbish got jobs, in all sorts of roles.
Would Tinman (sadly) fall into that category? He did an amazing job with the academy. Maybe he needs a strong person to stand up to him, say...Gould.

Just to be clear, it's @Davefevs on the pod, not one of the other 42,784 Daves that go on City pods?
And is that rude Ian fellow on again?
-
I'm amazingly superstitious about football*, so never look at the score until the game's over.
Last night I clicked on to the Beeb at 10, assuming the game would be done. Ipswich immediately scored.
Sorry, this used to happen a lot under GJ as well.
*and yet a staunch atheist, go figure

i will go and help him, i will show him the skysports article from antoine and tell him to let everyone else do the same at what they are best at.
we just dont have a squad of all rounders who can switch to this, that or the other style of play
part of the article, so simple to understand i dont get why the coaches cant see it
A handful more appearances for Bristol City followed before another loan spell, this time at Sunderland in League One until he finally broke into the first team. Then Nigel Pearson arrived. Semenyo smiles at that name.
"I had a bit of a cagey start with him. I wasn't really playing much and as a player you're like, 'Why am I not playing?'. He just said your best ability is running and shooting so all you need to do is run and shoot!
"There was a lot of direct football and I blossomed off that. I played in a front three with Andreas Weimann and Chris Martin and that year was one of the best of my career."
He scored again yesterday, guess what he did...

The Coppell “cameo” showed that a real football person with a brain (degree in economics iirc) took a week or so to work out that there was something very wrong with the way the club was run by the owner. The owner who brought in David James as goalkeeper on an enormous contract without informing the manager!
I've got a degree in Economics, do you think they'd give me the job?

Nigel Pearson as DoF?

I wasn’t on the pod yesterday. You’ll need to listen in on Wednesday to see me.
My mistake, I thought it was you! #Clueless
EDIT: Just seen it was 'Dave P'. Too many Daves...

I don’t think I was alone, plenty of others appreciated the work Nige, his staff and the players were doing under difficult circumstances.
Yep, it didn’t take him long to fall-back on his excuses.
His football opinion is stuck in the 1980s. He needs to go away, read, watch some modern day football, digest it, understand it, then return. It’s so base. It’s why he can’t see further than the inside of his source’s ass.
+++++
@headhunter was a great pod though, absolute carnage in some respects, but I set my alarm for this, but need not have worried, I was awake.
@Curr Avon well done for actually trying to give some football answers, rather than Ian just making excuses.
I never thought I'd see the day when @Davefevs got angry. Still, at least I know what he looks like now!

One does wonder about the players, let's be honest - they're NP's team. BUT...I couldn't understand why Sykes was kept on the left, he did nothing, nothing at all. When Mehmeti came on, why did he play on the right, and not swap with Sykes?

Please just sell up, Mr Lansdown
The majority of us, I imagine, can’t take your custodianship of City any longer
Sadly, it's not that simple, for all his faults I imagine Steve L wants to sell to someone who will care for the club, there have been so many examples of that not happening - including to our opponents, yesterday, whose owner changed their colours, FFS.
With regard to the footballing side, I made a rare foray to AG yesterday with the boy, who also came to the Watford (A) game. Now, he's not a City fan (don't ask), but after the match, he asked "Why didn't Pring play?", having seen Cam destroy Watford.
And you have to ask, where was the invention, the flair, the risk taking? All gone. It was a horrible performance, taking nothing away from Cardiff who did a solid job, and rarely looked troubled.

Am about to drive from Berkshire, and people moaning in Bristol, saying can't get the car out etc. Spoken to a few local friends and what is being shown on here is hysteria at it's finest.
What has happened to this country?
The term snowflake has never been more apt.
Just drive carefully where there is snow and you'll be fine.
Talk of canceling a game due to a bit of snow.. give your heads a wobble.
Wow, it must be amazing to be as heroic as you. I am in awe, you brave hero.

I would say if you park a couple of hours before kick off you should be ok, any later and you could spend a while looking for a space.
OK ta, I'm looking to scout out BS3 anyway as a possible place to live, so this gives me an excuse!

Quick refresher of this topic - regarding on street parking, how far in advance do you need to arrive? I'm coming down with the boy at the weekend, as luck would have it heading to Cardiff after to drop him back at uni

Wow, 9 pages about a one-off jersey.
We didn't get that for the special jerseys used in the FL trophy finals vs Mansfield and Stoke, did we?

So, lots of skiers here! I'm off to Bourg d'Oisans, BTW (near Alpe d'Huez)
If not Manning, then whom?
