Might go to Pompey, not been since about 99. But unimpressed with the friendlies so far, might have to look for a game elsewhere.

The Office (UK): Ipswich Town edition

I think Steve comes across as a trusting and genuinely nice guy. He was told to appoint a Football man , Ashton ticked the boxes and I think they got on. No one likes to be proved wrong, and that seems to be more so with Steve L . I don't think he would appoint the used Car dealer again, but I do think he would consider him a mate. That's how bullshitters engrain themselves, Ashton is all smoke and mirrors, Richard Gould and Phil Alexander have shown you can be good at you job without hogging the limelight in good times while hiding when the going gets tough. -

All that over inflated ego , no chance. -
Old, but new to me. Started looking into Corduroy after going to an Acid Jazz exhibition last weekend. Really like their Jazz stuff, but then they branch out and shake it up. Love this cover of Motorhead and love he fact I enjoy both versions.

Shocking clearance though it was ( it was just panic ) , they lost the game in normal time before added time. Their heads had gone/dropped say it how you want, it looked like they were waiting to concede . Those punts forward were only ever going to kill a few seconds, no one up front to get hold of the ball. Really poor performance and plan. That's the problem, one can't just plan for one outcome, you have to cover as many bases as possible . That's Ferguson done .................. until the next time.

Just read that the final is in Prague , that's fine and you can't argue UEFA wanting to move the Finals around Europe. But both teams getting allocations of under 5k is ridiculous . The Stadium is clearly too small for a "showcase" game. There should be limits on qualifying criteria for a stadium 20,000 is not big enough for such a game. Also the finalists getting 50% of the places ? I guess all the corporate cling ons will enjoy their invites, probably watch about 30 minutes of the football and go to the free bars. Still, not about the football is it, definitely not about the fans.

I would have liked to see Peterborough sneak up, underdogs and all that. Plus the division might have been a little weaker, which might have helped us.

I missed a lot of the game, I was watching Newcastle (good game too) and turned over as it went 3-0, utter madness. It was a masterclass in how not to see a game out. Wednesday seemed to want the ball so much more. Neither team showed too much patience or quality, and P'boros hold up play at a time it was vital, was non existent . Fair play to Sheff , but Throw away a 4-0 then 5-4 and top it off with such a bad clearance. They really did implode. Not sure where the added 1:30 came from they tacked onto the 6 added mins , but they didn't help themselves.

I did double check Hooper as I couldn't remember if he went to Liverpool straight from us or not....... Not I'm resigned to losing him, so .... Win the World Cup , Man of the Tournament & MotM most games and then we get £40M and a loan back -

I only add the least respected rumour monger on Twitter for a couple of reasons. Liverpool have been mentioned and it got me thinking to the last transfer from us to Liverpool. The only one I can think of is Peter Spiring. Admittedly my memory is shocking so, anyone else think of another. -
I totally agree, but gyokeres decision making was poor come the end last night. Could have been a lot more comfortable with just a better choices on the several breaks they had in the last 15 minutes. Oh, and to add to the doom and gloom over Us Vs Them ... just saw this A short 5 years ago in Div 4

I don't disagree, or with your first post, but if they use the money wisely they have the opportunity for at least an extended stay further down the line. Burnley didn't spend massively (from memory) and built a reasonable team over 2 years for a longer stay, Fulham have gone for it but still have the fallback ob the better players that came in and the PP to carry on building. No certain formula, but getting there at least give you the means to make a better first of it the next time.

Will you copy and paste this on the ; Real Madrid v Man City Playoffs Ivan Toney Milan v Inter Emiliano Sala Everton FFP- yes are Cardiff the new Watford and other threads ? Just wondering.

Just looked for a laugh, £22 return . That might be enough to tempt me, 2hrs 30mins each way is a bit of a downer mind.

My take from that ... Exactly this Why didn't Cardiff arrange transport ? Why just buy someone worth £13m and not take an interest in him from the moment of "purchase" ? Seems very slapdash , doesn't seem like they even sent a representative from the club. A shit show of their own making it would seem.

That was a let down from Sunderland. Luton everything you expect, but Sunderland trying to run with the ball every single time and every player was madness come the end. Even when they got in good positions wide the lad ran at the defender when in a good position. That break by Luton, managed to turn a certain goal and a winning one, into another nervy few minutes. I bet the manager has a word. I don't think M'boro or Cov will be too worried.

I'm a bit odd with films, maybe because I watch them while on the cross trainer, I can watch most films over and over. The thing for me is ones I can't rewatch, but I still liked. Memento is great, but because of the twist I struggle to watch again knowing the end. The machinist is another, great twist but knowing the ending kind of stops me wanting to watch again. Not sure why as there are dozens I watch over and over.
